PERSONAL:
I slept in this morning until 7am and after 9 hours of sleep I awoke to a 3. I checked the south deck and it was 24 degrees. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one, and put out my flag. I did not check the west deck, but after checking yesterday it appeared the birds finally did eat the new birdseed I placed out there. I did plan on catching cousin Jim at Mass, and breakfast this morning, but I text and called him and canceled because of the below freezing temperatures. I did text brother Mike yesterday to see how the negotiations were going and it appeared that after a few hours they had not made much progress, but they did schedule 2 more sessions, which I consider a good sign. I did get signed up for picket duty, if needed, before I left the Union meeting Friday and although I hope it doesn't come to that, I am ready; if I get the call I would REALLY like to picket the Kaiser projects for a couple reasons. SAVE THE DATE, MARCH 7TH FOR A WORKER RALLY AT THE CAPITAL IN SALEM. I don't think it will quite the Madison Wisconsin one, but one never knows?
I did speak to Uncle Hank after the AOH meeting Tuesday and he is home and sounded good, but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers. I did add a new section; “AOH” to combine the various Irish statements and thoughts in a single section.
I am still looking forward to the meeting with PCC Tuesday and while I am looking forward to it, it will be a long day, Breakfast with my Congressman, followed by the CPBT E-board and then followed by the PCC meeting. The news showed the President on his visit to Intel and he discussed their investment here and the need for investment in training and education. Also, don't forget the life celebration of brother Gary Neibert on Sunday the 27th at 1pm at the hall and I hope to make it. I will now make another pitch for support for my election to our Internationals National Convention. I do want to keep my record intact of making every National Convention I have been eligible for since I joined the United Association. And please don't forget to register at the M.S. KAISER AND M.S. REPORT:

This is also my attempt to keep track of my experiences with Kaiser Permanente and my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the Ampyra and the 4.5mg LDN, I think I'm noticeably better. My BP is 139/80/62 at 9:45am today. After I got an “explanation of benefits” this is not a bill but in the billed amount was $84.10 ( exactly the LDN amount) in the next column was the allowed amount of $84.10, the member responsibility was 0.00, Kaiser paid 0.00; if the member responsibility was 0.00 WHY DID IT COST ME $84.10?? It sounds like the trust attorney is trying to get to the bottom of it. I did clean a little off of my “nest” here on my Lazyboy and I have a full briefcase just of my Kaiser stuff. I will remind everyone that I WILL be taking action with Kaiser Member services, if and when I need to.
POLITICAL:
I did receive a letter of request from Senator John Kerry for a donation to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and if you take action before March 31st your donation will be matched. I have an envelope and while I can't do too much I will do something. (you can online at www.dscc.org/vision (remember CORPORATIONS ARE NOW CONSIDERED PEOPLE) and we have 2 friends; right here in river city; that can be helped by this Committee, Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WASHINTON) and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OREGON). Don't let these seats become “Walmart seats”.
Good friend Bob Shiprack is up for an appointment to Metro and he would make a GREAT counselor. I hate to report now that I watched the House of Representatives vote to not allow the IRS to spend any money on the new health care bill. “I GOT MINE”
Another issue that concerns me with this NEW congress is the “SPENDING CUTS” they are considering, and it seems at the TOP of the list is “entitlement” spending. One of the talking heads shows said entitlement spending (social security, Medicare?) makes up for 84% of federal spending, does that mean that the D.O.D. Budget with 2+ wars, and interest on the current National Debt only accounts for 16%. I do think they may have it backwards. I have a question for my republican friends; When I put money in the bank and then draw it out, do YOU consider that an entitlement? HMMMN??

AOH REPORT:
I received my latest AOH NEWSPAPER and I want to congratulate the Anaconda, Montana AOH Division 1 on their 125th anniversary, the oldest chapter West of the Mississippi I believe, and point out that the Montana State President, Tom Pahut, is my cousin and the Division 1 brothers carrying the AOH banner on the first page of my blog are direct decedents of my Grandfather, also pictured on the first page “John L. Monahan”. And I did tell cousin Jim he should have been there and that it was the AOH that Built St. Francis Church in SE Portland. (interesting factoid; That was the church that my #2 W.O.W. Woman attended and was married in; Dianna PAULEY McCoy.)
I will also report again that Uncle Hank is still recuperating at home.
It appears the Mayor will be doing a proclamation instead of the AOH resolution and I hope to be able to make that Council meeting.
I also received a real nice package from the Portland Timbers trying to sell a few more season tickets for their 2011 MLS season and if there is anyone out there that would like to share a set with me, I am sure we have AOH brothers that are big Soccer fans.
SPORTS:
I don't think I will even watch the NBA All Star game today. But I am sure that the week off should really help their banged up Blazers and when everyone starts playing after the All Star break the league had better beware! I did see where the Oregon M.S. Chapter is putting together a fund raiser game with the Blazers.
I sure hope baseball pre-season gets here soon.
And believe it or not; I am a soccer fan and looking forward to the Timbers Debut. I did watch the Premier league match between Manchester United and Manchester City and the goal made by that Manchester United Irishman (#10), I thought, was as good as anything Pele did.

