Now back to my regular blog:

I slept in this morning until 9am and awoke to a 3, with no back pain; took my am pills and put out my flag. It was a little busy yesterday as I did get to Jim and Frances' wedding. Dios los bendiga. Salud.
It was without a doubt one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever attended. I played golf in the morning Friday and then went to Bobbie and Dennis' for their Jimmy and Frances' prenuptual family BBQ gathering I found my 20th anniversary BULL SESSION book and I will have it for the August Union Meeting for Dave S. and I will not forget it, as I have it in the car already. I am not sure when I will be posting today as I have a couple of errands to run, and (if I remembered it right) I gave 2 Lemelin cousins Dan's email address. And Rob said he had, and would send him; pictures of Bob and Jeannie. I'm also going to try to remember to take my Woody Guthrie book to our next retiree meeting because I believe brother Bill Edens was also a big fan. I also got a phone call from B.M. John E. and he told me he was going to give me one of the BULL Session entry's that the Local has so I need to get hold of Ed Ellis and let him know, my initial payment should be considered a donation and I need to let John know I will not be making the auction and I still need an afternoon start. Again this is worth repeating, Mary Nolan has put her hat in the ring for the Amanda Fritz position on the City Council and based on my experience with her Mary is another candidate that deserves our support. I watched President Obama's speech to the nation, and while I thought he went to far in placating the republicans on raising the debt limit and it still appears the Republicans cannot take yes for an answer. I did get my U.A. Journal and they had an article in it about a family with over 170 years of UA membership. Very impressive, but our family will be sending over 2 centuries of UA membership, just to the Convention.

I will put the prayer to St. Jude in here again for good friend and brother Portland City commissioner Randy Leonard, the Jan Brasee family, and the Bill Goetsch family and all our 290 brothers and sisters that have come before us and built Our 290 into the organization I am so proud to have been a member of, for almost 40 years.

Saving space so I will just report I am still waiting for the “reimbursement's” for the amount above my regular co-payment, and Kaiser not only ignores its members, its customers, but the government; so my picketing continues and it at least has been getting positive responses while picketing at their building on MLK blvd, and that Red Robin, and their employees; across the street have been very supportive.

My B.P today is 112/69/67 at 12:15pm, very good considering the WONDERFUL celebration yesterday.

Entitlement YOUR ass , I paid cash for my social security insurance!!!! Just because THEY "borrowed" the money , doesn't make my benefits some kind of charity or handout !! "free" healthcare , outrageous retirement packages , 67 paid holidays , three weeks paid vacation , unlimited paid sick days , now that's welfare , and they have the nerve to call my retirement entitlements.

AOH REPORT:

Not much new to report on the “Unite Ireland” issue, but I will report that cousin Bob has a new daughter and I'm sure cousin brother Tom M. must be pleased with her name, and the little gift I got from MONTANA AOH, cousin Bob. Cousin Dan is writing a book on the Monahan and Mehren's families and I know, new great Aunt Bobbie is elated also, and brother Tom was already aware we are related. I am looking forward to our International Convention to see if our Assistant to the U.A General President, a U.A. brother by the name of Mark McManus is in any way related to Father Sean? I still haven't got the names down for that 15 year AOH picture yet. The Portland AOH face book page is up and does look good; so now others can find out we exist and I made many friend suggestions and I do hope they can post the 15year anniversary picture, WITH NAMES. We will be taking the summer off and not meeting again until September which, it appears; I will have to miss as it is my Union Meeting night, but they will have a special guest that I would love to meet, and based on my July and August it looks like I won't be able to make a meeting until October.

