HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY !!

PERSONAL

I awoke this morning at 7:45am today after 9+hrs of sleep to a 3, took my pills and put out my flag. I will be short today as I will be meeting brother Mike for lunch and Judi is meeting sister Mary Botkin for lunch and to wish her a “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”. I will be getting to work on my “Endorsements” with MY reasons for my blog in the near future. I have been very busy with B. of A. and working on my refi.and surprisingly their estimate changed. Instead of combining 1st and 2nd and dropping my payments by $500 a month the best they could do was drop the payments by a couple hundred, but only if the appraisal came in at $325, which I told them to start with I didn't think that was realistic, right now. It was interesting that they told me if I did the 2nd at the same time I bought the house instead of when I got M.S. and retired I could save a lot more money. Even though the second was taken at the same time when we refinanced with them. I did email Grady to see if she can tell me if this “deal” is any good. After my visit I felt much like I was dealing with a “used car salesman”, no offense to used car salesmen. Maybe a call or email to the New Consumer Protection Bureau and the Czar appointed by the President is in order?

I did get my AOH newspaper and saw the Helena report on their fence building with a picture of cousin Bill and cousin Tom and the Newspaper also had a unite Ireland article. We decided to try to get the City and State to pass a resolution supporting “united Ireland”, similar to the ones passed around the Country and use the language of the one passed in San Francisco. I did remember to send an emaill to the council, but I think I forgot one of the Council members. Also don't forget, President Bill Gallager, as he had to go to San Francisco to tend to his failing health father. Please add him to your prayers.

The NWOLC and AFL-CIO also did a get out the vote, phone banks, this last week and will also later in October, help there if you can also. I will again suggest to all my Washington family and readers to consider an absentee ballot. If we get OUR vote out we will win.

I did redesign my front page with the picture of the Anaconda St. Paddy's day parade AOH banner. I will try to be less repetitive today as I understand my readers think I may have been too repetitive. I will ask you again, my faithful following, what YOU think I should drop?

I will keep the connection to the Komen Walk as I think they are still taking donations. I did hear from Patti at ATPA and she has left me hopeful my Kaiser issues may be on the road to resolution but I have not heard from Lou or got a copy of the letter the trust attorney was going to send. I did report to Senator Wydens representative at B.T. My Kitzhaber sign is now replaced in a safe spot, looking straight across the street at the Dud sign but I still need a Wyden sign to stare down that Huff sign over there. The Huff and Dud sign concern me because I don't remember that nice lady and family getting lawn sign active before. I finally got my Brent Barton sign delivered and up.

I still believe the U of O is ANTI-UNION, and it appears to me now that they are not alone. Keep up the heat.

Cousin Larry Pahut's, run off election is next month and he will also need more help. I think he has started legally campaigning. I will say thank you to any and all that helped. That would be a picture of our grandfather there on the right, John L. Monahan, L for Larry? His sister, Patty Ann Sullivan is his Campaign Manager and must have done a fine job. I actually did send him a check, and you can too. I would ask all to give what they can. (campaign H.Q. Are 400 Spruce, Anaconda, Montana 59711) Based on the fact he is in a run off they will probably still need more funds, maybe I'll get my checks from S.S. or Kaiser before November.

God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day, And when it comes to my last cast, I then must humbly pray. When in the Lord's safe landing net I'm peacefully asleep, that in His mercy, I be judged............Good enough to keep.

**** My daily prayer, is to Mary Mother of God…..”O Most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer. As your children we implore your intercession with Jesus your Son. Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today, the welcoming of Uncle Sandy, Frances's Mom and good friends Bob and Jim into the house of the Lord, for the safe return of nephew Christopher from Afghanistan; good family friend Pat Percin, cousin Larry Pahut in his endeavor to become the Deer Lodge County Justice of the Peace, cousin Mick, nephew Arron, Kelli's Mom, Bills Dad,, those who are having health issues; and all in need. We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. Help ALL of us, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever, Amen.”
Thank You, Mother Mary, for your help and assistance, especially for BRINGING DANIEL HOME SAFELY, and protecting Christopher; for the safe delivery of Brandee's new baby girl, Mick and Gloria; and those, NOW covered with Health Care.

