I awoke this morning at 5:45 today after 8+hrs of sleep to a 3-, put out my flag. I did fill out my appeal to Kaiser at their office with the help of Tyree this morning and will send or deliver copies to all H.& W trustees and I think I will also appeal to Medicare. If they are determined to deny my claim I believe that would constitute a change in coverage since my qualification for Medicare. I also signed up (again, I think) for the Kaiser “Advantage” program. I emailed my neurologist and I did refill the LDN today. I think I found out what the confusion was and it appears it was the difference between 2 different prescriptions, one prescribed by my primary care physician and two by my Neurologist. I must also say that the drawing for the BULL session participants went well and between Gil F. and myself we managed to be the first two tickets pulled for the drawing. I did call Jim Moss to thank him for the lower cost, as I received the credit at the Union meeting I will get hold of him and or Ed to try to get an afternoon start time. Judi did send in the money (full price) for both the dinner Auction and the golf so I will try to get a credit for that at the the Auction, after all, I donated that fishing trip I won at the B.T. Christmas party; but I will take my founders paper weight to remind me NOT to use my auction number, but it will be hard I'm sure. She even suggested I take Mike as we are not sure the local will be sending him. Gil will be able to make the golf, and he is an experienced “Wally Catcher” and it will be great to play with two other “regular hands”. Mick is getting settled in his rehab center and doing better and thats good news; and Brother in Law Eric's son is out of the hospital. I am still waiting on All in One Mobility at Columbia Pacific Airport Way, and the “shower guy” to send someone or come by to fix my walk in shower. We did get a visit from the Leaf guard gutter person for the house and with Judi's Costco card we will have additional saving if we get them, but they are still expensive. I did also get a skype video phone call last night from Larry and Betsy and that was fun, apparently they have a rulle there that you “can't” start campaigning for another week or so.

I still believe the U of O is ANTI-UNION, and it appears to me now that they are not alone. Keep up the heat.

NEPHEW CHRISTOPHER IS IN AFGHANISTAN STILL BUT SURE SOUNDED GOOD ON THE PHONE. Thank you for your service and you are in our prayers every day. It appears our prayers are being heard.

Cousin Larry Pahut's, run off election is in November and he will also need more help. I will say thank you to any and all that helped. That would be a picture of our grandfather there on the right, John L. Monahan, L for Larry? His sister, Patty Ann Sullivan is his Campaign Manager and must have done a fine job. I actually did send him a check, and saw that it had been cashed and would ask all to give what they can. (campaign H.Q. Are 400 Spruce, Anaconda, Montana 59711) Based on the fact he is in a run off they will probably still need more funds, maybe I'll get my checks from S.S. or Kaiser before November.

M.S., and LDN REPORT

This is my attempt to keep track of my experiences with my LDN treatment for my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the 4.5mg, I think I'm noticeably better, I have changed when I take it to coincide with my noon regimen. I am experiencing better days and now that I'm doing the new dosage I am seeing a marked change. I have now stopped taking that brand new FDA approved pill, Aminopyridine and I will be seeing if there is a change. It was supposed to be good for “gait” issues, even those with primary progressive. My BP is 117/73/61 at 3:10pm.

As I mentioned earlier, seniors who fall in the "doughnut hole" in Medicare prescription drug coverage are already starting to get relief -- in the form of $250 checks -- to help cover the cost of prescriptions. Next year, prescription drug prices will be cut in half when seniors hit the doughnut hole, and, within ten years, the new law will have closed the gap completely.

CHECK OUT PAST BLOGS FOR THE Top 5 Social Security Myths. I am only going to list the first one from now on, as it is the biggest, as far as I'm concerned and I will save the space.

Myth #1: Social Security is going broke.
Reality: There is no Social Security crisis.  By 2023, Social Security will have a $4.6 trillion surplus (yes, trillion with a 'T').  It can pay out all scheduled benefits for the next quarter-century with no changes whatsoever. After 2037, it'll still be able to pay out 75% of scheduled benefits—and again, that's without any changes. The program started preparing for the Baby Boomers' retirement decades ago. Anyone who insists Social Security is broke probably wants to break it themselves.

If you have been following my blog you must be aware that I am not the happiest with the actions or inactions of Congress or the President but I truly believe that in his year and a half he has got more done for me and working men and women of this country than has been accomplished in decades.

Instead of debating the issues, Chris Dudley is still avoiding them – running glossy TV ads with empty slogans and stirring music. Oregonians deserve more: a real discussion about the issues between the candidates - and grassroots campaigns that take that discussion to the doorstep.