I still think we need a few OREGONIANS on Father McManus's “Congressional Friends” list. We must never forget the Ballymurphy Massacre of 1971, (40 years searching for justice). We need to realize along with a number of Irish Catholic's, including a priest that were assassinated that day there were also a number of Northern Irish Protestants. This battle for justice that is being waged here in the U.S.A. by father McManus is also being waged in Belfast Northern Ireland by a heroic Belfast protestant named Raymond McCord Sr., whose son was also assassinated. I have received Father McManus's book, but AOH President Bill want's to save passages for the September meeting and that works for me, I have read even more of it and I am beginning to understand the commissioner Fritz Animosity. I did send Father McManus a check to join his efforts and he sent me a thank you and I am now a Congressional friend of Father McManus.

SPORTS:

I am watching the IRISH OPEN right now and it is being played at Killarney golf and fishing club.

I did see that the Portland Timbers are selling individual tickets, and maybe we (AOH) can get an “Irish Appreciation Night fundraiser at Jeld Wen field? They are at very reasonable prices.

I seems like the weather still hasn't made up it's mind on whether summer is here and I hope to have some golf, and picketing weather.

My baseball reports will be limited to, the Mariners, of the AL W, the Orioles, of the AL East; and it IS next year for the Cubs.

THE 290 WEBSITE IS REALLY HEATING UP POLITICALLY AND I HAVE RECIEVED MANY COMMENTS ON MY 290 POST.

I DID TAKE THE “RAT PATROL” BUTTONS TO THE MEETING THIS MONTH, BUT I DID GET AN E-MAIL FROM JOHN AND HE SAID HE WANTED TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE CONVENTION TO START THE VOLUNTEER ORGANIZING COMMITEES.

I did post this on the “our 290” site.

Al Schropshire contacted me and asked to put my endorsement for Business Manager on his election web page, I told him I would be honored and he gave me one of his fliers at the meeting; WELL DONE. I am more convinced than ever he is the right person for the job. His statement to me that he was running for the membership, not running AGAINST LOU, showed me a lot of class.

I did get my first “election” flier from the “Hite Alliance”, and while I haven't officially joined, I do like the team he has put together but brother Mike told me it appears he may have competition.

Thanks again to all my Sisters and Brothers for electing me again to attend this year’s International Convention, (6 days away) and thanks for your generous support of The Oregon Military Support Network. I am still committed to taking our concerns regarding Harder Mechanical use of “Craig’s List” and other scams to recruit workers, I believe it is in direct violation of their Local and National agreements.

The Local is doing a M.A.P. Fundraiser for positions in the BULL, like we did last year; and the website link is fixed. I did remember to put my 20 year BULL anniversary book in the car so I have it for the next union meeting, as Dave Stahley said the are many who do not know what the BULL is.

The Local has started a M.A.P. Fundraiser for positions in the BULL, like we did last year; and the website link is fixed. I did remember to put my 20 year BULL anniversary book in the car so I have it for the next union meeting, as Dave Stahley said the are many who do not know what the BULL is.

Now back to my regular blog:

I awoke this morning at 8am to a 3, with no back pain; took my am pills and put out my flag. It was a little busy yesterday as I had my appointment with Dr. Zarelli and Danni came over afterwards and really cleaned up my bedroom and found my 20th anniversary BULL SESSION book and I will have it for the August Union Meeting for Dave S. and any I hope I don't forget it. I will be posting a little later today as I am responding to all those good wishes I am getting for my Birthday (HE'S THE BABY, GOTTA LOVE 'EM). Judi gave me a great card, a beautiful chocolate cake, a wonderful package of see's chocolate and a book about Woody Guthrie. I'm also going to try to remember to take it to our next retiree meeting because I believe brother Bill Edens was also a big fan. I'm going to have to load up my golf clubs in the car for tomorrow. Based on my appointment with my Chiropractor in Tigard, the treatment went really well and I think I'm ready for golf Tomorrow, Jim's wedding Saturday and the Convention. Again this is worth repeating, Mary Nolan has put her hat in the ring for the Amanda Fritz position on the City Council and based on my experience with her Mary is another candidate that deserves our support. I did get some of the stuff uncle Dan was looking for, for his book, and he was very happy with what he has received so far and I got a happy birthday from a couple of the Lemelins and sent them to check out his face book page. I watched President Obama's speech to the nation, and while I thought he went to far in placating the republicans on raising the debt limit but it still appears the Republicans cannot take yes for an answer. I did get my U.A. Journal and they had an article in it about a family with over 170 years of UA membership. Very impressive, but our family will be sending over 2 centuries of UA membership, just to the Convention.