The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. It is very disappointing that it was not lame duck accomplishment, especially in light of the ongoing protests in Wisconsin, and the mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf. I do think that both Senator Robert Byrd and Paul Wellstone are rolling over in their graves. And based on what I have been hearing the Republican's have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs at least for the next 2 years.

ARE YOU READY TO STRIKE ?
PERSONAL:
I slept in this morning until 10am after 10 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it nippy but clear. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one. I did check the west deck and it appeared the birds do care so much for the new birdseed I place out there 2 days ago, but there was one location that was cleaned out, but the other 4 appeared not touched. I also talked to sister Danni and she has a interview for a job Monday, so please add her to your prayers also. I did make the Union meeting last night but didn't last the whole meeting. On my trip to the Hall there was a little snow mixed into the rain. I did make dinner with brother Mike and cousin Jim and called Judi to keep me informed if it got white around the house to give me a call. After dinner (really poor service), and while it was cold, the rain had just turned to a drizzle by the time I got to the hall and put together my scooter. The meeting started with the appearance of the Widow and daughter of a young (44 years old) member that was killed in an accident just before Christmas and they wanted to come to the meeting to say thanks personally for the attention and help given to him, our brother. I did want to make a few comments under good and welfare, but brother Buddy pretty much dominated the beginning of the meeting. I did get signed up for picket duty, if needed, before I left which was another of the main reasons I wanted to make the meeting. The negotiation committee was meeting with the Employers this morning and it should have been quite an interesting meeting. SAVE THE DATE, MARCH 7TH FOR A WORKER RALLY AT THE CAPITAL IN SALEM. I don't think it will quite be Madison Wisconsin, but one never knows?

I watched the Trailblazers beat Detroit to complete a sweep of their road trip and while LaMarcus was snubbed on the All Star team, He was voted NBA player of the week, and definitely outshines that Detroit all star. The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. It is very disappointing that it was not lame duck accomplishment, especially in light of the ongoing protests in Wisconsin, and the mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf. I do think that both Senator Robert Byrd and Paul Wellstone are rolling over in their graves. And based on what I have been hearing the Republican's have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs at least for the next 2 years.

I also heard from good friend and brother Joe McCarthy and he is going in for surgery on his rotator cuff, but as soon as he is well we will get out also.

Mike; My blog, is just over 5 pages, and under 2,800 words today, I think.
I slept in this morning until 10am after 10 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it nippy but clear. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one. I did check the west deck and it appeared the birds do care so much for the new birdseed I place out there 2 days ago, but there was one location that was cleaned out, but the other 4 appeared not touched. I also talked to sister Danni and she has a interview for a job Monday, so please add her to your prayers also. I did make the Union meeting last night but didn't last the whole meeting. On my trip to the Hall there was a little snow mixed into the rain. I did make dinner with brother Mike and cousin Jim and called Judi to keep me informed if it got white around the house to give me a call. After dinner (really poor service), and while it was cold, the rain had just turned to a drizzle by the time I got to the hall and put together my scooter. The meeting started with the appearance of the Widow and daughter of a young (44 years old) member that was killed in an accident just before Christmas and they wanted to come to the meeting to say thanks personally for the attention and help given to him, our brother. I did want to make a few comments under good and welfare, but brother Buddy pretty much dominated the beginning of the meeting. I did get signed up for picket duty, if needed, before I left which was another of the main reasons I wanted to make the meeting. The negotiation committee was meeting with the Employers this morning and it should have been quite an interesting meeting. SAVE THE DATE, MARCH 7TH FOR A WORKER RALLY AT THE CAPITAL IN SALEM. I don't think it will quite be Madison Wisconsin, but one never knows?
I did speak to Uncle Hank after the AOH meeting Tuesday and he is home and sounded good, but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers. I did add a new section; “AOH” to combine the various Irish statements and thoughts in a single section.
I am still looking forward to the meeting with PCC next Tuesday and while I am looking forward to it, it will be a long day, Breakfast with my Congressman, followed by the CPBT E-board and then followed by the PCC meeting. The news showed the President on his visit to Intel and he discussed their investment here and the need for investment in training and education. It's too bad his advance people didn't include a visit to the Local 290 training center or IBEW training centers; both 100% industry funded; WELCOME TO OREGON. . Also I did get the message that there will be a life celebration of brother Gary Neibert on Sunday the 27th at 1pm at the hall and I hope to make it. I will now make another pitch for support for my election to our Internationals National Convention; I did make a pitch at the retiree meeting yesterday and will tonight at the regular meeting. I do want to keep my record intact of making every National Convention I have been eligible for since I joined the United Association. I will wish Happy Birthday again to all whose Birthday is this month and maybe I won't forget so many. And please don't forget to register at the M.S. This is also my attempt to keep track of my experiences with Kaiser Permanente and my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the Ampyra and the 4.5mg LDN, I think I'm noticeably better. My BP is 124/78/56 at 12:45pm today. After I got an “explanation of benefits” this is not a bill but in the billed amount was $84.10 ( exactly the LDN amount) in the next column was the allowed amount of $84.10, the member responsibility was 0.00, Kaiser paid 0.00; if the member responsibility was 0.00 WHY DID IT COST ME $84.10?? It sounds like the trust attorney is trying to get to the bottom of it. I did clean a little off of my “nest” here on my Lazyboy and I have a full briefcase just of my Kaiser stuff. I will remind everyone that I WILL be taking action with Kaiser Member services, if and when I need to.
POLITICAL:
I did receive a letter of request from Senator John Kerry for a donation to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and if you take action before March 31st your donation will be matched. I have an envelope and while I can't do too much I will do something. (you can online at www.dscc.org/vision (remember CORPORATIONS ARE NOW CONSIDERED PEOPLE) and we have 2 friends; right here in river city; that can be helped by this Committee, Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WASHINTON) and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OREGON). I hate to report now that I watched the House of Representatives vote to not allow the IRS to spend any money on the new health care bill. “I GOT MINE”
Another issue that concerns me with this NEW congress is the “SPENDING CUTS” they are considering, and it seems at the TOP of the list is “entitlement” spending. One of the talking heads shows said entitlement spending (social security, Medicare?) makes up for 84% of federal spending, does that mean that the D.O.D. Budget with 2+ wars, and interest on the current National Debt only accounts for 16%. I do think they may have it backwards. I have a question for my republican friends; When I put money in the bank and then draw it out, do YOU consider that an entitlement? HMMMN??

