PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 6am to a 3- after a good 9+ hours of sleep. It is a beautiful morning, I put out my flag, Then settled into my chair, I checked my e-mail, a report is in my POLITICAL section. I made an Amazon purchase (for Judi) that I will report on in the future. I am reviewing C-span, CNBC, CNN and the local news for blog fodder. I did make the Retirements party at the hall yesterday, it was a fitting function and a loss of good people from the staff of my local. I know Mike A. has had some health issues, but I sure hope he gets to enjoy a long and Happy Retirement, I actually hope that for all of them. I had good visits with a lot of people I haven't seen in quite a while. A number of different trades were also represented there. Everyone was happy for the retiree's but concerned about the employment picture, and if 290 will be able to replace so many skilled and dedicated staff in these lean times? After another busy day yesterday I hope I have the energy to make Rick and Brents function tonight, but I am not sure.

A Brent Barton Town Hall update:

Tonight, I want to hear the concerns facing you and your family. Join me and Senator Metsger for a town hall. We look forward to hearing from you.

Where: Clackamas High School library (14486 SE 122nd Ave)
When: Tonight, April 30, 6:30pm to 8:00pm

I'm still asking why the Oregon Democrats, don't support President Obama and his efforts to get us of foreign oil, encourage clean coal technology, and put Oregonians back to work on good union jobs with health care and other benefits?

Baracks 100 day report, needs repeating:

William --

Tomorrow will mark the President's hundredth day in office. A lot of attention will be given to this largely symbolic day, and the truth is that what we do every day after it will be just as important -- if not more. But our accomplishments in this time have been remarkable, and they're having real effects on people and communities throughout the country.

You built the movement that made this possible, and it's up to you to show Americans that real change can happen when ordinary citizens work together.

Explore this interactive map to learn about the progress we've made in the last 100 days and the stories of real Americans whose lives have already been touched. Then spread the word by passing it along to your friends and family.

With the country in crisis, the President took office and acted quickly to restore confidence and stability to our economy. But just as important were the steps we've taken toward building a new foundation for our prosperity, so that we never go back to the system that led us to crisis in the first place.

In just one hundred days, we've made crucial investments to create jobs and improve education, energy, and health care. All of this is a down payment for a new economic vision -- one where skilled workers fuel our economy rather than debt and speculation; one where American leadership on clean energy fuels 21st century innovation; and one where families and businesses are no longer weighed down by crushing health care costs.

Delivering on the promise of change is the reason we built this movement. Now, President Obama is counting on all of us to build support for this foundation and create a lasting recovery for America.

Take a look now at these critical first steps we've taken together and pass it on for others to see:

This new direction would not have been possible without you. But our biggest tests are yet to come, and the future is ours to shape. Let's seize this moment together so history will show that, at this defining crossroads, a generation of Americans put their country on the path to long-term security and prosperity.

Thank you,

David Plouffe

I am only giving him a strong B because on Saturday I hope to make the Muster at the Memorial Coliseum for those brave and devoted Oregon National Guard men and women being deployed to Iraq, or where ever. Personally I'd rather they were here to be of service for Oregon.

Is there anyone from Senator Murray's, Senator Cantwell's or Congressman Baird's office paying attention?

If any one is watching from Washington; the state or DC; I have a question. My sister has a mortgage currently with Wells Fargo with an interest rate currently over 7%. She did hear from them WF that the president (OBAMA) has a new plan to help her She was told they could refinance down to a 5% mortgage and they would send her the paperwork. The paper work offered an ARM that could go as high as 8%. I told her to package the paperwork and go visit the local office of her Congressman, Brian Baird or the Vancouver offices of either or both Senators. She thinks & I agree, WF is using the housing crisis, and the (OBAMA) housing program as a scam. I sure hope SOMEONE can tell me that President Obama is not part of this scam?

Could there possibly be some good jobs upcoming?

I still plan to make muster Saturday and I will be hearing the governor twice this week.

I thought Steve Lanning and his crew did a wonderful job Tuesday, but I'm still looking for my pitcher.