I will put the prayer to St. Jude in here again for good friend and brother Portland City commissioner Randy Leonard, the Jan Brasee family, and the Bill Goetsch family and all our 290 brothers and sisters that have come before us and built Our 290 into the organization I am so proud to have been a member of, for almost 40 years.

AOH REPORT:

Not much new to report on the “Unite Ireland” issue, but I will report that cousin Bob has a new daughter and I'm sure brother Tom M. must be pleased with her name; and cousin Dan is writing a book on the Monahan and Mehren's families and I know, new great Aunt Bobbie is elated also, and brother Tom was already aware we are related. I am looking forward to our International Convention to see if our Assistant to the U.A General President, a U.A. brother by the name of Mark McManus is in any way related to Father Sean? I still haven't got the names down for that 15 year AOH picture yet. The Portland AOH face book page is up and does look good; so now others can find out we exist and I made many friend suggestions and I do hope they can post the 15year anniversary picture, WITH NAMES. We will be taking the summer off and not meeting again until September which, it appears; I will have to miss as it is my Union Meeting night, but they will have a special guest that I would love to meet, and based on my July and August it looks like I won't be able to make a meeting until October.

I still think we need a few OREGONIANS on Father McManus's “Congressional Friends” list. We must never forget the Ballymurphy Massacre of 1971, (40 years searching for justice). We need to realize along with a number of Irish Catholic's, including a priest that were assassinated that day there were also a number of Northern Irish Protestants. This battle for justice that is being waged here in the U.S.A. by father McManus is also being waged in Belfast Northern Ireland by a heroic Belfast protestant named Raymond McCord Sr., whose son was also assassinated. I have received Father McManus's book, but AOH President Bill want's to save passages for the September meeting and that works for me, I have read even more of it and I am beginning to understand the commissioner Fritz Animosity. I did send Father McManus a check to join his efforts and he sent me a thank you and I am now a Congressional friend of Father McManus.

SPORTS:

I did see that the Portland Timbers are selling individual tickets, and maybe we (AOH) can get an “Irish Appreciation Night fundraiser at Jeld Wen field? They are at very reasonable prices.

I seems like the weather still hasn't made up it's mind on whether summer is here and I hope to have some golf, and picketing weather.

My baseball reports will be limited to, the Mariners, (THE SLIDE IS OVER, THE YANKEE'S SEND THE MARINERS HOME WITH THE START OF A WINNING STREAK) of the AL W, the Orioles, of the AL East; and it IS next year for the Cubs.

THE 290 WEBSITE IS REALLY HEATING UP POLITICALLY AND I HAVE RECIEVED MANYCOMMENTS ON MY 290 POST.

I DID TAKE THE “RAT PATROL” BUTTONS TO THE MEETING THIS MONTH, BUT I DID GET AN E-MAIL FROM JOHN AND HE SAID HE WANTED TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE CONVENTION TO START THE VOLUNTEER ORGANIZING COMMITEES.

Al Schropshire contacted me and asked to put my endorsement for Business Manager on his election web page, I told him I would be honored and he gave me one of his fliers at the meeting; WELL DONE. I am more convinced than ever he is the right person for the job. His statement to me that he was running for the membership, not running AGAINST LOU, showed me a lot of class.

I did get my first “election” flier from the “Hite Alliance”, and while I haven't officially joined, I do like the team he has put together and brother Mike told me today it appears he will have competition.