AOH REPORT:
I received my latest AOH NEWSPAPER and I want to congratulate the Anaconda, Montana AOH Division 1 on their 125th anniversary and point out that the Montana State President, Tom Pahut, is my cousin and the Division 1 brothers carrying the AOH banner on the first page of my blog are direct decedents of my Grandfather, also pictured on the first page “John L. Monahan”. And I did tell cousin Jim he should have been there and that it was the AOH that Built St. Francis Church in SE Portland. (interesting factoid; That was the church that my #2 W.O.W. Woman attended and was married in; Dianna PAULEY McCoy.)
I will also report again that Uncle Hank is recuperating at home.
It appears the Mayor will be doing a proclamation instead of the AOH resolution and I hope to be able to make that Council meeting.
I also received a real nice package from the Portland Timbers trying to sell a few more season tickets for their 2011 MLS season and if there is anyone out there that would like to share a set with me, I know we have brothers that are big Soccer fans.

I watched the Trailblazers beat Detroit to complete a sweep of their road trip and while LaMarcus was snubbed on the All Star team, He was voted NBA player of the week, and definitely outshines that Detroit all star. REPUBLICANS PROVE TODAY THEIR MANTRA........I GOT MINE !!
PERSONAL:
I awoke this morning at 8:15am after 9 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it chilly but clear. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one and put out my flag. I did check the west deck and it appeared the birds did not take a liking to the new birdseed I place out there last night as it appeared it was not touched. I did make the AOH meeting and swearing in Tuesday night night and had good enough karma that I got a parking space right out the front door and PARRALEL PARKED TO GET INTO IT. Holmie made it and his brother was there also. I did speak to Uncle Hank and he is home and sounded good, but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers, and I also asked for my brothers to say a prayer for him also. I did talk with my other AOH brother, who happened to graduate from Carroll College, and was a student of Hank's and did say Hank was the best Professor he, and his wife had, and basically was a driving force for them to become teachers. When I checked my file for my latest blog post the 2-17-11 was not there, and I guess I didn't save it so I won't know, for sure if I posted yesterday but I sure thought I did. While I will still try to shorten my blog I won't know for sure until I get to posting today's blog.

One of the shows said entitlement spending (social security, Medicare?) makes up for 84% of federal spending, does that mean that the D.O.D. Budget with 2+ wars, and interest on the current National Debt only accounts for 16%. I do think they may have it backwards. I have a question for my republican friends; When I put money in the bank and then draw it out, do YOU consider that an entitlement? HMMMN??

AOH REPORT:
I received my latest AOH NEWSPAPER and I want to congratulate the Anaconda, Montana AOH Division 1 on their 125th anniversary and point out that the Montana State President, Tom Pahut, is my cousin and the Division 1 brothers carrying the AOH banner on the first page of my blog are direct decedents of my Grandfather, also pictured on the first page “John L. Monahan”.
I will also report again that Uncle Hank is recuperating at home.
It appears the Mayor will be doing a proclamation instead of the AOH resolution and I hope to be able to make that Council meeting.
I also received a real nice package from the Portland Timbers trying to sell a few more season tickets for their 2011 MLS season and if there is anyone out there that would like to share a set with me.
SPORTS:
I watched the Trailblazers beat Detroit to complete a sweep of their road trip and while LaMarcus was snubbed on the All Star team, He was voted NBA player of the week, and definitely outshines that Detroit all star. I am sure that the week off should really help their banged up players and when everyone starts playing after the All Star break the league had better beware! I did see where the Oregon M.S. Chapter is putting together a fund raiser game with the Blazers.
I sure hope baseball pre-season gets here soon.

