January 4, 2014

PERSONAL:

If you have missed me because it's been months since I last reported. If you have been worried about my health, not to worry; I've just been busy, lazy and computer illiterate, but my lovely wife Judi has fixed that. My health has been OK, and I am looking forward to 2014, although 2013 will be a hard year to top.

POLITICAL:

I am still watching C-Span and the B.S. going on in D.C.. Congress's inability to think of anyone but themselves absolutely infuriates me. The R's seem to have forgot who won the last Presidential election and the “Paul Ryan” budget is stillgetting entirely too much consideration.

BELIEF'S:

MY COOL IRISH SAYINGS ARE REPETITIVE, AGAIN.

And here is the eighth:

May the roof above us, never fall in; and may the friends gathered below it never fall out.

If we keep buying imports, where will our children work ?

IF YOU TELL YOURSELF A STORY LONG ENOUGH, PRETTY SOON YOU WILL HAVE YOURSELF BELIEVING IT.

The prayer, for all needs by Pope Clement of Rome: IT STILL APPEARS NONE OF THE REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS HAVE EVER READ IT.

We beg you, Lord, to help and defend us. Deliver the oppressed. Pity the insignificant. Raise the fallen. Show yourself to the needy. Heal the sick. Bring back those of your people who have gone astray. Lift up the weak. Take off the prisoners chains.
May every nation come to know that you alone are God, that Jesus is your Child, that we are Your people, the sheep that you pasture. Amen
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.”
Prayer to St. Jude for Eternal Life

You are my solace, St. Jude, in the face of loss and sorrow. I pray that you will guide my heart away from the darkness of fear and into the light of Christ. May the hope that St. Jude keeps alive in my heart be a source of comfort to all those who grieve. For in that hope, we know God's mercy, and we trust God's promise of eternal life. My soul longs for the fullness of life, which is only to be revealed when I meet my Maker in heaven. Stay by my side, St. Jude, so that my soul will always know the power of your healing love. Amen.

My daily prayer, is to Mary Mother of God…..”O Most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer. As your children we implore your intercession with Jesus your Son. Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today. For sister Danni, nephews Steve & Daniel, cousin Dennise, cousin Brandee; protecting Christopher, Rhyon, Brandee, Amy and Rhett, and all in need, and the repose of the souls of those good friends and relatives no longer with us. We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. Help ALL of us, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever, Amen.”

COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:

I hope I am not too late to make our annual request for support for the M.S. WALK, to our e-board.

The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program, and you can make a donation at the U.A. Credit Union, and those “Don't buy Imports”, bumper stickers still seem to be helping.

UNION REPORT:

I haven't made the Union Meeting in a few months but this month I shall try extra hard.

I am not picketing the bank's anymore as we finally got our refinance done, but I still think many of those “Wall Street” bankers need to go to jail.

SPORTS:

It is now Basketball season, and the “BEST” team in the west still doesn’t get any respect. Of all those announcer's, the only thing bigger than his belly, is his mouth, yeah I'm talking about “the ROUND MOUND OF REBOUND; Charles Barkley.

FAMILY & A.O.H. REPORT :

The A.O.H. Meeting is the 14th and I will make every attempt to make it, Judi and I received our d.n.a. Breakdown and I am officially 78% Irish; I sure hope the weather cooperates on the 14th.

It still appears I am one of the few “followers” on most of my blogs !

Bobbie, my blog is just 3 Pages and less than a 800+- words.