I awoke this morning at 6am to a 3, with a little back pain; took my am pills and put out my flag, and I got a call from Danni because she was planning to come over before 10am and I asked her to wait until later because I have an appointment with my neurologist at 10:30 so I probably won't publish until after I get home from the doctor. I am not going to a weekly publishing of my blog because there is just too much going on, but I don't know if I will publish daily. It was a little busy yesterday, I had lunch with brother Mike and an appointment with my Chiropractor in Tigard, the treatment went really well and I think I'm ready for golf Friday and the Convention. I did also get to the credit union to talk about the Solar job and I moved my regular payment from our main account to my “stash” account, I still haven't received the “estimate” from the solar guy's but after talking to the credit union I should be able to get the job done, from union contractor (3 D Electric) that also installs solar under the State and Federal Plans. Judi and I are divided on it but maybe this new plan will satisfy her. This is worth repeating, Mary Nolan has put her hat in the ring for the Amanda Fritz position on the City Council and based on my experience with her Mary is another candidate that deserves our support. I did get some of the stuff uncle Dan was looking for, for his book, and he was very happy with what he has received so far. LOCAL UNION REPORT:

THE 290 WEBSITE IS REALLY HEATING UP POLITICALLY. I MISSED THE PICNIC DOWN SOUTH YESTERDAY, BUT IT DID SOUND LIKE A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL.

I DID TAKE THE “RAT PATROL” BUTTONS TO THE MEETING THIS MONTH, BUT I DID GET AN E-MAIL FROM JOHN AND HE SAID HE WANTED TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE CONVENTION TO START THE VOLUNTEER ORGANIZING COMMITEES.

I did post this on the “our 290” site.

Al Schropshire contacted me and asked to put my endorsement for Business Manager on his election web page, I told him I would be honored and he gave me one of his fliers at the meeting; WELL DONE. I am more convinced than ever he is the right person for the job. His statement to me that he was running for the membership, not running AGAINST LOU, showed me a lot of class.

I did get my first “election” flier from the “Hite Alliance”, and while I haven't officially joined, I do like the team he has put together and brother Mike told me today it appears he will have competition.

Thanks again to all my Sisters and Brothers for electing me again to attend this year’s International Convention, and thanks for your generous support of The Oregon Military Support Network. I am still committed to taking our concerns regarding Harder Mechanical use of “Craig’s List” and other scams to recruit workers, I believe it is in direct violation of their Local and National agreements.

The Local has started a M.A.P. Fundraiser for positions in the BULL, like we did last year; and the website link is fixed. I need to remember to take my 20 year BULL anniversary book to the next union meeting, as Dave Stahley said the are many who do not know what the BULL is.

Now back to my regular blog:

I awoke this morning at 7:15am to a 3, with a little back pain; took my am pills and didn't put out my flag, because we were having a nasty thunder storm. I am not going to a weekly publishing of my blog because there is just too much going on, but I don't know if I will publish daily. It was pretty lazy day yesterday and that's why I awoke a little better today. I did get to lunch with Joe Esmonde after B.T. Tuesday and he gave me the phone number of a union contractor (3 D Electric) that also installs solar under the State and Federal Plans so apparently the guy I have been talking to lied to me. 3 D did come by this afternoon and checked the house out and is sending me an email with their proposal and as of right now Judi and I are divided on it. This is worth repeating, Mary Nolan has put her hat in the ring for the Amanda Fritz position on the City Council and based on my experience with her Mary is another candidate that deserves our support. I did get some of the stuff uncle Dan was looking for, for his book, and he was very happy with what he has received so far. I am waiting right now for President Obama's speech to the nation in 3 minutes over why the Republicans cannot take yes for an answer on the Deficit so Lord knows when this will be published, and I probably will not be able set the link's. I probably will not publish tomorrow as I am going to try to make that rally at 6am tomorrow in Longview, Washington and against those raiding SOB's from the operating engineers local 701 and in support of the I.L.W.U.; the right union to represent the workers at that grain terminal. I did get my U.A. Journal and they had an article in it about a family with over 170 years of UA membership. Very impressive, but our family will be sending over 2 centuries of UA membership, just to the Convention.

