PERSONAL:



If you have missed me because it's been months since I last reported. If you have been worried about my health, not to worry; I've just been busy, lazy and computer illiterate, but my lovely wife Judi has fixed that. My health has been OK, and I am looking forward to 2014, although 2013 will be a hard year to top.

POLITICAL:

I am still watching C-Span and the B.S. going on in D.C.. Congress's inability to think of anyone but themselves absolutely infuriates me. The R's seem to have forgot who won the last Presidential election and the “Paul Ryan” budget is stillgetting entirely too much consideration.

BELIEF'S:

MY COOL IRISH SAYINGS ARE REPETITIVE, AGAIN.

May the roof above us, never fall in; and may the friends gathered below it never fall out.

If we keep buying imports, where will our children work ?

UNION REPORT:



I haven't made the Union Meeting in a few months but this month I shall try extra hard.



I am not picketing the bank's anymore as we finally got our refinance done, but I still think many of those “Wall Street” bankers need to go to jail.






SPORTS:



It is now Basketball season, and the “BEST” team in the west still doesn’t get any respect. Of all those announcer's, the only thing bigger than his belly, is his mouth, yeah I'm talking about “the ROUND MOUND OF REBOUND; Charles Barkley.

The A.O.H. Meeting is the 14^th and I will make every attempt to make it, Judi and I received our d.n.a. Breakdown and I am officially 78% Irish; I sure hope the weather cooperates on the 14th.

I have been watching C-Span and the “sequester” B.S. going on in D.C., and the talking heads this morning! As one that depends on Social Security and such, the Congress's inability to think of anyone but themselves absolutely infuriates me. The R's seem to have forgot who won the election last fall and the “Paul Ryan” budget is getting entirely too much consideration. I am a proud Irish Catholic, but he apparently has NEVER read or said the “prayer for all needs” by Pope Clement, why do so many in Congress consider themselves “Christians” but never seem to practice any form of Christianity?

UNION REPORT:


I did make the Union Meeting Friday night, and lasted almost the whole way. :-)


I still have been, weather permitting, picketing the local B. of A. bank branch and still getting good responses.


I will combine a little politics’s with Union issues, because I have noticed some of my brother's appear to be against the President's Immigration proposal. I understand the trepidation of bringing more “immigrant”s, to fill the so called shortage of “skilled” workers but I also believe that getting the so-called “illegals” out of the shadow's, would break the “stranglehold” some employers have on their workforce; and make it easier to organize them.



SPORTS:


The Mariners, Felix Hernandez, is off to a great start and looks ready for another Cy Young season, in spite of his outing today.

Our annual M.S. Walk was a lot of fun even though our team was smaller, we did raise almost $3,000. My cousin Denise Hutzenbieler is walking in June for epilepsy, and I hope to join her team, but their web site is as hard to navigate as our M.S. Was. The Blog will be short, but I have to post; as it's been almost a month. 6 day's until Saint Patrick's Day. I haven't posted for two reasons, 1) I have been sort of busy and 2) I am basically lazy, but today I am going to the Hall to turn in my paperwork to change to the self funded dental plan and stop by to deliver my tax stuff to my accountant; as Judi has finally finished their questionnaire.

I awoke this morning at about 7:30am and awoke to a 2. I then took my am pills (8), at 8am. I took my B.P. At 8;45am and it was 170/89/72 I realize I haven't posted in a long time and believe it or not I have received a number of e mails showing concern on why I haven't posted and why I Un-friended Gerry Bruce on face book, but I was just doing what he asked of me, but he is still my friend. I have been trying to learn how to use my new cell phone and that has been a challenge. I will attempt to post this morning as I want to catch up on some Birthday's I've missed and try to get to work on my new web site “WALLY'S LIST” today, so I should be short.




POLITICAL:



It still appears that WALL STREET is VERY concerned with the election results.

I awoke this morning at about 6am and awoke to a 2. I then took my am pills (11), at 6:35am, then laid back down until about 9am and then took my energy shot. I took B.P. at 9:15am and it was 147/83/67. I realize I haven't posted in a long time and believe it or not I have received a number of e mails showing concern on why I haven't posted and why I Un-friended Gerry Bruce on face book, but I was just doing what he asked of me, but he is still my friend; so I will attempt to post this morning as I want to watch some Football today, so I should be short.