The news is that Senator Arlen Specter has decided he is a Democrat. Does that mean he will return to being an “Employee Free Choice Act” co-sponsor?

It does appear Congress is going try to find out who is at the bottom of the “financial” fiasco. I appreciate them investigating, and as much as it sounds like they may find a Bernie Madoff some where in there, It does seem like a Banks have run a Ponzi scheme, and the similarities in the Savings and Loan Sacandal of the past are uncanny, I'm sure the Bush name won't be the only thing tieing those two scandals together; Ya Think?

SPORTS

Blazers gotta win in Houston tonight, I really think those young guys have been playing really good 5 on 8 basketball, can they keep it up? You gotta believe!

Those Mariners are off to a wonderful start, even though they lost that last one in Chicago, with that Manager who's name I still can't spell or pronounce. With 2 players from Montana they SHOULD be able to go all the way.

Cubbies are off to a good start too.

One more time; I have to repeat this for those that did not know..........The Maersk Alabama was the American Flag Ship attacked by Somali pirates that was in the news for days a while back. I really think our donations helped get this out so quickly, Thank You.

As John Cronan, Third Engineer of Maersk Alabama, says:
"We are American seamen. We are union members. We stuck together, we did our jobs. And that's how we did it."

I did settle up with the spirits yesterday and found Wally's Walkers team at the MS website was still working good so even though the walk is finished I am going to try to put up a permanent link for Judi's team.

Brandee is still looking for help also.

After combining Brandee's Birthday and mine on some Keno tickets at certain strategic times during our road trip to the coast I figured the split between MS, Judi's team (Wally's Walkers) and the March of Dimes (Brandee's efforts). I had to go back to a past post to get a direct link for Wally's Walkers, but the donation link worked fror both and they were both thankfull for the $300 split. To those who would not be seen Brandee, and (March of Dimes thanks you) and Judi (MS thanks you) and I also.

This is worth a third mention I was sure pleased to se our own Senator Merckley on C-span. Commenting on those “vultures” in the Banking industry, and after I returned home that other Illinois Senator was speaking on that issue and his attempt to do something about it.

Partners in Construction Cooperation, alive or ?

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 7:30 am to a 3- after a good nights sleep. I took my am pills, went and fed the backyard birds with some grapes. It is a nice morning, I put out my flag, I then took 2 sessions in my chair, with my cast on. I then cleaned up for my PICC meeting at BT this morning and we headed out. I'll have more in my POLTICAL section on the meeting.

My combining Brandee's Birthday and mine on some Keno tickets at certain strategic times last week (when I had the feeling, and when its close to the hour of her birth) and I've decided (Those tickets winnings will be split between Judi's MS walk and Brandee's March of Dimes Walk) It is over now I haven't been able (yet) to grow the MS and the Marchforbabies.org original accumulation. I did get help from a few of “those who would not be seen”. I did do a five spot for Mike, for ten games; thats 800 numbers called and it only takes three hits in a game to win something, but alas, “Those that would not be seen” were apparently keeping an eye on Me (many, many thanks), Brandee (March of Dimes thanks you) and Judi (MS thanks you, Judi, not so much.)

Tommorrow's regular BT meeting is cancelled (4/28); we encourage everyone to attend the AFL-CIO’s memorial service and dedication of the Fallen Worker Memorial at the State Capitol Mall in Salem on Tuesday, April 28th from noon to 1:00pm in remembrance of those killed and injured on the job.  Gov. Ted Kulongoski will be the featured speaker. I am going to try to make it, I hope predictions for rain are not correct and I do have an NCA appointment at 10am and I'm sure I'll be chastised for not taking my cast to the beach.

Well, I am home from the PICC meeting and the lunch that followed. I thought that the meeting went well, with a number of good suggestions. It was sure good to see everyone that I had not seen in a long time. My simple take is, that while PICC is not dead, It is definitely on Life support. I believe that with our new President, Obama) that a return to a time of Labor Management Cooperation gives PICC a chance. With so many New heads of the Local Unions; since the last PICC project; being unfamilar with the program and it's goals and processes I think a having a function to reintroduce PICC is a good idea. John is absolutely right, in order for it(PICC)to be successful, it will need to be understood and supported by the current Local Union Business Managers, Contractors and Construction users.