The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. It is very disappointing that it was not lame duck accomplishment, especially in light of the ongoing protests in Wisconsin, and the mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf. I do think that both Senator Robert Byrd and Paul Wellstone are rolling over in their graves. And based on what I have been hearing the Republican's have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs at least for the next 2 years.

Mike; My blog, is just over 5 pages, and under 2,600 words today, I think.
I awoke this morning at 8:15am after 9 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it chilly but clear. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one and put out my flag. I did check the west deck and it appeared the birds did not take a liking to the new birdseed I place out there last night as it appeared it was not touched. I did make the AOH meeting and swearing in Tuesday night night and had good enough karma that I got a parking space right out the front door and PARRALEL PARKED TO GET INTO IT. Holmie made it and his brother was there also. I did speak to Uncle Hank and he is home and sounded good, but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers, and I also asked for my brothers to say a prayer for him also. I did talk with my other AOH brother, who happened to graduate from Carroll College, and was a student of Hank's and did say Hank was the best Professor he, and his wife had, and basically was a driving force for them to become teachers. When I checked my file for my latest blog post the 2-17-11 was not there, and I guess I didn't save it so I won't know, for sure if I posted yesterday but I sure thought I did. While I will still try to shorten my blog I won't know for sure until I get to posting today's blog.
I am also going to add a new section “AOH” to combine the various statements and thoughts in a single section.
I did talk to Paul Riggs and the meeting with PCC is next Tuesday the 22nd and I am looking forward to it although it will be a long day, Breakfast with my Congressman, followed by the CPBT E-board and then followed by the PCC meeting. The news is reporting on the fact that the President will be in town today for a visit to Intel and will be discussing their investment here and the need for investment in training. It's too bad his advance people didn't include a visit to the Local 290 training center or IBEW training centers; both 100% industry funded; WELCOME TO OREGON, Mr. President. Also I did get the message that there will be a life celebration of brother Gary Neibert on Sunday the 27th at 1pm at the hall and I hope to make it. I will now make another pitch for support for my election to our Internationals National Convention; I did make a pitch at the retiree meeting yesterday and will tonight at the regular meeting. I do want to keep my record intact of making every National Convention I have been eligible for since I joined the United Association. I will wish Happy Birthday again to all whose Birthday is this month and maybe I won't forget so many; Happy Birthday sister-in-law Peg, niece Brenda, Dad, brother Marty; and I would ask everyone to let me know who I may have missed. This is also my attempt to keep track of my experiences with Kaiser Permanente and my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the Ampyra and the 4.5mg LDN, I think I'm noticeably better. My BP is 125/75/60 at 10am today. After I got an “explanation of benefits” this is not a bill but in the billed amount was $84.10 ( exactly the LDN amount) in the next column was the allowed amount of $84.10, the member responsibility was 0.00, Kaiser paid 0.00; if the member responsibility was 0.00 WHY DID IT COST ME $84.10?? It sounds like the trust attorney is trying to get to the bottom of it. I did clean a little off of my “nest” here on my Lazyboy and I have a full briefcase just of my Kaiser stuff. I will remind everyone that I WILL be taking action with Kaiser Member services, if and when I need to.
POLITICAL:
I did receive a letter of request from Senator John Kerry for a donation to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and if you take action before March 31st your donation will be matched. I have an envelope and while I can't do too much I will do something. (you can donate online at www.dscc.org/vision (remember CORPORATIONS ARE NOW CONSIDERED PEOPLE) and we have 2 friends; right here in river city; that can be helped by this Committee, Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WASHINTON) and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OREGON). Don't let these seats become “Walmart seats”.

UNCLE HANK IS HOME AND DOING BETTER :-)
PERSONAL:
I awoke this morning at 8:30am after 9 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it we had about a 1/2/ inch of snow. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one and did not put out my flag because of the snow. I did not check the west deck as I'm out of birdseed, but it was a loud irritated winged animal that did finally awaken me this morning. I did make the AOH meeting and swearing in last night and had good enough karma that I got a parking space right out the front door and PARRALEL PARKED TO GET INTO IT. Holmie made it and his brother was there also. I now have have heard how Uncle Hank is but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers, and I also asked for my brothers last night to say a prayer for him also. I did talk with my other AOH brother, who happened to graduate from Carroll College, and was a student of Hank's and did say Hank was the best Professor he, and his wife had, and basically was a driving force for them to become teachers. I actually calle Uncle Hank's about an hour ago and his daughter answered and he was home, even though I interupted his lunch he sounded good and remembered that local brother and he is looking forward to the picture in the next issue of the AOH paper.