I know I have been repeating things, apparently too much, on my blog; but some of this stuff I need to be reminded of and some of this stuff others need to be reminded of.

M.S. REPORT

This is my attempt to keep track of my experiences with my LDN treatment for my Neurologist and his RN. So far with the 4.5mg, I think I'm noticeably better, I have changed the LDN to coincide with my noon regimen. I am experiencing better days now that I'm doing the L.D.N.. I stopped taking that brand new FDA approved pill on August 27th, Aminopyridine but I spoke with a guy whose sister has M.S. (relapsing remitting I think) and I think she saw a marked change in her balance. She has gone from using a walker, to using a cane, to needing nothing. I understand it is supposed to be good for “gait” issues, even those with primary progressive. I did get my Primary Dr. to get some more Chiropractor visits and I did take a treatment yesterday that helped, I'm not sure if there are more than just today? My BP is 131/78/59 at 11:10am.

POLITICAL

I DID MAKE THE RE-ELECT RON WYDEN FOR SENATE PICNIC AT OAKS PARK, and thank you for the personal time and your quick response. I had your sign up and my KITZHABER one also, but the only one really visible is the Dr. John one. That jerk running against Senator Wyden and running those ads appears to be attacking Senator Wyden for voting to get those of US that make less than $250,000 a tax break.

Friend;

I come into this election with clear eyes.

I am proud of all we have achieved together, but I am mindful of all that remains to be done.

I know some out there are frustrated by the pace of our progress. I want you to know I'm frustrated, too.

But with so much riding on the outcome of this election, I need everyone to get in this game.

Neither one of us is here because we thought it would be easy. Making change is hard. It's what we've said from the beginning. And we've got the lumps to show for it.

The fight this fall is as critical as any this movement has taken on together. And if we are serious about change, we need to fight as hard as we ever have.

The very special interests that have stood in the way of change at every turn want to put their conservative allies in control of Congress. And they're doing it with the help of billionaires and corporate special interests underwriting shadowy campaign ads.

If they succeed, they will not stop at making our work more difficult -- they will do their best to undo what you and I fought so hard to achieve.

That's why I need you today to help inspire someone new to get off the bench and make their first donation to our 2010 campaign.

Donate $45 -- and we will match it with a supporter who is ready to make a first-time donation of their own.

I know that sometimes it feels like we've come a long way from the hope and excitement of the inauguration, with its "Hope" posters and historic crowds on the National Mall.

I will never forget it. But it was never why we picked up this fight.

I didn't run for president because I wanted to do what would make me popular. And you didn't help elect me so I could read the polls and calculate how to keep myself in office.

You and I are in this because we believe in a simple idea -- that each and every one of us, working together, has the power to move this country forward. We believed that this was the moment to solve the challenges that the country had ignored for far too long.

That change happens only from the bottom up. That change happens only because of you.

So I need you to fight for it over the next 26 days. I need your time. I need your commitment. And I need your help to get your friends and neighbors involved.

If you bring in a new donor today, your $45 donation will become $90. And our Vote 2010 campaign will have twice the resources to make important investments like putting staff on the ground, providing materials for volunteers, and turning out millions of voters come Election Day.

Please pledge $45 today -- and help get another supporter into the game:

If we meet this test -- if you, like me, believe that change is not a spectator sport -- we will not just win this election. In the years that come, we can realize the change we are seeking -- and reclaim the American dream for this generation.

Thank you for being a part of it,

President Barack Obama

I wonder if anyone checked with the Oregon Department of Revenue to confirm Dud paid state income taxes even for the income earned on away games. As we all know it has been a looooong time since I worked in the field, but it seems to me when a construction worker who lived in Washington and worked for an Oregon Contractor (employer) in Washington they did not have to pay Oregon Income taxes on those earnings.

