I awoke this morning at 7am and after 9 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 2+. I took my pill's at 7:15am. I should be early because I have very little new to report, I did awake to a 2+ with a little back pain. Brother Michael came over for dinner last night, as apparently, he drug up yesterday at Intel, but he did say he didn't think he would be off long. I will probably be pretty short today because the only real new news is it is that time of the year to begin saving up and requesting support for cousin Denise Hutzenbieler' up coming EPILEPSY Walk in Seattle, please check out my “community organizers and charities section”; ALL HELP APPRECIATED!! I also have to say that I will probably not make it to Kell's on Thursday for the 164th anniversary celebration of the arrival of “Ancestor Ann Monahan” as I will be going to Holy Thursday Mass in Milwaukie at 7pm, but I will raise one at a nearby pub at 6pm. I did “finish” my shadow box and I will try to get a picture of it before I take it to the hall. I did send email's to the CPBT, and the affiliates addresse I had to get updates on their 5/6 main bad contractor's before our V.O.C. meeting Monday night.
I will put the prayers I have been posting again right here up front, especially for sister Danni; and thank you all for Rhyon, Christopher and now cousin Amy.

Putting Americans to Work in American Forests
In 2009, Jeff fought hard for funding for jobs in Oregon's forests as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to put unemployed Oregonians to work thinning our overgrown, choked second-growth forests. However, the companies hired to do the work evaded federal law to import cheap foreign workers, advertising for the jobs far from where the work was being done, then declaring there were no eligible Americans to do the work.
When Jeff learned about this outrage, he demanded answers from the Department of Labor, and recently partnered with Congressman Peter Defazio to introduce a bill that will fill the holes in the H-2B visa program so incidents like this one never happen again. The bill will force companies to work with the state's employment department to ensure there really are no Americans available before visas are granted. No one can say with a straight face there were not Oregonians ready and willing to work in the forests in 2009 and 2010.

***WELL DONE, MARTHA SCHRADER, MY SIGN WILL GO UP THIS WEEKEND***

I awoke this morning at 6:45am and after 9 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 2+. I took my pill's at 7:15am. I should be early because I have very little new to report, I did awake to a 2+ with a little back pain. I did make both golf with brother Marty and nephew Mike, and the Martha Schrader phone bank and there was a really good turnout and, while I didn't realize it at the time; the phone bank was right next to the place we played simulated golf. I awoke to just a 2+ because I think I hurt my back a little at golf. I did “finish” my shadow box and I will try to get a picture of it before I take it to the hall. I am also going to try to get in touch with the CPBT to get updates on their 5/6 main bad contractor's before our V.O.C. meeting Monday night. The DOW yoyo continues as it is up over 60 point's. I did hear from Ed Ellis this morning about my participation in the BULL SESSION in September and I think we are all square.
Don't forget, Brother Don Getman and the annual M.D. Poker fundraiser; April 1st (2 day's now) up by the inn at the mountain. P.S. I still haven't heard from a soul :-(.

THE SUPREME COURT HEARD ARGUMENTS ON THE “CONSTITUTIONALITY” OF “OBAMA CARE”, AND AFTER LISTENING TO THE ARGUMENT'S, I AM STILL LEANING TO A 6-3 DECISION TO UPHOLD, so far at least.

Putting Americans to Work in American Forests
In 2009, Jeff fought hard for funding for jobs in Oregon's forests as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to put unemployed Oregonians to work thinning our overgrown, choked second-growth forests. However, the companies hired to do the work evaded federal law to import cheap foreign workers, advertising for the jobs far from where the work was being done, then declaring there were no eligible Americans to do the work.
When Jeff learned about this outrage, he demanded answers from the Department of Labor, and recently partnered with Congressman Peter Defazio to introduce a bill that will fill the holes in the H-2B visa program so incidents like this one never happen again. The bill will force companies to work with the state's employment department to ensure there really are no Americans available before visas are granted. No one can say with a straight face there were not Oregonians ready and willing to work in the forests in 2009 and 2010.

***MEHRENS-MONAHAN BLOG UPDATED TODAY***
PERSONAL & PROPAGANDA:
I awoke this morning at 7am and after 9 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 3. I took my pill's at 7:15am. I should be early because I slept in my new bed last night and I did awake to a 3 with no back pain. I will post early, but I do have a busy day today. I am going to try to make both golf with brother Marty and nephew Mike, and the Martha Schrader phone bank to night. I did “finish” my shadow box today. I should shorten up today's blog, hopefully, and I did post my “Mehrens-Monahan blog already. The DOW is down over 70 point's. I am still waiting to hear from Ed Ellis about my participation in the BULL SESSION in September.
Don't forget, Brother Don Getman and the annual M.D. Poker fundraiser; April 1st (3 day's now) up by the inn at the mountain. P.S. I still haven't heard from a soul :-(.

