I don't know if Jeff is getting the same e mail reports on his petition, but I've got four already, sorta makes up for my missing the Congressman's breakfast and President's picnic and fundraiser.
This is what I sent for Brother Jeff's petition, I will put the link (I hope) in the “Union Section”:
I am on disability. It wasn't my idea to get a broken neck. When I was filling for disability, I tried to get a job. I told perspective employers that Oregon will pay for 70% of the wages for me if they would hire me. Still, no one wanted to hire me. Sure helped out my self esteem a whole lot.
What Social Security does is look at your work history and wages to see if and how much you qualify for. If I hadn't of done very much work or work very long, I wouldn't qualify for peanuts.
Then to have people like Mitt Romney, via Bain Capital, robbing and stealing people's pension and this just isn't right. Then after they still their pensions, they wonder why we want social security while they are going after it. It seems like, because of the amount of money they have,
they would realize you need money to put a roof over your head and to put groceries on your table. It would also seem like, after the way Wall Street ruined our pension and 401k plans, that the last thing they would want is for Social Security to be privatized. Unless, the whole idea behind it is to steal our benefit money from Social Security the way they stole it from
our 401k and pension plans.
But instead, they call us greedy. Wall Street ruins our 401k and pension plans and because no bad deed goes unrewarded, they get a bail out. When we plan for our future by putting money in our pension and 401k plans, we see that no good deed goes unpunished. Wall Street is allowed to steal our money and then call us greedy beggars.
I (Jeff) started a petition to address the attack on Social Security. It is only a matter of time before some right wing idiot says we need to raise the retirement age to 100 and do away with the disability part of Social Security. Then say if that is done, Social Security will be solvent forever. Because I was encouraged to keep the petition as short as possible, I did the best I can. While I don't have a silver tongue or a silver pen, I don't think the petition turned out to bad and I hope you sign it.
I am slowly in the process of designing my own “for profit” business. “WALLY'S LIST”, and I did try to get in touch with Good Friend and W.O.W. Woman Liz Schuler on face book to make sure I get it right.
I am still working on correcting mistakes, not all of these are mine you know!
IT STILL APPEARS I NEED AN ELECTRICIAN AS THE POWER IN THE KITCHEN WENT AWAY AGAIN :-( .
I awoke this morning at 6am to a 2+, after 9+- hours of sleep. My B.P. was 153/82/63 at 6:30am, high I think because I also took a bottle of 5 hour energy, shortly after my pills at 6:15am. I did send off a few questions to Kaiser regarding my pill regimen and the energy drink, waiting to hear from my primary care Dr., I know there are side effect's, but I am getting concerned I am going crazy, and getting more depressed, maybe it's not just the pills, but a combination of issues; electronics (my damn phone, my computer, my Skype) and maybe it was that sun spot explosion reaching us here on earth.
I will put the prayers I
have been posting again right here up front, especially for sister

to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your care and
intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or
hurting. Help ALL of us, to bear our burdens in this life until we

Is it wrong to expect
of others, what they expect of you ? When does a mistake become a
lie? Which lie is worse, one that someone else tells you, or the one
you tell yourself? How many times do you have to bang your head
against the wall before you realize all your going to get is a
massive headache? After going back over those 1,100+ blogs, and
reading most of the comments, and needing to get back to my book; I
think I may try a little poetry. I did e mail both Greg and Cory to
see if those oral histories might be complete before the family
arrives from Montana next Month.
POLITICAL:
I did return the book to the church
library last night after Mass, “BECOMING MORE LIKE CHRIST”; it
is a basic guide to daily prayer and meditation and it has been
uncanny in the assistance it has given me almost daily. I still
think all those, so called, Christians in congress could use a copy
of that library book!
I
must also say we have much to do before the November elections, but I
will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear we will have a
real coordinated campaign this year. THANK YOU ASHLEY.

I BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST
WAS THE FIRST “TRUE” COMMUNIST, BECAUSE I BELIEVE HE WAS THE
FIRST TO SAY; EVERYTHING “BELONGS” TO EVERYONE. In that same
vain does that not include healthcare? When I went to confession I
told the priest I was disturbed at the stand the church was taking on
the National Health Care debate and he actually included it in his
homily.
ARE “ALL” WOMEN & UNION

I did find out from Barbara Smith Warner at Building Trades that Senator Wyden will be in State most of August; it maybe a good time to invite him to the Hall.
We need to remember Brother Jimmy Walters, Brother Bill Edens (who looked pretty good at the retiree meeting); and Brother Sonny Newsom who are recovering from surgeries and Brother Jim Zettlow who is fighting Mesothelioma, and brother Dennis Hutzenbieler who is doing well and heading off to a wedding in Anaconda, for speedy and successful recoveries so please add them to your prayers, and the family of Brother Jack Sundstrom.

I DID HAVE A NICE TALK WITH LARRY PAHUT AND HE FILLED ME IN ON HIS DAUGHTERS AMY AND BRANDEE, AND THAT THEY ARE BOTH GETTING READY FOR DEPLOYMENT, ONE TO JAPAN AND ONE TO KUWAIT, GOD BLESS AND PROTECT THEM. DANIEL DID TELL ME THAT WHILE KUWAIT WAS HOTTER THAN IRAQ, IT WAS SAFER.
I AM OFFICIALLY AN OLD PERSON, “GREY PANTHER, 62” ON JULY 28TH, I CAN TELL BECAUSE I AM REALLY GETTING GRUMPY, BUT IF YOU DARE; WE ARE HAVING A GATHERING HERE FROM NOON TO 4PM. GONNA MISS BOBBIE AND DENNIS THOUGH, AS THEY HAVE A WEDDING TO GO TO; AND MAYBE DANIEL ALSO?
