DID YA MISS ME ??

May 19, 2013

PERSONAL:

If you have missed me because it's been weeks since I last reported. If you have been worried about my health, not to worry; I've just been busy and lazy. My health has been OK. I am posting today because I have been informed, I've been missed.

POLITICAL:

I have been watching C-Span and the “sequester” B.S. going on in D.C., and the talking heads this morning! As one that depends on Social Security and such, the Congress's inability to think of anyone but themselves absolutely infuriates me. The R's seem to have forgot who won the election last fall and the “Paul Ryan” budget is getting entirely too much consideration. I am a proud Irish Catholic, but he apparently has NEVER read or said the “prayer for all needs” by Pope Clement, why do so many in Congress consider themselves “Christians” but never seem to practice any form of Christianity?

BELIEF'S:

MY COOL IRISH SAYINGS ARE REPETITIVE, AGAIN.

And here is the eighth:

May the roof above us, never fall in; and may the friends gathered below it never fall out.

If we keep buying imports, where will our children work ?

IF YOU TELL YOURSELF A STORY LONG ENOUGH, PRETTY SOON YOU WILL HAVE YOURSELF BELIEVING IT. I am no longer a smoker, but that doesn’t seem to be working so well !!

The prayer, for all needs by Pope Clement of Rome: IT STILL APPEARS NONE OF THE REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS HAVE EVER READ IT.

We beg you, Lord, to help and defend us. Deliver the oppressed. Pity the insignificant. Raise the fallen. Show yourself to the needy. Heal the sick. Bring back those of your people who have gone astray. Lift up the weak. Take off the prisoners chains.

May every nation come to know that you alone are God, that Jesus is your Child, that we are Your people, the sheep that you pasture. Amen

For Brandee Pahut and her son, serving in Japan.

“Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.”

Prayer to St. Jude for Eternal Life

You are my solace, St. Jude, in the face of loss and sorrow. I pray that you will guide my heart away from the darkness of fear and into the light of Christ. May the hope that St. Jude keeps alive in my heart be a source of comfort to all those who grieve. For in that hope, we know God's mercy, and we trust God's promise of eternal life. My soul longs for the fullness of life, which is only to be revealed when I meet my Maker in heaven. Stay by my side, St. Jude, so that my soul will always know the power of your healing love. Amen.

My daily prayer, is to Mary Mother of God…..”O Most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer. As your children we implore your intercession with Jesus your Son. Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today. For sister Danni, nephews Steve & Daniel, cousin Dennise, cousin Brandee; protecting Christopher, Rhyon, Brandee, Amy and Rhett, and all in need, and the repose of the soul of Cousin Mary Ellen Jaques. We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. Help ALL of us, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever, Amen.”

COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:

I will be talking to Bobbie Monday to help me negotiate the Epilepsy Walk website, and I will try to make it, and join the “Epilepsy Slayers” on Fathers Day with Denise. Her team is called the “Epilepsy Slayers”, I hope you can help out.

The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program, and you can make a donation at the U.A. Credit Union, and those “Don't buy Imports”, bumper stickers seem to be helping

UNION REPORT:

I did make the Union Meeting Friday night, and lasted almost the whole way. :-)

I still have been, weather permitting, picketing the local B. of A. bank branch and still getting good responses.

I will combine a little politics’s with Union issues, because I have noticed some of my brother's appear to be against the President's Immigration proposal. I understand the trepidation of bringing more “immigrant”s, to fill the so called shortage of “skilled” workers but I also believe that getting the so-called “illegals” out of the shadow's, would break the “stranglehold” some employers have on their workforce; and make it easier to organize them.

SPORTS:

The Mariners, Felix Hernandez, is off to a great start and looks ready for another Cy Young season, in spite of his outing today.

FAMILY & A.O.H. REPORT :

The A.O.H. Meeting is next Tuesday and I will make every attempt to make it, I sure hope the weather cooperates.

It still appears I am one of the few “followers” on most of my blogs !

Bobbie, my blog is just 3 Pages and less than a 900+- words.

YES, I AM WELL

PERSONAL:

If you have missed me because it's been months since I last reported. If you have been worried about my health, not to worry; I've just been busy and lazy. My health has been OK. I am posting today, if this darn computer cooperates, because much has been going on, here at home at least.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:

Our annual M.S. Walk was a lot of fun even though our team was smaller, we did raise almost $3,000. My cousin Denise Hutzenbieler is walking in June for epilepsy, and I hope to join her team, but their web site is as hard to navigate as our M.S. Was. Her team is called the “Epilepsy Slayers”, I hope you can help out.