And based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs at least for the next 2 years.
The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program; and you can even make a donation through the U.A. Credit Union, and it appears we will be doing a “BULL SESSION” drawing at the Union meeting's to help raise $ for them.
UNION REPORT:
We still to remember Brother Jimmy Walters, Brother Bill Edens are recovering from vascular surgery and Brother Jim Zettlow who is fighting Mesothelioma, so please add them to your prayers for a speedy and successful recoveries.
I plan on making the V.O.C. Meeting Monday and the next PAC meeting, GLWATHCDR and thank you my sisters and brothers for your support of our O.M.S.N. Request.
It is the political season and I would encourage all you politico's to get a “Union Bug” on your printed material. I personally prefer Hollywood Impress, because they have always met my needs.

BIG ANNIVERSARY APRIL 5, ARE YOU READY ? I'll be celebrating at 6pm PDT at Kell's and I'm sure it will be celebrated in many cities, towns and States, Thank You Ann ( 8 day's now). I have received confirmation that it will be happening here, in Texas, Montana. Hawaii and maybe even Nevada.

***MY PREDICTION, SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS OBAMA CARE, 6-3***
PERSONAL & PROPAGANDA:
I awoke this morning at 8am and after 9 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 3. I took my pill's at 8:15am. I should be early because I slept in my new bed last night and I did awake to a 3 with no back pain. I am not sure when I will post but I don't have a busy day today. I am going to try to make both golf with brother Marty and nephew Mike, and the Martha Schrader phone bank to night. I will “finish” my shadow box today, but I need to get a a small bolt and nut also. I should shorten up today's blog, hopefully. The DOW is down almost 90 point's. I also should hear from Ed Ellis about my participation in the BULL SESSION in September.
Don't forget, Brother Don Getman and the annual M.D. Poker fundraiser; April 1st (5 day's now) up by the inn at the mountain. P.S. I still haven't heard from a soul :-(.
I will put the prayers I have been posting again right here up front, especially for sister Danni; and thank you all for Rhyon, Christopher and now cousin Amy.

Putting Americans to Work in American Forests
In 2009, Jeff fought hard for funding for jobs in Oregon's forests as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to put unemployed Oregonians to work thinning our overgrown, choked second-growth forests. However, the companies hired to do the work evaded federal law to import cheap foreign workers, advertising for the jobs far from where the work was being done, then declaring there were no eligible Americans to do the work.
When Jeff learned about this outrage, he demanded answers from the Department of Labor, and recently partnered with Congressman Peter Defazio to introduce a bill that will fill the holes in the H-2B visa program so incidents like this one never happen again. The bill will force companies to work with the state's employment department to ensure there really are no Americans available before visas are granted. No one can say with a straight face there were not Oregonians ready and willing to work in the forests in 2009 and 2010.

Putting Americans to Work in American Forests
In 2009, Jeff fought hard for funding for jobs in Oregon's forests as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to put unemployed Oregonians to work thinning our overgrown, choked second-growth forests. However, the companies hired to do the work evaded federal law to import cheap foreign workers, advertising for the jobs far from where the work was being done, then declaring there were no eligible Americans to do the work.
When Jeff learned about this outrage, he demanded answers from the Department of Labor, and recently partnered with Congressman Peter Defazio to introduce a bill that will fill the holes in the H-2B visa program so incidents like this one never happen again. The bill will force companies to work with the state's employment department to ensure there really are no Americans available before visas are granted. No one can say with a straight face there were not Oregonians ready and willing to work in the forests in 2009 and 2010.

I awoke this morning at 6am and after 9 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 2+. I took my pill's at 6:30am. I should be early because I slept in my new bed last night but I did awake to just a 2+ with a little back pain. I am not sure when I will post because I have a busy day today. I will be going to the C.P.B.T. Ebd this morning and seeing my accountant this afternoon. :-( Maybe today I can “finish” my shadow box today, all I need is a small bolt and nut I will also try to pick up today. I should shorten up today's blog, hopefully. The DOW is down about 10 point's. I also should call Ed Ellis about my participation in the BULL SESSION in September.

PERSONAL AND PROPAGANDA:

Maybe today I can “finish” my shadow box. I will shorten up today's blog, hopefully. The DOW is up 116+ point's, but so is gas and oil. I also should call Don and let him know, I may also not be able to make it.