My combining Brandee's Birthday and mine on some Keno tickets at certain strategic times last week (when I had the feeling, and when its close to the hour of her birth) and I've decided (Those tickets winnings will be split between Judi's MS walk and Brandee's March of Dimes Walk) It is over now I haven't been able (yet) to grow the MS and the March forbabies.org original accumulation.

POLITICAL

I forgot to set the tape last night for the talking heads this morning so I will be limited on my comments. (No laughing please!)

Next week’s regular BT meeting is cancelled (4/28); we encourage everyone to attend the AFL-CIO’s memorial service and dedication of the Fallen Worker Memorial at the State Capitol Mall in Salem on Tuesday, April 28th from noon to 1:00pm in remembrance of those killed and injured on the job.  Gov. Ted Kulongoski will be the featured speaker. I am going to try to make it, but I do have a NCA appointment at 10am and I'm sure I'll be chastised for not taking my cast to the beach.

SPORTS

I “DEMAND” Keno & Let it Ride, be considered a sport, after all, are not chess and checkers? In that case, I'm doing fine, it's brother Mike thats in a slump.

Mariners are off to a wonderful start, with that Manager; who's name I still can't spell or pronounce.

C0MMUNITY ORGANIZERS

I had to repeat this for those that did not know..........The Maersk Alabama was the American Flag Ship attacked by Somali pirates that was in the news for days a while back. I really think our donations helped get this out so quickly, Thank You.

Here is a cool update from American Rights at work, his interview is on the website:

As John Cronan, Third Engineer of Maersk Alabama, says:
"We are American seamen. We are union members. We stuck together, we did our jobs. And that's how we did it."

NWOLC's Labor Appreciation is coming up, I hope you all have your tickets!

The Helena AOH is still raising funds for their to-do, The Meagher Memorial at Fort Benton Montana. Donations can be sent to The Meagher Memorial at PO Box 1916; Helena Montana 59624. With the many Irish followers I have, maybe I can give them some aid.

I always thought Grampas, and Momas, were supposed to be doing the bragging? I thought I knew a lot about the Jewish faith, considering I have a number of Jewish friends, but they never told me that baby bragging was also a poppas responsibility. A yes Momma I too can read that much spanish. http://wyattgabriel.blogspot.com/

For those that contacted the “Spirits” on the mountain, thank you. I am also playing for help for Brandee and babies everywhere. And yes, I am shameless with all the dealers. Take a look, and help if you can:

Those Union Trained American Seamen are awesome!

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 7:30 am to a 3+ after a great nights sleep at the beach. I took my am pills and observed the beach activity, it was pretty quiet but a real low tide and sunny morning.
I am still combining Brandee's Birthday and mine on some Keno tickets at certain strategic times (when I have the feeling, and when its close to the hour of her birth) and I've decided (Those tickets winnings will be split between Judi's MS walk and Brandee's March of Dimes Walk) It is the fifth day now and I haven't been able (yet) to grow the MS and the March forbabies.org original accumulation but I still have 1 and ½ days left to make that grow. I am very sure there are a few of “those who would not be seen” helping us. I will check out my numbers after breakfast. They were, after all, more thoughtfull at Spirit Mountain for the charities. We did run up there yesterday but no car, no cash, no charitable giving.

SUCCESSFULL ROAD TRIP STARTS

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 9:30 am to a 3+ after a great nights sleep at the beach. We made it to Chinook Winds last night after one very nice stop along the way, at Spirit Mountain. I did tell Betsy, and Judi, and I might even have published this already, so maybe even Brandee is aware, but I am combining her Birthday and mine on some Keno tickets at certain strategic times (when I have the feeling, and when its close to the hour of her birth) and I've decided (Those tickets winnings will be split between Judi's MS walk and Brandee's March of Dimes Walk) It is only the second day of this trip but MS and the March forbabies.org have garnered $250.00 each, and we've got 3 and ½ days left to make that grow. I am very sure there are a few of “those who would not be seen” helping us, heck even Judi's being trated well; although I tried but couldn't win that one cool car for her at spirit mountain. She has been fixating on those one of those new T-Birds and we actually spotted 4-5 of them on the way over here. I think it's a sign, She thinks I'm crazy. I'm not sure if I will be able to post from here but it does appear we have a wifi connection in our room. Judi got me connected, and right in the middle of reading my email, it went away, and she's off shopping.