Speaking of struggling teams, besides the Cubs and Mariners and Orioles; Peter have your people keep an eye on that Mehrens kid that will be playing fall ball for the S. Cal Rangers, I have been trying to follow his progress on line and he definitely has the right stuff, although his team is really struggling. Based on what I've read he will be making a wonderful closer.

The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't. E.F.C.A. Especially in light of that mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf.

The U.A. Local 290 “Don Salee” Member Assistance Program. I have a meeting set up with Dave Stahley and Bob Murray on Thursday to discuss a regular program for the retiree's and some fund raising activities.

I did go over to Home Depot and check for a patio chase lounge and checked the value of my gift card but they had nothing left, so I went to their website and I did see what I was looking for, a patio chaise lounge, but after checking Amazon I found a better deal and got a rain cover too. Today is Shiprack's 60th Birthday so I will give him a Happy Birthday shout out again. I know I still must send my appeal to Kaiser and all H.& W trustees and I think I will also appeal to Medicare as if they are determined to deny my claim I believe that would constitute a change in coverage since my qualification for Medicare. I have been done with the Aminopyridine now for a while and I think my gait is not any worse, it is time to reorder the LDN, I emailed my neurologist yesterday and I will refill the LDN today. I think I found out what the confusion was and it appears it was the difference between 2 different prescriptions, one prescribed by my primary care physician and two by my Neurologist. I must also say that the drawing for the BULL session participants went well and between Gil F. and myself we managed to be the first two tickets pulled for the drawing. Lou was looking for a GIN number from me but I told him I don't have one as I haven't been able to play even 10 rounds in 4-5 years, the handicap they gave me last year I will settle for, as I think that was the max. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIA, AND A DAY EARLY BOB

We went to Bruce and Sues daughter's house warming yesterday and had a wonderful time, great rib's. I will wish Maria Smithson and Bob Shiprack Happy Birthday, Maria's is today and Bob's is tomorrow. I would ask all to go down the blog and say my Novena to Mary as we seem to be having an affect on both, Mick is getting feeling back in his hand and Arron was released from the hospital. Myth #1: Social Security is going broke.
Reality: There is no Social Security crisis.  By 2023, Social Security will have a $4.6 trillion surplus (yes, trillion with a 'T').  It can pay out all scheduled benefits for the next quarter-century with no changes whatsoever. After 2037, it'll still be able to pay out 75% of scheduled benefits—and again, that's without any changes. The program started preparing for the Baby Boomers' retirement decades ago. Anyone who insists Social Security is broke probably wants to break it themselves.

If you have been following my blog you must be aware that I am not the happiest with the actions or inactions of Congress or the President but I truly believe that in his year and a half he has got more done for me and working men and women of this country than has been accomplished in decades.

Instead of debating the issues, Chris Dudley is still avoiding them – running glossy TV ads with empty slogans and stirring music. Oregonians deserve more: a real discussion about the issues between the candidates - and grassroots campaigns that take that discussion to the doorstep.

Cal Rangers, I have been trying to follow his progress on line and he definitely has the right stuff, although his team is really struggling. Based on what I've read he will be making a wonderful closer.

The American Rights at Work still needs help. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't. E.F.C.A. Especially in light of that mine disaster in West Virginia and those Rig explosions in the Gulf.

The U.A. Local 290 “Don Salee” Member Assistance Program. I have a meeting set up with Dave Stahley and Bob Murray on Thursday to discuss a regular program for the retiree's and some fund raising activities.