The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program; and you can even make a donation through the U.A. Credit Union, and it appears we will be doing a “BULL SESSION” drawing at the Union meeting's to help raise $ for them.

We still to remember Brother Jimmy Walters and Brother Bill Edens are recovering from vascular sergery so, please add them to your prayers for a speedy and successful recoveries.

I awoke this morning at 7am and after 9 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 2+. I took my pill's at 7:30am. I should be early because I slept in my new bed last night but I did awake to just a 2+ with a little back pain. Judi, Heidi, Danni and Trina finally got back from the beach to celebrate Heidi's Birthday about 5:30pm after dropping Heidi off at the Rose Garden to meet brother Mike for the game and It was a good game (a win), Peg and Eric were there also but I watched and didn't see any of them. Maybe today I can “finish” my shadow box. I will shorten up today's blog, hopefully. The DOW is up 116+ point's, but so is gas and oil. I also should call Don and let him know, I may also not be able to make it.
Don't forget, Brother Don Getman and the annual M.D. Poker fundraiser; April 1st up by the inn at the mountain. P.S. I still haven't heard from a soul :-(.

Putting Americans to Work in American Forests
In 2009, Jeff fought hard for funding for jobs in Oregon's forests as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to put unemployed Oregonians to work thinning our overgrown, choked second-growth forests. However, the companies hired to do the work evaded federal law to import cheap foreign workers, advertising for the jobs far from where the work was being done, then declaring there were no eligible Americans to do the work.
When Jeff learned about this outrage, he demanded answers from the Department of Labor, and recently partnered with Congressman Peter Defazio to introduce a bill that will fill the holes in the H-2B visa program so incidents like this one never happen again. The bill will force companies to work with the state's employment department to ensure there really are no Americans available before visas are granted. No one can say with a straight face there were not Oregonians ready and willing to work in the forests in 2009 and 2010.

***SAVE THE DATE, APRIL 12, 6pm***
PERSONAL & PROPAGANDA:
I awoke this morning at 7am and after 9 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 3. I took my pill's at 8am. I am not sure when I will post today but should be early because I slept in my new bed last night but I did have one of those screwey dreams, which is why I awoke to just a 3. It probably had something to do with the movie (hunger games) and a discovery channel show about survivalist's and a company that builds “bunker's” for families anticipating the coming armageddon. Judi, Heidi, Danni and Trina went to the beach to celebrate Heidi's Birthday, and I went to Gloria'z for pork slider's before I went to Mass last night. Judi was going to call when they got to Lincoln City but didn't think there would be cell phone coverage for her criket phone, but I did think that she would call from the hotel when they got in, but she must have forgot so I went to Mass, and Confession and did receive the Sacrament's and signed up to join this parrish. I called and left Danni and Judi both messages and figured I might have a message at home after church, no messages when I got home so I tried again and found the phone number of the hotel and they did have a room for the ladies so I left a message there and tried once again to call Danni and Judi's cell, Danni did finally get my message and called me and then Judi text me to tell me they got down there safely, so all was well. I will try to catch a few of the talking heads today and maybe “finish” my shadow box. The Ladies expect to be back this evening and Danni said she would give me a call when they head out. I did fill out Congressman Schraders letter and Judi sent it in and I did also check the box to host a “house party” for him; it is very important that he get as much help as possible before the end of March. I also found out yesterday at Gloria'z that Mike Schaffler we be doing a fundraiser there on April 12th and Cory, the young lady doing Oral Histories, and picked me for a subject for her book and we got a couple pictures for her. What I didn't realize is she also was doing this for the Oregon Historical Society. I have a link below in my “Political” section, and you do not have to be from his district to donate.

It probably had something to do with the movie (hunger games) and a discovery channel show about survivalist's and a company that builds “bunker's” for families anticipating the coming armageddon. Judi, Heidi, Danni and Trina went to the beach to celebrate Heidi's Birthday, and I went to Gloria'z for pork slider's before I went to Mass last night. Judi was going to call when they got to Lincoln City but didn't think there would be cell phone coverage for her criket phone, but I did think that she would call from the hotel when they got in, but she must have forgot so I went to Mass, and Confession and did receive the Sacrament's and signed up to join this parrish. I called and left Danni and Judi both messages and figured I might have a message at home after church, no messages when I got home so I tried again and found the phone number of the hotel and they did have a room for the ladies so I left a message there and tried once again to call Danni and Judi's cell, Danni did finally get my message and called me and then Judi text me to tell me they got down there safely, so all was well. I will try to catch a few of the talking heads today and maybe “finish” my shadow box. The Ladies expect to be back this evening and Danni said she would give me a call when they head out. I did fill out Congressman Schraders letter and Judi sent it in and I did also check the box to host a “house party” for him; it is very important that he get as much help as possible before the end of March. I also found out yesterday at Gloria'z that Mike Schaffler we be doing a fundraiser there on April 12th and Cory, the young lady doing Oral Histories, and picked me for a subject for her book and we got a couple pictures for her. What I didn't realize is she also was doing this for the Oregon Historical Society. I have a link below in my “Political” section, and you do not have to be from his district to donate.