www.credo.com has a petition to tell the republicans in congress, who HAVE government health care, what the republicans like to call “Obamacare”; to give it up if they are so bent on taking it away from the 30+ million AMERICANS now covered under the new Health Care Law.
One issue that concerns me with this NEW congress is the “SPENDING CUTS” they are considering, and it seems at the TOP of the list is “entitlement” spending. One of the shows said entitlement spending (social security, Medicare?) makes up for 84% of federal spending, does that mean that the D.O.D. Budget with 2+ wars, and interest on the current National Debt only accounts for 16%. I do think they may have it backwards. I have a question for my republican friends; When I put money in the bank and then draw it out, do YOU consider that an entitlement? HMMMN??

I watched the Trailblazers beat Detroit to complete a sweep of their road trip and while LaMarcus was snubbed on the All Star team, He was voted NBA player of the week, and definitely outshines that other all star. But I did see where the Oregon M.S. Chapter is putting together a fund raiser game with the Blazers.
This year, to help celebrate MS Awareness Week, we’ve partnered with the Portland Trailblazers to offer special pricing, group seating and an invitation to come on the court after the game to shoot a free throw! This is for all National MS Society members, family and friends, so grab as many folks as you can and come make some noise about MS while we cheer on the home team.

The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. It is very disappointing that it was not lame duck accomplishment, especially in light of that mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf. I watched the commission on the B.P. Disaster and, from here, it looks like the beginning of a cover up, and based on what I have been hearing the Republican's have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs for the next 2 years.

Mike; My blog, is just over 5 pages, and under 2,300 words today, I think.
I awoke this morning at 8:30am after 9 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it we had about a 1/2/ inch of snow. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one and did not put out my flag because of the snow. I did not check the west deck as I'm out of birdseed, but it was a loud irritated winged animal that did finally awaken me this morning. I did make the AOH meeting and swearing in last night and had good enough karma that I got a parking space right out the front door and PARRALEL PARKED TO GET INTO IT. Holmie made it and his brother was there also. I now have have heard how Uncle Hank is but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers, and I also asked for my brothers last night to say a prayer for him also. I did talk with my other AOH brother, who happened to graduate from Carroll College, and was a student of Hank's and did say Hank was the best Professor he, and his wife had, and basically was a driving force for them to become teachers. I actually calle Uncle Hank's about an hour ago and his daughter answered and he was home, even though I interupted his lunch he sounded good and remembered that local brother and he is looking forward to the picture in the next issue of the AOH paper.
I did talk to Paul Riggs and the meeting with PCC is on for the 22nd and I am looking forward to it although it will be a long day, Breakfast with my Congressman, followed by the CPBT E-board and then followed by the PCC meeting. The news is reporting on the fact that the President will be in town Friday for a visit to Intel and will be discussing their investment here and the need for investment in training. It's too bad his advance people didn't include a visit to the Local 290 training center or IBEW training centers; both 100% industry funded; WELCOME TO OREGON. Also I did get the message that there will be a life celebration of brother Gary Neibert on Sunday the 27th at 1pm at the hall and I hope to make it. I am still trying to clear a lot off of my blog, as most of it is pretty repetitive anyway. I will now make another pitch for support for my election to our Internationals National Convention. I do want to keep my record intact of making every National Convention I have been eligible for since I joined the United Association. It appears the Mayor will be doing a proclamation instead of the AOH resolution and I hope to be able to make that Council meeting. I will wish Happy Birthday again to all whose Birthday is this month and maybe I won't forget so many; Happy Birthday sister-in-law Peg, niece Brenda, Dad, brother Marty; and I would ask everyone to let me know who I may have missed. And please don't forget to register at the M.S. This is also my attempt to keep track of my experiences with Kaiser Permanente and my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the Ampyra and the 4.5mg LDN, I think I'm noticeably better. My BP is 123/70/61 at 11:25am today. After I got an “explanation of benefits” this is not a bill but in the billed amount was $84.10 ( exactly the LDN amount) in the next column was the allowed amount of $84.10, the member responsibility was 0.00, Kaiser paid 0.00; if the member responsibility was 0.00 WHY DID IT COST ME $84.10?? It sounds like the trust attorney is trying to get to the bottom of it. I did clean a little off of my “nest” here on my Lazyboy and I have a full briefcase just of my Kaiser stuff. I will remind everyone that I WILL be taking action with Kaiser Member services, if and when I need to.

THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HAS BEEN BACK TO WORK FOR LESS THAN A MONTH AND THEY NOW NEED A 1 WEEK VACATION ?
PERSONAL:
I awoke this morning at 7:15am to a 3 after 9 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it was over 40 degrees, and no wind. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one and did not put out my flag because of the wind. I did not check the west deck as I'm out of birdseed and I will try toget some today. I did see Holmie at the meeting and he is going to the AOH meeting tonight and I hope to see both him and his brother there; he said his brother is a member of the first chapter in Pennsylvania, think. I did RSVP for tonights meeting and did hear back from President Bill and he said “wonderful”. I did talk to Paul Riggs this morning and the meeting with PCC is on for the 22nd and I am looking forward to it although it will be a long day, Breakfast with my Congressman, followed by the CPBT E-board and then followed by the PCC meeting. I still have not heard how Uncle Hank is but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers. One issue that concerns me with this NEW congress is the “SPENDING CUTS” they are considering, and it seems at the TOP of the list is “entitlement” spending. One of the shows said entitlement spending (social security, medicare?) makes up for 84% of federal spending, does that mean that the D.O.D. Budget with 2+ wars, and interest on the current National Debt only accounts for 16%. I have a question for my republican friends; When I put money in the bank and then draw it out, do YOU consider that an entitlement? HMMMN ?

I watched the Trailblazers beat Detroit to complete a sweep of their road trip and while LaMarcus was snubbed on the All Star team, He was voted NBA player of the week. But I did see where the Oregon M.S. Chapter is putting together a fund raiser game with the Blazers.
This year, to help celebrate MS Awareness Week, we’ve partnered with the Portland Trailblazers to offer special pricing, group seating and an invitation to come on the court after the game to shoot a free throw! This is for all National MS Society members, family and friends, so grab as many folks as you can and come make some noise about MS while we cheer on the home team.

The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. It is very disappointing that it was not lame duck accomplishment, especially in light of that mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf. I watched the commission on the B.P. Disaster and, from here, it looks like the beginning of a cover up, and based on what I have been hearing the Republican's have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs for the next 2 years.

I awoke this morning at 7:15am to a 3 after 9 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it was over 40 degrees, and no wind. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one and did not put out my flag because of the wind. I did not check the west deck as I'm out of birdseed and I will try toget some today. I did see Holmie at the meeting and he is going to the AOH meeting tonight and I hope to see both him and his brother there; he said his brother is a member of the first chapter in Pennsylvania, think. I did RSVP for tonights meeting and did hear back from President Bill and he said “wonderful”. I did talk to Paul Riggs this morning and the meeting with PCC is on for the 22nd and I am looking forward to it although it will be a long day, Breakfast with my Congressman, followed by the CPBT E-board and then followed by the PCC meeting. I still have not heard how Uncle Hank is but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers. I did get the message that there will be a life celebration of brother Gary Neibert on Sunday the 27th at 1pm at the hall and I hope to make it. I am still trying to clear a lot off of my blog, as most of it is pretty repetitive anyway. I will now make another pitch for support for my election to our Internationals National Convention and I did lobby hard at the meeting Sunday. I do want to keep my record intact of making every National Convention I have been eligible for since I joined the United Association. I did see Donna Hammond is also included in the PCC meeting. I also called Paul at the CPBT to apologize for not being able to make his meeting today. I don't know how reliable it is but I also heard President Obama will be visiting the Intel project this week, if so WELCOME TO OREGON. I did email all the City Council on the AOH resolution and asked to be told of when it might be taken up, and again, commissioner Fritz did not want to be bothered. I will wish Happy Birthday again to all whose Birthday is this month and maybe I won't forget so many; Happy Birthday sister-in-law Peg, niece Brenda, Dad, brother Marty; and I would ask everyone to let me know who I may have missed. And please don't forget to register at the M.S. This is also my attempt to keep track of my experiences with Kaiser Permanente and my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the Ampyra and the 4.5mg LDN, I think I'm noticeably better. My BP is 122/77/60 at 10:15am today. After I got an “explanation of benefits” this is not a bill but in the billed amount was $84.10 (exactly the LDN amount) in the next column was the allowed amount of $84.10, the member responsibility was 0.00, Kaiser paid 0.00; if the member responsibility was 0.00 WHY DID IT COST ME $84.10?? It sounds like the trust attorney is trying to get to the bottom of it. I did clean a little off of my “nest” here on my Lazyboy and I have a full briefcase just of my Kaiser stuff. I will remind everyone that I WILL be taking action with Kaiser Member services, if and when I need to.

I watched the Trailblazers beat Detroit to complete a sweep on their road trip and while LaMarcus was snubbed on the All Star team, He was voted NBA player of the week. But I did see where the Oregon M.S. Chapter is putting together a fund raiser game with the Blazers.
This year, to help celebrate MS Awareness Week, we’ve partnered with the Portland Trailblazers to offer special pricing, group seating and an invitation to come on the court after the game to shoot a free throw! This is for all National MS Society members, family and friends, so grab as many folks as you can and come make some noise about MS while we cheer on the home team.
Stay tuned to Facebook, or Twitter for details, and a chance on a possible Blazer Alumni meet and greet as well.
The order deadline to be seated in the MS Society section is TODAY, but tickets can still be purchased at MS Society special prices up until game day, and will still include an invite to shoot a free throw after the game.