SORRY MICHELLE - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY

I slept in this morning until 9am today after 9+hrs of sleep to a 3. I am cathing up on what I missed, while on my trip to Canyonville and will be getting ready to go to Bruce and Sues daughter's house warming this after noon. One thing I did miss was wishing Michelle Jacques a Happy Birthday. I would ask all to go down the blog and say my Novena to Mary as we have a new addition and he still needs the prayers. I did get to use my new driver at the Building Trades golf tournament. The course was beautiful but it was a 100+ degrees but I really liked it. I know must send an appeal to Kaiser and all H.& W trustees and I think I will also appeal to Medicare as if they are determined to deny my claim I believe that would constitute a change in coverage since my qualification for Medicare. I thought we had the Kaiser confusion straightened out and Lou is still working on it. I received a package in the mail while I was and the appeal was in it, I will fill it out tomorrow and send copies to the trust and Medicare. Yesterday I took the last of the Aminopyridine but Dr Zarelli said I could stop when that prescription ran out. I think I found out what the confusion was and it appears it was the difference between 2 different prescriptions, one prescribed by my primary care physician and two by my Neurologist. I must also say that the drawing for the BULL session participants went well and between Gil F. and myself we managed to be the first two tickets pulled for the drawing. Lou was looking for a GIN number from me but I told him I don't have one as I haven't been able to play even 10 rounds in 4-5 years, the handicap they gave me last year I believe is fair. I did call Jim Moss to thank him for the lower cost, as I received the credit at the Union meeting and I will get hold of Jim and or Ed to try to get an afternoon start time. Judi did send in the money (full price) for both the dinner Auction and the golf so I will try to get a credit for that at the the Auction, after all, I donated that fishing trip I won at the B.T. Christmas party; but I will take my founders paper weight to remind me NOT to use my auction number, but it will be hard I'm sure. She even suggested I take Mike as we are not sure the local will be sending him. Gil will be able to make the golf, and he is an experienced “Wally Catcher” and it will be great to play with two other “regular hands”. Mick is getting settled in his rehab center and doing better and thats the good news; the bad news is, we still need to add Brother in Law Eric's son to our prayers as he is in the hospital and they are trying to find out what is wrong, they believe he had a heart attack (24 years old). The Deck is actually finished and the patio table and chairs are back. I am still waiting on All in One Mobility at Columbia Pacific Airport Way, and the “shower guy” to send someone or come by to fix my walk in shower as it is still not shutting off completely and the drip, drip, drip is still there. We did get a visit from a Leaf guard gutter person for the house and with Judi's Costco card we will have additional saving if we get them, but hey are still expensive. I did win a gift card from home depot but I don't know how much is on it but there are not many home projects I can attempt, but maybe they will have an end of summer patio furniture sale? It was also really nice to get that text message to Ray at the Building Trades from Giz. I did get back in time to catch the end of niece Lacy's B.D. Celebration across the street and did get a belated B.D. card and a Power Ball ticket from niece Stephenie but it only got 1 number. Oh well I still have one more drawing tonight on my set of tickets.

I still believe the U of O is ANTI-UNION, and it appears to me now that they are not alone. Keep up the heat.

NEPHEW CHRISTOPHER IS IN AFGHANISTAN STILL BUT SURE SOUNDED GOOD ON THE PHONE. Thank you for your service and you are in our prayers every day. It appears our prayers are being heard.

Cousin Larry Pahut's, run off election is in November and he will also need more help. I will say thank you to any and all that helped. This is my attempt to keep track of my experiences with my LDN treatment for my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the 4.5mg, I think I'm noticeably better, I have changed when I take it to coincide with my noon regimen. I am experiencing better days and now that I'm doing the new dosage I am seeing a marked change. I have now stopped taking that brand new FDA approved pill, Aminopyridine and I will be seeing if there is a change. It was supposed to be good for “gait” issues, even those with primary progressive. Convention and leaft my computer behind. I went down there because it was Bob Shipracks last one and they elected John Mohlis as the new head of the State Building Trades, which was a good move as far as I am concerned,. He did a fantastic job as my replacement at the Columbia Pacific Building Trades Secretary Treasurer. I would ask all to go down blog and say my Novena to Mary as we have a new addition and he still needs the prayers. I did get to use my new driver at the Building Trades golf tournament. I slept in this morning until 9:15am today after 9+hrs of sleep to a 3-. I will not be blogging for about four days, as I am heading out this morning to Canyonville Oregon for the O.S.B.T. Convention and leaving my computer behind, I will have my cell phone and it is listed on my blog. I am going down there because it is Bob Shipracks last one and I believe they will be electing John Mohlis as the new head of the State Building Trades, which is a good move as far as I am concerned, He has done a fantastic job as my replacement at the Columbia Pacific Building Trades Secretary Treasurer. I would ask all to go down blog and say my Novena to Mary as we have a new addition and he needs the prayers. I did get to swing my new driver yesterday and I really like it. My Union meeting Friday night was eventful, because after I was able to contact the Kaiser rep that should have been able to help get my co-payment money squared away and she did say I was denied, but could appeal. All three H.& W trustees were at the meeting so I made my appeal directly on the floor and I must say the reception I received from the membership, at least they approved my appeal. I thought I had the Kaiser confusion straightened out and I did tell her (Angela) Lou would be contacting her. I think I found out what the confusion was and it appears it was the difference between 2 different prescriptions, one prescribed by my primary care physician and one by my Neurologist. I must also say that the drawing for the BULL session participants went well and between Gil F. and myself we managed to be the first two tickets pulled for the drawing. Finally Gil will be able to make it, and we will have a few “regular hands” there. .I did get an email from Mary Ellen and it sounded like Mick is getting settled in a rehab center and doing better, thats the good news; the bad news is, we need to add Brother in Law Eric's son to our prayers as he is in the hospital and they are trying to find out what is wrong, they believe he had a heart attack (24 years old). Michael Ross didn't make it by as he was swamped with family tasks, but he is also heading south today and maybe I will see him on the road. The Deck is actually finished and all that is left to do is move Judi's plants and the patio table and chairs back. I was hoping I had received my Kaiser refund, or my S.S. $250.00 to help pay my way but that didn't happen. I am still waiting on All in One Mobility at Columbia Pacific Airport Way, and the “shower guy” to send someone or come by to fix my walk in shower as it is still not shutting off completely and the drip, drip, drip at night was keeping me up.