I will put the prayer to St. Jude in here again for good friend and brother Portland City commissioner Randy Leonard, the Jan Brasee family, and the Bill Goetsch family and all our 290 brothers and sisters that have come before us and built Our 290 into the organization I am so proud to have been a member of, for almost 40 years.

At the 11th Hour, on the 11th Day, of the 11th Month a cease fire was signed to end the war to end all wars in 1918. How's that worked out so far?

AOH REPORT:

Not much new to report on the “Unite Ireland” issue, but I will report that cousin Bob has a new daughter and I'm sure brother Tom M. must be pleased with her name; and cousin Dan is writing a book on the Monahan and Mehren's families and I know, new great Aunt Bobbie is elated also, and the next time I see brother Tom I will SCHOCK HIM; I'm sure. I am looking forward to our International Convention to see if our Assistant to the U.A General President, a U.A. brother by the name of Mark McManus is in any way related to Father Sean? I still haven't got the names down for that 15 year AOH picture yet. The Portland AOH face book page is up and does look good; so now others can find out we exist and I made many friend suggestions and I do hope they can post the 15year anniversary picture, WITH NAMES. We will be taking the summer off and not meeting again until September which, it appears; I will have to miss as it is my Union Meeting night, but they will have a special guest that I would love to meet, and based on my July and August it looks like I won't be able to make a meeting until October.

I still think we need a few OREGONIANS on Father McManus's “Congressional Friends” list. We must never forget the Ballymurphy Massacre of 1971, (40 years searching for justice). We need to realize along with a number of Irish Catholic's, including a priest that were assassinated that day there were also a number of Northern Irish Protestants. This battle for justice that is being waged here in the U.S.A. by father McManus is also being waged in Belfast Northern Ireland by a heroic Belfast protestant named Raymond McCord Sr., whose son was also assassinated. I have received Father McManus's book, but AOH President Bill want's to save passages for the September meeting and that works for me, I have read even more of it and I am beginning to understand the commissioner Fritz Animosity. I did send Father McManus a check to join his efforts and he sent me a thank you and I am now a Congressional friend of Father McManus.

SPORTS:

I did see that the Portland Timbers are selling individual tickets, and maybe we (AOH) can get an “Irish Appreciation Night fundraiser at Jeld Wen field? They are at very reasonable prices.

I seems like the weather still hasn't made up it's mind on whether summer is here and I hope to have some golf, and picketing weather.

My baseball reports will be limited to, the Mariners, (a big slide going on, OUCH!) of the AL W, the Orioles, of the AL East; and it IS next year for the Cubs.

The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. And based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs at least for the next 2 years.

LOCAL UNION REPORT:

THE 290 WEBSITE IS REALLY HEATING UP POLITICALLY. I MISSED THE PICNIC DOWN SOUTH YESTERDAY, BUT IT DID SOUND LIKE A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL.

I DID TAKE THE “RAT PATROL” BUTTONS TO THE MEETING THIS MONTH, BUT I DID GET AN E-MAIL FROM JOHN AND HE SAID HE WANTED TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE CONVENTION TO START THE VOLUNTEER ORGANIZING COMMITEES.

I guess I should post this on the “our 290” site.

Al Schropshire contacted me and asked to put my endorsement for Business Manager on his election web page, I told him I would be honored and he gave me one of his fliers at the meeting; WELL DONE. I am more convinced than ever he is the right person for the job. His statement to me that he was running for the membership, not running AGAINST LOU, showed me a lot of class.

I did get my first “election” flier from the “Hite Alliance”, and while I haven't officially joined, I do like the team he has put together.