I awoke this morning at about 6am and awoke to a 2. I then took my am pills (10), no Baclofen; at 6:35am, then laid back down until about 8am and then took my energy shot at about 8:15am. I took B.P. at 8:45am and it was 143/90/65. I realize I haven't posted in a long time and believe it or not I have received a number of e mails showing concern on why I haven't posted but I will attempt to post this morning as I want to report on the election results today, so I should be short. I reordered my Baclofen at least three times and I am wondering if they got it right?

Not all the results are in but to interesting developments from the election are A) PRESIDENT OBAMA WON HIS SECOND TURN IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND 2) THE REPUBLICANS VOTER SUPPRESSION DIDN'T WORK AND 3) CLACKAMAS COUNTY CLERK, SHERRI HALL WAS CAUGHT CHEATING IN HER ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT.

PERSONAL:


I awoke this morning at about 7am and awoke to a 2+. I then took my am pills (11) at 7:45am, then took my energy shot at about 9am. I took B.P. at 9:15am and it was 166/94/65. I realize I haven't posted in a long time and believe it or not I have received a number of e mails showing concern on why I haven't posted but I will attempt to post this morning as I want to catch the talking heads today. I missed a lot to post so I have lots of catching up to do. One of the important things missed posting was the 20th anniversary since we lost Dad and my reports on MY interpretations of the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates. I still haven't taken my quilt to the laundry yet either. I hope to post this morning and it WILL be a short one.





POLITICAL:


GET YOUR BALLOT'S IN !!


I support Mary Nolan over Amanda Fritz for the Portland City Council for a few reasons. A) I am a construction worker and Commissioer Fritz is attempting to stop the “coal exports” which would mean MANY jobs, construction and Shipyards and a lot of her constituents work in the yards, both the shipyards and the train yards. B) I am Irish Catholic and she is English, with a relative in the English parliament, and I think most know what the English have done to keep Ireland from becoming the free country it should be.


I did get one of my Obama Biden sign up, so far no one has messed with it, no tomatoes or anything. But I still haven't got my Clackamas County signs.


I will say I did get the recommendations from the local, and while I did follow most suggestions I did not follow all of them and I did get the Oregon Family Council recommendations from church, and it really appeared the questions and ratings were all done by republicans, and I did tell my pastor that they definitely did conflict with my beliefs.


We have only two days before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear there is a real coordinated campaign this year.

PERSONAL:



I awoke this morning at about 5am and awoke to a 2+. I then took my am pills (11) at 5:30am, then napped until about about 8am and took my NEW five hour energy at 8:10am. I took B.P. at 8:45am and it was 165/83/74. I realize I haven't posted in a week and believe it or not I have received a number of e mails showing concern on why I haven't posted but I will attempt to post this morning as I have a little running to do today, I am going to take my quilt to the laundry today and Judi and I are planning on going to a movie this evening and I still have those MANY changes. I have added Senator John Tester of Montana, and Senator Al Franken of Minnesota. I have made these changes for two very important reasons. Senator Tester, I believe supports the export of the abundance of coal Montana has for export, which could create thousands of new jobs in his home state as well as Oregon. Senator Al Franken because I believe he supports the efforts to expand and export potentially large natural gas from his state of Minnesota, that should create good paying (with healthcare) jobs from Minnesota even to Oregon; maybe. Also, while watching C-span one day and he was acting President of the Senate, and senator Boner stood up for his five minute B.S. speech that is a regular occurrence, but you must start by saying “without objection”, and there generally is no one in the chamber, he had the GUTS to say, “I OBJECT” !

I spoke with sister Danni yesterday and she was wondering if I was gong to the “rally” for Senator Maria Cantwell today in Vancouver, I think Washington Governor candidate Inslee will be there also, Danni made me so proud, because she called just after working a shift at the Clark County Democrats phone bank. SENATOR WYDEN, WE STILL NEED THOSE GOOD UNION JOBS ON THE PIPELINE AND COAL TERMINALS ! AND THE PORTLAND CITY COUNCIL SHOULD SURE STOP TRYING TO SLOW EVERYTHING DOWN, MANY OF THOSE GOOD JOBS WOULD ACTUALLY GO TO MEN AND WOMEN IN NORTH PORTLAND, AMANDA !


In the last Presidential Debate, I thought the President kicked but :-). today’s unemployment rate should be lower again, just for the number of “fact checkers” hired. After all the lies that have come out of both Ryan and Romoney ! :-)


We have much to do before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear there is a real coordinated campaign this year, and from what everyone is saying, we better. THANK YOU ASHLEY.