My new driver is here and I am leaving to go to the OSBT Convention, I did get a few swings in yesterday, thank you Gil.

I still believe the U of O is ANTI-UNION, and it appears to me now that they are not alone. Keep up the heat.

NEPHEW CHRISTOPHER IS IN AFGHANISTAN STILL BUT SURE SOUNDED GOOD ON THE PHONE. Thank you for your service and you are in our prayers every day. It appears our prayers are being heard.

Cousin Larry Pahut's, run off election is in November and he will also need more help. I will say thank you to any and all that helped. That would be a picture of our grandfather there on the right, John L. Monahan, L for Larry? His sister, Patty Ann Sullivan is his Campaign Manager and must have done a fine job. I actually did send him a check, and saw that it had been cashed and would ask all to give what they can. (campaign H.Q. Are 400 Spruce, Anaconda, Montana 59711) Based on the fact he is in a run off they will probably still need more funds, maybe I'll get my checks from S.S. or Kaiser before November?

M.S., LDN and AMP REPORT

This is my attempt to keep track of my experiences with my LDN treatment for my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the 4.5mg, I think I'm noticeably better, I have changed when I take it to coincide with my noon regimen. I am experiencing better days and now that I'm doing the new dosage I am seeing a marked change. I have now been on that brand new FDA approved pill, Aminopyridine, even though I missed a few times, I am very pleased. It is supposed to be good for “gait” issues, even those with primary progressive. My BP is 138/84/63 at 10:45am.

UNION MEETING TONIGHT, can't wait!

I slept in this morning until 7:45am today after 8+hrs of sleep to a 3. I did get to the Beavers game last night. Round Rock soundly beat them but I had a great time but it was a late night for me. I was able to contact the Kaiser rep that should have been able to help get my co-payment money squared away, but she did say I was denied, but could appeal. I gave Lou her name and phone number and he said he would contact her, but she did say she would not share any information (Doctor patient privileged information). I thought I had their confusion straightened out and I did tell her (Angela) Lou would be contacting her. M.S., LDN and AMP REPORT

This is my attempt to keep track of my experiences with my LDN treatment for my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the 4.5mg, I think I'm noticeably better, I have changed when I take it to coincide with my noon regimen. I am experiencing better days and now that I'm doing the new dosage I am seeing a marked change. I have now been on that brand new FDA approved pill, Aminopyridine, even though I missed a few times, I am very pleased. It is supposed to be good for “gait” issues, even those with primary progressive. My BP is 116/74/60 at 11:50am.

As I mentioned earlier, seniors who fall in the "doughnut hole" in Medicare prescription drug coverage are already starting to get relief -- in the form of $250 checks -- to help cover the cost of prescriptions. Next year, prescription drug prices will be cut in half when seniors hit the doughnut hole, and, within ten years, the new law will have closed the gap completely.

Myth #1: Social Security is going broke.
Reality: There is no Social Security crisis.  By 2023, Social Security will have a $4.6 trillion surplus (yes, trillion with a 'T').  It can pay out all scheduled benefits for the next quarter-century with no changes whatsoever. After 2037, it'll still be able to pay out 75% of scheduled benefits—and again, that's without any changes. The program started preparing for the Baby Boomers' retirement decades ago. Anyone who insists Social Security is broke probably wants to break it themselves.

If you have been following my blog you must be aware that I am not the happiest with the actions or inactions of Congress or the President but I truly believe that in his year and a half he has got more done for me and working men and women of this country than has been accomplished in decades.

Based on what I've read he will be making a wonderful closer.
