I awoke this morning at 7am after just after 9+- hours of sleep, I awoke to a 3. I took my pill's at 7:15am. I awoke to just a 3 because and even with the VERY busy day yesterday, that ended really nice with our attendance at the “IRON MIKE SCHAUFLER FUNDRAISER” at Gloria'z and it was wonderfull. The turnout was GREAT and I think he raised a good deal of $. I'm not sure when I will post or have anything new because I may go to Salem, “THANK YOU DIANNA”, I teamed my B.D. Up with her's and she hit the 4spot with a 10 multiplier but Judi stubbed her little toe and is concerned it may be broke so I also may be talking her to Kaiser for an x-ray. :-( I will also repeat another greatfull THANK YOU TO SENATOR MERKLEY. I will repeat again it is that time of the year to begin saving up and requesting support for cousin Denise Hutzenbieler' up coming EPILEPSY Walk in Seattle, please check out my “community organizers and charities section”; ALL HELP APPRECIATED, I also found out that, along with so many other problem's, nephew Stevie and wife Katie have to deal with; she also suffers from epilepsy!!

I will put the prayers I have been posting again right here up front, especially for sister Danni; and thank you all for Rhyon, Christopher and now cousin Amy.

KAISER – M.S. REPORT:

My B.P. today is 128/80/65 at 9:30am, not so bad considering I've got to come up with $9,000+ for my federal taxes. I did also contact the Trust for help with the new bed that IS getting me a good night's sleep, and it sounds like they will attempt to help, although I am still waiting to hear from ATPA, I understand the issue is on the calender for the April Trust meeting again.

Putting Americans to Work in American Forests
In 2009, Jeff fought hard for funding for jobs in Oregon's forests as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to put unemployed Oregonians to work thinning our overgrown, choked second-growth forests. However, the companies hired to do the work evaded federal law to import cheap foreign workers, advertising for the jobs far from where the work was being done, then declaring there were no eligible Americans to do the work.

When Jeff learned about this outrage, he demanded answers from the Department of Labor, and recently partnered with Congressman Peter Defazio to introduce a bill that will fill the holes in the H-2B visa program so incidents like this one never happen again. The bill will force companies to work with the state's employment department to ensure there really are no Americans available before visas are granted. No one can say with a straight face there were not Oregonians ready and willing to work in the forests in 2009 and 2010.

RON WYDEN FOR UNITED STATES SENATOR FROM OREGON; I have considered him a personal friend for a few decades and his stands taken for us retiree's, woman’s right's; and fighting attempt of the r's to kill the Keystone pipeline, also putting the onus for getting our state forestry payment's back right in the pocket of congressman Greg Walden and the house of representatives! But I must also say I am very disapointed in both him and Governor John on their stand on that NEW LNG proposal at the coast, we need THOSE good job's also.

He is now OUR new congressman and his support for our military and his effectiveness in congress so far has brought the wrath of “bush's brain” carl rove and the tea party republican's tells he must be VERY effective. His door was always open to the concern's of any Portlander, and while I can not think of any disagreement's I might have had with him during his tenure; I do know I would have been able to reach him with them, and that Oregonian endorsement was absolutely right on, but it did appear to me that rag W.W. Did a real attack on you and the Oregonian did blow the endorsement for Mary Nolan.

MARY NOLAN FOR PORTLAND CITY COMMISSINONER ! For reasons too numerous to mention! And she was great at our last AOH meeting, and Charlie is going to need plenty of help on the council. (P.S. Thank you Commissioner Nick for your interest in my “BANKSTER” issues, and yes he has got the B. of A. president to respond to me, and I did get the letter from the President's office which basicly said they received Nick's letter and he gave me a couple of phone numbers at local B. of A. brances to call to see if I might “qualify” for another of “their” program's! )

MIKE SCHAUFFLER FOR OREGON STATE REPRESENTATIVE, HE WILL BE OUR NEW STATE REP. AND HIS FUNDRAISER AT THAT WONDERFULL LOCAL BISTRO, GLORIA'Z AT 132ND AND SUNNYSIDE, I BELIEVE WAS A RESOUDING SUCCESS, I ALSO TALKED TO HIM ABOUT A CONCERN I HAD, AND HE TOTALY ALLEVIATED IT.

MARTHA SCHRADER FOR CLACKAMAS COUNTY COMMISSIONER ! Because of her STRONG support for Oregon Military Members and their families while she was in the Oregon Legislature, and the fact She WILL be our representative on the Clackamas County Commission. I did hear from a number of my brother's in the Building Trades last night, that they also have some concern's, and maybe I will be able to get together with Martha; after she win's anyway !

The major changes that the Blazer's are making I must say they still greatly concern me, even though they have been looking better.