Putting Americans to Work in American Forests
In 2009, Jeff fought hard for funding for jobs in Oregon's forests as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to put unemployed Oregonians to work thinning our overgrown, choked second-growth forests. However, the companies hired to do the work evaded federal law to import cheap foreign workers, advertising for the jobs far from where the work was being done, then declaring there were no eligible Americans to do the work.
When Jeff learned about this outrage, he demanded answers from the Department of Labor, and recently partnered with Congressman Peter Defazio to introduce a bill that will fill the holes in the H-2B visa program so incidents like this one never happen again. The bill will force companies to work with the state's employment department to ensure there really are no Americans available before visas are granted. No one can say with a straight face there were not Oregonians ready and willing to work in the forests in 2009 and 2010.

****A NEW BED AND A 4+ NIGHT****
PERSONAL & PROPAGANDA:
I awoke this morning at 7am and after 9 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 4. I took my pill's at 8am. I am not sure when I will post today but should be early because I slept in my new bed last night, which is why I awoke to a 4. We went the movie (hunger games) and dinner tonight with Peg and Eric, with all the hoopla, and I being the only one of the 3 who did not read the book; I would still only give it a 2**. Between the good result's from my neurologist appointment Thursday, when he told me, based on the short appointment and review from the last appointment; he said “I hit a home run” and we both believe the new prescription is working very well. Judi is going to the beach with with “the girls” today and tommorrow, so I will be batching it for a couple of days but “I will survive”. I will try to make Mass this evening here in Milwaukie. I did fill out Congressman Schraders letter and will send it in, today I hope, and I did also check the box to host a “house party” for him; it is very important that he get as much help as possible before the end of March. ***NEW BED TODAY, YEA!!***
PERSONAL & PROPAGANDA:
I awoke this morning at 7am and after 10 hours of sleep, I awoke to a 3. after I moved out to my Lazy Boy because of some back pain, and took my pill's at 7:30am. I am not sure when I will post today, as they are supposed to deliver my new bed. (hooray!) We are also going to a movie and dinner tonight with Peg and Eric. I will be short today, but I did have good result's from my neurologist appointment yesterday; and he told me, based on the short appointment and review from the last appointment; he said “I hit a home run” and we both believe the new prescription is working very well. It is early, but the DOW is up a little over 45pt's so far. I did review and cleared about 250 saved emails from Kaiser, and the trust attorney. I think the O.M.S.N. direct link is on the front page. I did fill out Congressman Schraders letter and will send it in, today I hope, and I did also check the box to host a “house party” for him; it is very important that he get as much help as possible before the end of March. I have a link below in my “Political” section, and you do not have to be from his district to donate.
Don't forget, Brother Don Getman and the annual M.D. Poker fundraiser; April 1st up by the inn at the mountain. P.S. I still haven't heard from a soul :-(.

KAISER – M.S. REPORT:
My B.P. today is 120/71/56 at 8:30am, pretty good; I think anyway. I did also contact the Trust for help with the new bed that will get me out of my Lazy Boy for a good night's sleep, and it sounds like they will attempt to help. I am still waiting to hear from ATPA. My appointment with my neurologist yesterday I would say was an A+ and the regimen is working.
POLITICAL:
I am not sure if anyone else noticed the report that Mitt Romney won the Puerto Rican republican primary, and maybe I misheard a few statement's but it did seem to me, a few refered to the fact that Puerto Rico was a separate “country” and would have to make english their “primary” language?

Putting Americans to Work in American Forests
In 2009, Jeff fought hard for funding for jobs in Oregon's forests as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to put unemployed Oregonians to work thinning our overgrown, choked second-growth forests. However, the companies hired to do the work evaded federal law to import cheap foreign workers, advertising for the jobs far from where the work was being done, then declaring there were no eligible Americans to do the work.
When Jeff learned about this outrage, he demanded answers from the Department of Labor, and recently partnered with Congressman Peter Defazio to introduce a bill that will fill the holes in the H-2B visa program so incidents like this one never happen again. The bill will force companies to work with the state's employment department to ensure there really are no Americans available before visas are granted. No one can say with a straight face there were not Oregonians ready and willing to work in the forests in 2009 and 2010.