PERSONAL:


I awoke this morning at about 6:30am and awoke to a 2+. Then took my am pills (11) at 7:15am. I then napped until about about 9:30am and took my five hour energy at 9:45am. I took B.P. At 10:15am and it was 174/84/66. I will attempt to post this morning and will have many changes, including the idea that I will be going to posting just weekly. I have my appointment with my neurologist this afternoon, and I have much to discuss especially about my “screwy dream” pills.

You will notice I have changes in my hero list. I have added senator John Tester of Montana, and Senator Al Franken of Minnesota. I have made these changes for two very important reasons. Senator Tester, I believe supports the export of the abundance of coal Montana has for export, which could create thousands of new jobs in his home state as well as Oregon. Senator Al Franken because I believe he supports the efforts to expand and export potentially large natural gas from his state of Minnesota, that should create good paying (with healthcare) jobs from Minnesota even to Oregon; maybe. Also, while watching C-span one day and he was acting President of the Senate, and senator Boner stood up for his five minute B.S. speech that is a regular occurrence, but you must start by saying “without objection”, and there generally is no one in the chamber, he had the GUTS to say, “I OBJECT” !

PERSONAL:



I awoke this morning at about 7:30am and awoke to a 2+. Then took my am pills (12) at 8am. I took B.P. at 9am and it was 138/82/56. I didn't post yesterday as I was very busy, even though I did not make Building Trades, I did make it to the Farmhouse for brunch. I will attempt to post this morning as all I have to do today is fix the cap on my cane and the door to the garage. I have my appointment with my neurologist tomorrow afternoon, and their supposed to be sending me my “screwy dream” pills; but I can't be sure they got the message? I will keep the reasoning for some of my political support in the political support section and a new Irish toast. I will add a new prayer in my Philosophy section that might better be in the Political section.


I am still working on correcting mistakes, AND NOT ALL OF THESE ARE MINE YOU KNOW!


I still hope to get a new I pad and I did get by Fred Meyer and they had them on sale for $399.00, but Judi thinks waiting until “Black Friday” I might even get a better deal.

At 9:45am and it was 158/82/63. We did go to dinner with Mike and Mary last night, I didn't get over to the Dem H.Q. and get some lawn signs but I did call and they will deliver some this week. POLITICAL:



I support Mary Nolan over Amanda Fritz for the Portland City Council for a few reasons. A) I am a construction worker and she is attempting to stop the “coal exports” which would mean MANY jobs, construction and Shipyards and a lot of her constituents work in the yards, both the shipyards and the train yards. B) I am Irish Catholic and she is English, with a relative in the English parliament, and I think most know what the English have done to keep Ireland from becoming the free country it should be.


I did get one of my Obama Biden signs up, so far no one has messed with it, no tomatoes or anything. I hope to get my Clackamas County signs sometime before Wednesday.


CONGRATULATIONS CHARLIE HALES ON YOUR LOCAL 290, AND IBEW 48 ENDORSEMENTS. I missed the first debate but I think ther is another one tonight ?


SENATOR WYDEN, WE STILL NEED THOSE GOOD UNION JOBS ON THE PIPELINE AND COAL TERMINALS ! AND THE PORTLAND CITY COUNCIL COULD SURE STOP TRYING TO SLOW EVERYTHING DOWN, MANY OF THOSE GOOD JOBS WOULD ACTUALLY GO TO MEN AND WOMEN IN NORTH PORTLAND AMANDA ! I had a good conversation with Barbara Smith Warner and she told me Senator Wyden would be in town in October and maybe we can get him out to the hall, the PAC meeting is on October 15th 6pm.


I must also say we have much to do before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear we will have a real coordinated campaign this year, and from what everyone is saying, we better. THANK YOU ASHLEY.

Cousin Daniel's “Monster Bash” is going to be held at U.A. Local 290 on October 27th at 6pm benefiting the Oregon National Guard, and they are still looking for donations, thank you Ed Ellis from the BULL SESSION for you generous donation, and you too Dr. Finley.


And brother Glen Schuck and the Oregon Military Support Network (O.M.S.N.) spaghetti feed fundraiser will be held November 17th 6pm, $8.00, at Grace Pointe Church, Helm Hall, 10750 Se 42nd ave. in Milwaukie; and they are also looking for donations, contact oregonmilitarysupportnetwork.org


The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, The President and our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. and based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs and picking Paul Ryan means they are locked and loaded.


The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program, and you can make a donation at the U.A. Credit Union, and those “Import” bumper stickers seem to be helping.