Double blog day # 2 for Brent & Wally

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 5:45am to a 3, after about 8 hours of sleep. I took my am pills, It is a chilly but dry and sunny morning. Judi's flag reminder system is working well so far. She remembered to take it in last night, and I remembered to put it out this morning. Having completed my morning chores I settled into my chair to catch up on the talking heads, Sunday Morning, Face the Nation (CBS), Meet The Press (NBC), and This Week (ABC) the news, and later Oregon Vo ters Digest (with Bruce & Bob). I did go to the Brent Barton coffee. More on that later in the Political section. I still have to call my Senators to support The Employee Free Choice Act. I still plan on doing even though I believe they are both on the right side of this issue. The Helena AOH is still raising funds for their to-do, The Meagher Memorial at Fort Benton Montana. Donations can be sent to The Meagher Memorial at PO Box 1916; Helena Montana 59624. With those many Irish followers I have, maybe I can do them some aid. I'm still not sure when, but, I hope to get a link to the many pictures that were taken at the MS walk. Road Trip to the coast next week so my posts may be a little sporadic.

POLITICAL

I did go to the coffee with my State Representative. It was very informative and the turnout was cerainly bigger than he expected. And I told him I would report on my blog, It seemed seemed one key issue was the Budget shortfalls and where they are going to have to cut. It appears no one really wants to cut services, but also it appears no one want's to raise taxes. I told him that now that I FINALLY am receiving SSI Disability he can raise mine to save those key programs, and he even said the LNG Plant citing is in control of the Federal Government it will probably happen. So when I make tht call to Ron and Jeff for the “Employee Free Choice Act” I'll remind them that, #1 Oregon needs those jobs and the clean energy source and that plant doesn't need the “Employee Free Choice Act” because The owner committed to being Union 10 years ago. I did suggest that maybe a small tax on the Natural Gas transported could help the Budget problems also. There were a couple of people that objected because an LNG plant is so dangerous. I guess I've just missed all the news reports on those devastating LNG plant explosions happening out there. I also found out that Lake Oswego has a NIMBY issue about an affordable housing project being proposed, come on people take down those gates!

→ Third Saturday of the month, 10am to 11am
Starbucks on 10255 SE Sunnyside Road
     Across from Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital

I did make it, but I'd still rather be going to McCools.

I also heard back from my friends at the Washington State Building Trades on their Legislature's attempts to re-screw Washington Construction workers. Not just the Union ones, all of them.

WORTH REPEATING------

The WSBT report: On Unemployment Insurance; the amended version from the House (with the multiplier) received support from Jacks and Moeller of the 49th district, Probst but not Wallace of the 17th district and no support from the 15th or 18th districts (republicans).

Is the the Governor of Texas still advocating Sucession like at his in Austin Tea Party. Lets see.........for every $1.00 Texas sends to Washington D.C., they get $ .88 back from DC. I've also seen somewhere, the State of Texas is in the top 10 states feeding at the Federal Trough. I say, let em go and maybe Oregon can move up to close to $.50.

I still hate the thought that so many of my relatives would become forieners. But at least they wouldn't be illegal aliens. ( I don't think anyway )

Those American Rights at Work Ad’s are sure getting better and better, which brings me to their request to call Senator's Wyden and Merkley. This I will do; and don't forget about the LNG plant and those hundreds of GOOD jobs, and the Feds dont have to use their “Recovery” money there. I may have a reader that can deliver the message personally. Maybe they will check out my blog, Ron has told me he has checked it out before.
Do those anti health care people really believe that people will think a National Health Plan means you will have to go to a DMV like center to get healthcare? CNBC's Erin Burnett even asked the question today. Just because you live in the richest country in the world, do you really believe you have a right to health care?