Thanks again to all my Sisters and Brothers for electing me again to attend this year’s International Convention, and thanks for your generous support of The Oregon Military Support Network. I am still committed to taking our concerns regarding Harder Mechanical use of “Craig’s List” and other scams to recruit workers, I believe it is in direct violation of their Local and National agreements.

The Local has started a M.A.P. Fundraiser for positions in the BULL, like we did last year; and the website link is fixed. I need to remember to take my 20 year BULL anniversary book to the next union meeting, as Dave Stahley said the are many who do not know what the BULL is.

Now back to my regular blog:

I awoke this morning at 8am to a 3 took my am pills and put out my flag. I am not going to a weekly publishing of my blog because there is just too much going on, but I don't know if I will publish daily. I did go to lunch with nephew Daniel and introduced him to Gloriaz and we had a wonderful time but the keno god's were not so good to us, we teamed up on an 8 spot and we did not even beat the average but being it was Friday I still played my 9's and they bought me a few tickets. That's why I didn't get published yesterday. I do have to go and pick up my suit at the cleaners today but other than that it's going to be a lazy day. I did get to lunch with Joe Esmonde after B.T. Tuesday and he gave me the phone number of a union contractor (3 D Electric) that also installs solar under the State and Federal Plans so apparently the guy I have been talking to lied to me. 3 D is scheduled to come by on Monday, Thanks Joe. This is worth repeating, Mary Nolan has put her hat in the ring for the Amanda Fritz position on the City Council and based on my experience with her Mary is another candidate that deserves our support. If I get off my a$$ today I will try to get some of the stuff uncle Dan is looking for, for his book. I did get my U.A. Journal and they had an article in it about a family with over 170 years of UA membership. Very impressive, but our family will be sending over 2 centuries of UA membership, just to the Convention.

I will put the prayer to St. Jude in here again for good friend and brother Portland City commissioner Randy Leonard, the Jan Brasee family, and the Bill Goetsch family and all our 290 brothers and sisters that have come before us and built Our 290 into the organization I am so proud to have been a member of, for almost 40 years.

AOH REPORT:

Not much new to report on the “Unite Ireland” issue, but I will report that cousin Bob has a new daughter and I'm sure brother Tom M. must be pleased with her name; and cousin Dan is writing a book on the Monahan and Mehren's families and I know, new great Aunt Bobbie is elated also, and the next time I see brother Tom I will SCHOCK HIM; I'm sure. I am looking forward to our International Convention to see if our Assistant to the U.A General President, a U.A. brother by the name of Mark McManus is in any way related to Father Sean? I still haven't got the names down for that 15 year AOH picture yet. The Portland AOH face book page is up and does look good; so now others can find out we exist and I made many friend suggestions and I do hope they can post the 15year anniversary picture, WITH NAMES. We will be taking the summer off and not meeting again until September which, it appears; I will have to miss as it is my Union Meeting night, but they will have a special guest that I would love to meet, and based on my July and August it looks like I won't be able to make a meeting until October.

I still think we need a few OREGONIANS on Father McManus's “Congressional Friends” list. We must never forget the Ballymurphy Massacre of 1971, (40 years searching for justice). We need to realize along with a number of Irish Catholic's, including a priest that were assassinated that day there were also a number of Northern Irish Protestants. This battle for justice that is being waged here in the U.S.A. by father McManus is also being waged in Belfast Northern Ireland by a heroic Belfast protestant named Raymond McCord Sr., whose son was also assassinated. I have received Father McManus's book, but AOH President Bill want's to save passages for the September meeting and that works for me, I have read even more of it and I am beginning to understand the commissioner Fritz Animosity. I did send Father McManus a check to join his efforts and he sent me a thank you and I am now a Congressional friend of Father McManus.

SPORTS:

I did see that the Portland Timbers are selling individual tickets, and maybe we (AOH) can get an “Irish Appreciation Night fundraiser at Jeld Wen field? They are at very reasonable prices.