The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. It is very disappointing that it was not lame duck accomplishment, especially in light of that mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf. I watched the commission on the B.P. Disaster and, from here, it looks like the beginning of a cover up, and based on what I have been hearing the Republican's have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs for the next 2 years.

I awoke this morning at 7:15am to a 3 after 9 hours of sleep to a 3 plus. I checked the south deck and it was over 40 degrees, and no wind. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one and did not put out my flag because of the wind. I did not check the west deck as I'm out of birdseed and I will try toget some today. I did see Holmie at the meeting and he is going to the AOH meeting tonight and I hope to see both him and his brother there; he said his brother is a member of the first chapter in Pennsylvania, think. I did RSVP for tonights meeting and did hear back from President Bill and he said “wonderful”. I did talk to Paul Riggs this morning and the meeting with PCC is on for the 22nd and I am looking forward to it although it will be a long day, Breakfast with my Congressman, followed by the CPBT E-board and then followed by the PCC meeting. I still have not heard how Uncle Hank is but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers. I did get the message that there will be a life celebration of brother Gary Neibert on Sunday the 27th at 1pm at the hall and I hope to make it. I am still trying to clear a lot off of my blog, as most of it is pretty repetitive anyway. I will now make another pitch for support for my election to our Internationals National Convention and I did lobby hard at the meeting Sunday. I do want to keep my record intact of making every National Convention I have been eligible for since I joined the United Association. I did see Donna Hammond is also included in the PCC meeting. I also called Paul at the CPBT to apologize for not being able to make his meeting today. I don't know how reliable it is but I also heard President Obama will be visiting the Intel project this week, if so WELCOME TO OREGON. I did email all the City Council on the AOH resolution and asked to be told of when it might be taken up, and again, commissioner Fritz did not want to be bothered. I will wish Happy Birthday again to all whose Birthday is this month and maybe I won't forget so many; Happy Birthday sister-in-law Peg, niece Brenda, Dad, brother Marty; and I would ask everyone to let me know who I may have missed. And please don't forget to register at the M.S. This is also my attempt to keep track of my experiences with Kaiser Permanente and my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the Ampyra and the 4.5mg LDN, I think I'm noticeably better. My BP is 122/77/60 at 10:15am today. After I got an “explanation of benefits” this is not a bill but in the billed amount was $84.10 (exactly the LDN amount) in the next column was the allowed amount of $84.10, the member responsibility was 0.00, Kaiser paid 0.00; if the member responsibility was 0.00 WHY DID IT COST ME $84.10?? It sounds like the trust attorney is trying to get to the bottom of it. I did clean a little off of my “nest” here on my Lazyboy and I have a full briefcase just of my Kaiser stuff. I will remind everyone that I WILL be taking action with Kaiser Member services, if and when I need to.

www.credo.com has a petition to tell the republicans in congress, who HAVE government health care, what the republicans like to call “Obamacare”; to give it up if they are so bent on taking it away from the 30+ million AMERICANS now covered under the new Health Care Law.
One issue that concerns me with this NEW congress is the “SPENDING CUTS” they are considering, and it seems at the TOP of the list is “entitlement” spending. One of the shows said entitlement spending (social security, medicare?) makes up for 84% of federal spending, does that mean that the D.O.D. Budget with 2+ wars, and interest on the current National Debt only accounts for 16%. I have a question for my republican friends; When I put money in the bank and then draw it out, do YOU consider that an entitlement? HMMMN ?

After 2037, it'll still be able to pay out 75% of scheduled benefits—and again, that's without any changes. The program started preparing for the Baby Boomers' retirement decades ago. Anyone who insists Social Security is broke probably wants to break it themselves.

IT'S SOMEONES BIRTHDAY TODAY !!
PERSONAL:

I did RSVP for the Tuesday meeting and did hear back from President Bill and he said “wonderful”. I still have not heard how Uncle Hank is but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers. I did get the message that there will be a life celebration of brother Gary Neibert on Sunday the 27th at 1pm at the hall and I hope to make it, and I was really surprised at how many brothers did not even know we lost him. I am still trying to clear a lot off of my blog, as most of it is pretty repetitive anyway. I did hear from Queen Donna who is recovering from a little foot surgery herself and we talked about that outreach program idea I had for the CPBT. I also had a 40 minute conversation with Paul at the CPBT about it also. I don't know how reliable it is but I also heard President Obama will be visiting the Intel project this week, if so WELCOME TO OREGON. I did email all the City Council on the AOH resolution and asked to be told of when it might be taken up, and again, commissioner Fritz did not want to be bothered. Our official swearing in will be at Kells Tomorrow night, I definitely will make it, Good Lord Willing and the creek don't rise. I will wish Happy Birthday to all whose Birthday is this month and maybe I won't forget so many; Happy Birthday sister-in-law Peg, niece Brenda, Dad, brother Marty; and I would ask everyone to let me know who I may have missed. The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. It is very disappointing that it was not lame duck accomplishment, especially in light of that mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf. I watched the commission on the B.P. Disaster and, from here, it looks like the beginning of a cover up, and based on what I have been hearing the Republican's have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs for the next 2 years.