SPORTS

Seattle did win last night and they are sure off to a great start. with Ichiro back, Griffey returning home, and their Montana connection, I'm definitely going to have to make a road rip up there with my “Butte Hall of Fame” cap. I still say the Blazers can go all the way, if they would just get some good officials.

Double blog day # 1 for Al Franken

William -

Finally, all the votes have been counted in the Minnesota Senate race between DFA endorsed Al Franken and Republican Norm Coleman.

Al Franken won. Every time Norm Coleman has demanded new vote counts or challenged "suspected" ballots -- the margin of victory for Al has just increased.

You would think that losing would be enough for Norm to concede the race, but it isn't. DC Republicans are encouraging him to drag this election out for as long as possible and they're willing to bankroll new court challenges to keep it going.

Oh, Republicans in DC know Al Franken won. But for them, it's worth it to keep shelling out money to block another Democratic vote in support of President Obama.

Put simply, the incentives for DC Republicans are all wrong. So let's flip this on its head. Today, we're teaming up with a brand new partner, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC), to launch the "Dollar a Day to Make Norm Go Away" Campaign.

Here's how it works: If thousands of us donate $1 a day to defeat Republicans and elect bold progressives in 2010 for every day that Norm Coleman refuses to concede, then suddenly Norm staying in this fight doesn't seem like a good idea for DC Republicans anymore.

All donations will go to directly to the PCCC – the new group formed by former MoveOn and labor organizers, Democratic campaigners, and the co-inventor of RSS & Reddit to help bold progressive candidates run effective campaigns and win.

Think about how a Dollar A Day will change the game. If thousands of people sign up, and Republicans up for re-election in 2010 see the progressives who are out to defeat them get an infusion of donations each day that Coleman is obstinate, what do you think will happen?

First, they may be in denial. But after a couple days, and as more and more progressives encourage their friends to hop on board, you'll have Republican Senators, House members, strategists, lobbyists, and their big money funders all calling Coleman saying, "Your time's up, Norm. Concede!"

Al Franken has won this election -- let's make sure that Norm Coleman gets the m

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIANNA AND MIKE!

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 6:45am to a 3, after about 9 hours of sleep. I took my am pills, and it is a chilly but dry morning. Judi's flag reminder system is working well so far. She remembered to take it in last night, and I remembered to put it out this morning. My neighbor from across the street was busy loading up his truck with fishing gear and I wished him luck. Having completed my morning chores I settled into my chair to catch up on the early news. Not much in talking heads on C-span, CNBC, CNN, as it is Saturday and I still haven't found a Saturday morning cartoon show that can match the talking heads.
I remembered my email from my friends at American Rights at Work asking that I call my Senators to support The Employee Free Choice Act. I still plan on doing that but I believe they are both on the right side of this issue. It shure was this week as most of Congress was back home talking to real people. My Congressman Earl 's function was thursday and I haven't anything to report on it yet.

The Meagher Memorial

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 6:30am to a 3-, after 7+ hours of sleep. I took my am pills, It is chilly and wet morning. I settled into my chair to catch up on the talking heads on C-span, CNBC, CNN and the local news. The Governor of Texas advocated Sucession at his in Austin Tea Party. Lets see.........for every $1.00 Texas sends to Washington D.C., they get $ .88 back from DC. I've also seen somewhere, the State of Texas is in the top 10 states feeding at the Federal Trough. I say, let em go and maybe Oregon can move up to close to $.50.

I do hate the thought that so many of my relatives would become forieners. But at least they wouldn't be illegal aliens. ( I don't think anyway )

Those American Rights at Work Ad’s are sure getting better and better, which brings me to their request to call Senator's Wyden and Merkley. This I will do; but being they are home for the Easter break I may have a reader that can deliver the message personally.
Today is Tax Day. Also Tea Party Protest day. I haven't seen any news reports on the millions that must be in the streets marching right now, and burning their social security and medicare cards, of course, as you may have noticed, FOX is not one of my regular fodder stops. ( I do try to be accurate on this blog)