If you have been following the YELLOW RIBBON section I do believe that is the same Larry Roberta I reported on when nephew Daniel came back from Iraq in those moving RE-ELECT U.S. CONGRESSMAN KURT SCHRADER ads and I am definitely one that would like to see him sent back to D.C..

CHECK OUT PAST BLOGS FOR THE Top 5 Social Security Myths. I am only going to list the first one from now on, as it is the biggest, as far as I'm concerned and I will save the space.

Myth #1: Social Security is going broke.
Reality: There is no Social Security crisis. By 2023, Social Security will have a $4.6 trillion surplus (yes, trillion with a 'T'). It can pay out all scheduled benefits for the next quarter-century with no changes whatsoever. After 2037, it'll still be able to pay out 75% of scheduled benefits—and again, that's without any changes. The program started preparing for the Baby Boomers' retirement decades ago. Anyone who insists Social Security is broke probably wants to break it themselves.

The nation's retirement deficit--the gap between your current pension/retirement savings and what you should have for retirement--is a staggering $6.6 trillion. Yet there are calls to cut Social Security, fewer people have pensions and 401(k)s have been decimated. It's time to wake up Washington and tell lawmakers to keep their hands off of Social Security and fix our patchwork private retirement system.

If you have been following my blog you must be aware that I am not the happiest with the actions or inactions of Congress or the President but I truly believe that in his year and a half he has got more done for me and working men and women of this country than has been accomplished in decades and I just can't believe there are polls out there that have the Democrats behind by 10 points for the fall elections. (John Bohener as Speaker of the house), could there possibly be that many people that want to go BACK to the BUSH years? (that is in this new Contract on America)

If your looking for that little piece that was forwarded from my Uncle Hank; you will have to check a past blog, “NO, HELL NO”!

LOCAL

LARRY PAHUT FOR DEER LODGE COUNTY, MONTANA JUSTICE OF THE PEACE.

BRENT BARTON FOR OREGON SENATE.

Kathy Roth for Oregon City Commissioner.

I did get 2 of my Cheryl Meyers for State Representative Lawn signs up and I hope having those 2 and 2 Mike Schauffler for State Representative signs in the yard doesn't confuse people, I imagine getting Ron's, John's and finally getting Brents signs up should alleviate that.

I did see where he was complaining that the Oregon minimum wage was too high. Lets see:
NBA MIN WAGE $400,000 divided by 82 games = $8,878.05 a game, a game it 48 minutes =101.63 per minute = $6,000+ hr = 813 min wage workers working. DOES A WASHINGTON RESIDENT (DUD), WORKING FOR AN OREGON EMPLOYER (TRAILBLAZERS) OUTSIDE OF OREGON (SEATTLE SONICS) HAVE TO PAY OREGON INCOME TAX ON THOSE EARNINGS?

Shouldn't elections at least be about the “CHARACTOR” of the candidates, not just how they will help or hurt us?

YELLOW RIBBON SECTION

NEPHEW CHRISTOPHER IS IN AFGHANISTAN STILL BUT SURE SOUNDED GOOD ON THE PHONE. Thank you for your service and you are in our prayers every day. It does appear our prayers are being heard.

SPORTS

I messed up; the Americans did not win the Ryder Cup, I guess they did need me!

It looks like the Mariners are done but maybe the Seahawks? They are looking pretty good.

Philly Pitcher Halladay went in the history books, one pitch from a “perfect” game yesterday.

PAC 10 ACTION SATURDAY, OREGON AND OREGON STATE BOTH WON AT HOME, THE DUCKS ARE STILL SCORING IN BASKETBALL POINTS SCORED FASHION, AND THANKS GIB FOR THAT GREAT PICTURE.

Mr. Angelos, sir, you may have your people keep an eye on that Mehrens kid that should be playing fall ball for the S. Cal Rangers, I have been trying to follow his progress on line and he definitely has the right stuff; based on what I've read he will be making a wonderful closer.