I also talked to good friend Scott Gardner and he wants to get together for some golf. I also heard from good friend and brother Joe McCarthy and he is going in for surgery on his rotator cuff, but as soon as he is well we will get out also.

I awoke this morning at 7:15am to a 3 after 19 hours of sleep. I checked the south deck and it was over 40 degrees, and no wind. I took my am pills, including my stop smoking one and put out my flag. I did not check the west deck as I'm out of birdseed. I did see Holmie at the meeting and he is going to the AOH meeting Tuesday night and I hope to see both him and his brother there; he said his brother is a member of the first chapter in Pennsylvania, think. I did RSVP for the Tuesday meeting and did hear back from President Bill and he said “wonderful”. I still have not heard how Uncle Hank is but I would still ask all to include him in your prayers. I did get the message that there will be a life celebration of brother Gary Neibert on Sunday the 27th at 1pm at the hall and I hope to make it, and I was really surprised at how many brothers did not even know we lost him. I am still trying to clear a lot off of my blog, as most of it is pretty repetitive anyway. I will now make another pitch for support for my election to our Internationals National Convention and I did lobby hard at the meeting yesterday. I do want to keep my record intact of making every National Convention I have been eligible for since I joined the United Association. I did hear from Queen Donna who is recovering from a little foot surgery herself and we talked about that outreach program idea I had for the CPBT. I also had a 40 minute conversation with Paul at the CPBT about it also. I don't know how reliable it is but I also heard President Obama will be visiting the Intel project this week, if so WELCOME TO OREGON. I did email all the City Council on the AOH resolution and asked to be told of when it might be taken up, and again, commissioner Fritz did not want to be bothered. Our official swearing in will be at Kells Tomorrow night, I definitely will make it, Good Lord Willing and the creek don't rise. I will wish Happy Birthday to all whose Birthday is this month and maybe I won't forget so many; Happy Birthday sister-in-law Peg, niece Brenda, Dad, brother Marty; and I would ask everyone to let me know who I may have missed. And please don't forget to register at the M.S. Walk Oregon for “WALLY'S WALKERS”, THANK YOU NORTHWEST OREGON LABOR COUNCIL FOR YOUR VERY GENEROUS DONATION, and I sure hope Julie can convince Joe to walk. Judi did email brother Mike for the E-board meeting Wednesday night. I won't be able to make the meeting myself as I hope to make the Metro function.
Don't forget to say THANK YOU, to all those servicemen and women who have served or are serving. Christopher is back in Afghanistan and I understand nephew Rhyon is heading back there in May, but we did see him, and hope to again before he leaves. So a prayer a day for them from all my readers would sure make me feel better.
I will put the prayer to St. Jude in here again for 290 brothers Richard Hopkins (Hoppy), and Gary Neibert and the families of the Tucson shootings so please add them to your prayers also.

KAISER AND M.S. REPORT:

This is also my attempt to keep track of my experiences with Kaiser Permanente and my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the Ampyra and the 4.5mg LDN, I think I'm noticeably better. My BP is 125/73/64 today. After I got an “explanation of benefits” this is not a bill but in the billed amount was $84.10 ( exactly the LDN amount) in the next column was the allowed amount of $84.10, the member responsibility was 0.00, Kaiser paid 0.00; if the member responsibility was 0.00 WHY DID IT COST ME $84.10?? It sounds like the trust attorney is trying to get to the bottom of it. I did clean a little off of my “nest” here on my Lazyboy and I have a full briefcase just of my Kaiser stuff. I will remind everyone that I WILL be taking action with Kaiser Member services, if and when I need to.

www.credo.com has a petition to tell the republicans in congress, who HAVE government health care to give it up if they are so bent on taking it away from the 30+ million AMERICANS now covered under the new Health Care Law.
One issue that concerns me with this NEW congress is the “SPENDING CUTS” they are considering, and it seems at the TOP of the list is “entitlement” spending. One of the shows said entitlement spending (social security, medicare?) makes up for 84% of federal spending, does that mean that the D.O.D. Budget with 2+ wars, and interest on the current National Debt only accounts for 16%. I have a question for my republican friends; When I put money in the bank and then draw it out, do YOU consider that an entitlement? HMMMN !!

Anyone who insists Social Security is broke probably wants to break it themselves.

I just watched the Trailblazers beat Detroit yesterday and while LaMarcus was snubbed on the All Star team, He absolutely HAS to be NBA player of the week. But I did see where the Oregon M.S. Chapter is putting together a fund raiser game with them.
This year, to help celebrate MS Awareness Week, we’ve partnered with the Portland Trailblazers to offer special pricing, group seating and an invitation to come on the court after the game to shoot a free throw! This is for all National MS Society members, family and friends, so grab as many folks as you can and come make some noise about MS while we cheer on the home team.