SPORTS

Seattle did lose last night; but Ichiro is back, Griffey has returned home, and the relief catcher is from Billings Montana, I haven't visited Keith Olberman's sports blog yet, but it should be fun. I still say the Blazers can go all the way. Oh, I forgot, Brandon won his game.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUR HOLINESS

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 545am to a 3-, after 7+ hours of sleep. I took my am pills, It was a beautifull morning and I settled into my chair to catch up on the talking heads on C-span, CNBC, CNN and the local news. C-span had Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas adressing a group, I'm thinking he needs to get ready for when the Norm Coleman issue gets to the Court? It should be quiet this week as most of Congress is back home talking to real people. My Congressman Earl 's function is today that I hope to report on later under Political. I received the latest issue of the AOH Newspaper and saw the report from Montana, and uncle Hank looks good and cousin Tom is still trying to deceive people on his face book page. The Helena AOH are also raising funds for a to-do, and with those many Irish followers I have, maybe I can do them some aid. I'm still not sure when, but, I hope to get a link to the many pictures that were taken at the walk.

POSTED FROM MY LAZY BOY !!!!!!!

PERSONAL

I awoke at 5am this morning to a 2- after 7+ hours of sleep. The 2- was due in large part because I tried sleeping in the body cast. While that did give me a solid 10 hours in it, and I slept until 5am, I didn’t feel real rested when I woke up. I did get out with Judi for a couple hours yesterday and we did some shopping, I just used Bill’s Walker and my cane and I think that tired me out too much. We don’t have any plans for today but I have a full charge on my scooter. Speaking of a full charge, on our shopping trip I got a new cell from ATT. It has a multitude of bells and whistles that I will probably never learn how to use, but we got to keep our antique rollover minutes and I think they are even paying us? At least now, when I protest in the street, and the Man uses his club on me I’ll be able to take his picture, and you never know when those Phoenix Lights will be coming to Clackamas and you have to be prepared.

POLITICAL

I received the following email from Democracy for America. It appears that while Christmas has One Grinch; Easter has a flock of them.
Great news! Yesterday, my brother Howard said that if 1,000 people contribute $100 each by the end of April, we'll have the resources to launch our largest grassroots field effort ever and truly reform our healthcare system. As of this morning,
477donors have answered his challenge.
That means we are almost half way there. Can you chip in and take us over the hump?
YOUR SUPPORT WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
HMO's and Insurance Companies are already working to stop us. The Hill reports that Blue Cross Blue Shield and 1,300 other private insurers have told Senate leadership to strip a public healthcare option from any upcoming legislation. As you can imagine, they will stop at nothing to kill real reform. Congress is already hearing from Pfizer and Merck. Let's make sure they hear the voices of the American people too. FUEL THE CAMPAIGN WITH A CONTRIBUTION NOW
Thank you for all you do.
Jim Dean, Chair
Democracy for America

I don’t have the $100 or even know 523 people that can do this, maybe by making more people aware, It’ll help.

Tony Orlando and Dawn Revival?

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 7:15am to a 3, after 7 hours of good sleep. I took my am pills and put out my flag for Daniel, my mobility after my pills and getting the flag out, I think I already reached a 4. We went to Dinner last night with Kelli and Marty at Red Lobster, which fulfilled a promise I made to Judi, the dinner and company were very good and I even stayed up past 11pm. No scooter, no walker, just my cane; I think that was because I got 6 ½ hours in my cast. Judi and I are going shopping today, I’m looking for a yellow ribbon for Daniel and Christopher, a new cell phone, I also need to replenish my vitamins and Judi has her eye on a “cute” little digital camera. After yesterdays results from 6+ hours in my cast I’m going to try to get another 6 in today. I may even try sleeping in it tonight. I am going to checkout face book to see if either Christopher or Daniel are listed there? With all the musical revivals going on, I’ll keep an eye out for those good ole Tie a Yellow Ribbon types and try to keep you aware also. I also want to do another pitch for Jemal at All in One Mobility Inc, Columbia Pacific Airport Way (you know, the one with a monument, not just a sign) and that wonderful team at Quest Investment.

POLITICAL

I watched “Big Ed” Schultz last night on CNBC and he was great. I’ve listened to him a few times on the Radio and I really like how he thinks. He even had our friends at American Rights at Work as a sponsor and story.

I’ll just keep asking until somebody tells me…… Is there any good Oregon Democrat out there that can explain to me why it seems some Democrats in Salem, Oregon are so anti-Obama?

SPORTS

Tiger is in striking distance at the Masters, but he will have to do what no one has every done before. I think that might just be the challenge he needs. They’ve already set one new record this year (11 birdies in a round!)
I don’t know if it’s what they were trying to do, but I think the Blazers sent a big message to the rest of the league last night.
With the Masters, and the Blazers run to the playoffs, I haven’t been able to follow hardly any Baseball yet. I still don’t know how to pronounce the Seattle Managers name.

HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND - BRING THE GUARD HOME

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 7am to a 2+, after 9 hours of good sleep. I am going to blame the 2+ on the fact that I only wore my back cast for 2 ½ hours over the last 3 days. They will be short blogs this Easter Weekend in deference to this special Holiday.
Daniel,-------------------------------------,I did my own redacting as I am not sure what I can post, and I sure don't want to get family in trouble, but I do want to keep track as best I can. I sure don't want to become another Geraldo and end up on FOX. My hopes and prayers are that Peace will breakout in the Middle East. You can all help with your own good thoughts and prayers.
Our Families newest edition, Wyatt Gabriel, has got his own blog, at just a few days old. I will try to share it with everyone in my “Community Organizers” section.

POLITICAL

I hope I can remember to put my Flag (the one we got from Darlene, that flew over the capital) out every day till Daniel and all the other men and women get back. I don’t have a yellow ribbon, or even a tall Oak tree, but I do have an old John Edwards Political T-shirt I may be able to put out, that may be able to serve the same purpose for me. Is there any good Oregon Democrat out there that can explain to me why it seems some Democrats in Oregon are so anti-Obama?

TIE A YELLOW RIBBON...........

PERSONAL

I slept in this morning again until 7am and awoke to a 3- after 9+ hours of good sleep. I took my am pills and settled into my Lazy Boy for 4 massages and tuned into the regulars, C-span, CNN, CNBC and our local news for blog fodder to report on later in the appropriate section. I am not going to have too much as My personal report may be rather dominating. My 3-, and late sleep I will attribute to yesterday’s events. Judi and I took a road trip to visit some of my money at the Spirit Mountain Casino. This was purely a “business” trip to see if my money was lonely and the loading and unloading and of my “scooter” was as easy as we thought it would be. It was all of that and I think I even would have made a sale, had I been a salesman for All In One Mobility, Inc; you know that great place located out the on Airport Way in the Columbia Pacific Airport Way Business Park. You know, the one with a monument, not just a sign! My road trip lasted for 7+ hours, and I think that was an 09 record. Brother Marty is coming by in a little while and we are going to run over to the Hall and maybe do lunch.

POLITICAL

I received a nice email request from a National Organization to try to help Obama in Oregon. Based on my observations of Oregon Democrats, both Statewide and in Salem he definitely needs the help here. I am still confused as to why so many Oregon Democrats at least, APPEAR, to be anti-Obama.
P.S. President Obama, Governor Ted, and General Caldwell. I am very proud of my nephew and all those other men and women in “The Guard”. But I am very disappointed in the fact that GW made the Oregon National Guard a part of the world Guard and you’s guys haven’t done enough to remake them the OREGON NATIONAL GUARD.

OTHER STUFF & OBSERVATIONS

I hope everyone can share the American Rights at work website so my small donation can be utilized to it’s fullest extent. I did send them another small donation because they are still doing the Lords work.

Please, You can share the American Rights, the MS walk, the March of Dimes walk and the recovery websites; so my taxes and donations can be utilized to their fullest extent.

Whether you attend a church service, a Mosque, G & L gathering, or Synagogue service, please say a prayer that God; yours, mine or ours; keeps our service men and women in the Palm of their hand.

And maybe even a big prayer for my nephew Daniel and all his family.

Mike, I am posting over 500, and with the sun still out, I am still posting at 4+.

Well, I’ll see you next time on my blog………….
