**** MAJOR CHANGES, STARTING TODAY****

PERSONAL:


I awoke this morning at about 6:30am and awoke to a 2+. Then took my am pills (11) at 7:15am. I then napped until about about 9:30am and took my five hour energy at 9:45am. I took B.P. At 10:15am and it was 174/84/66. I will attempt to post this morning and will have many changes, including the idea that I will be going to posting just weekly. I have my appointment with my neurologist this afternoon, and I have much to discuss especially about my “screwy dream” pills.

You will notice I have changes in my hero list. I have added senator John Tester of Montana, and Senator Al Franken of Minnesota. I have made these changes for two very important reasons. Senator Tester, I believe supports the export of the abundance of coal Montana has for export, which could create thousands of new jobs in his home state as well as Oregon. Senator Al Franken because I believe he supports the efforts to expand and export potentially large natural gas from his state of Minnesota, that should create good paying (with healthcare) jobs from Minnesota even to Oregon; maybe. Also, while watching C-span one day and he was acting President of the Senate, and senator Boner stood up for his five minute B.S. speech that is a regular occurrence, but you must start by saying “without objection”, and there generally is no one in the chamber, he had the GUTS to say, “I OBJECT” !




POLITICAL:




I support Mary Nolan over Amanda Fritz for the Portland City Council for a few reasons. A) I am a construction worker and she is attempting to stop the “coal exports” which would mean MANY jobs, construction and Shipyards and a lot of her constituents work in the yards, both the shipyards and the train yards. B) I am Irish Catholic and she is English, with a relative in the English parliament, and I think most know what the English have done to keep Ireland from becoming the free country it should be.


I did get one of my Obama Biden signs up, so far no one has messed with it, no tomatoes or anything. I still haven't got my Clackamas County signs.


If I sell you a car and I lie I can be sued, If I try to sell you a political Idea and LIE, that IS just business as usual ! THE “GRANGE” IS BIGGER THAN ???% OF THE CASINO'S IN LOS VEGAS ! ISN'T EVERY BAR, RESTURANT, AIRPORT AND MAYBE EVEN CLEANERS IN LAS VEGAS CONSIDERED A COASINO ? DO YOU SUPPOSE THEY ALL CREATED GOOD JOBS WITH HEALTH CARE ?


CONGRATULATIONS CHARLIE HALES ON YOUR LOCAL 290, AND IBEW 48 ENDORSEMENTS. I thought you did well in the second debate.


SENATOR WYDEN, WE STILL NEED THOSE GOOD UNION JOBS ON THE PIPELINE AND COAL TERMINALS ! AND THE PORTLAND CITY COUNCIL COULD SURE STOP TRYING TO SLOW EVERYTHING DOWN, MANY OF THOSE GOOD JOBS WOULD ACTUALLY GO TO MEN AND WOMEN IN NORTH PORTLAND AMANDA ! I had a good conversation with Barbara Smith Warner and she told me Senator Wyden would be in town in October and maybe we can get him out to the hall, the PAC meeting is on October 15th 6pm.

The Vice Presidential Debate tonight and should be well worth taping and should drop the unemployment rate again, just for the number of “fact checkers” hired. :-)

I must also say we have much to do before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear we will have a real coordinated campaign this year, and from what everyone is saying, we better. THANK YOU ASHLEY.

I received another fundraiser letter, and receipt from my previous donation; from Congressman Schrader and I will put his e mail address in here so you can help fight the “Rove Billions” ! And sign his petition to get us out of Afghanistan. And I also understand his lawn signs are ready.

Philosophy:



JUDI DID FIND ME A COOL IRISH SAYINGS BOOK THAT I WILL START ADDING HERE.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:


Cousin Daniel's “Monster Bash” is going to be held at U.A. Local 290 on October 27th at 6pm benefiting the Oregon National Guard, and they are still looking for donations, thank you Ed Ellis from the BULL SESSION for you generous donation, and you too Dr. Finley.


And brother Glen Schuck and the Oregon Military Support Network (O.M.S.N.) spaghetti feed fundraiser will be held November 17th 6pm, $8.00, at Grace Pointe Church, Helm Hall, 10750 Se 42nd ave. in Milwaukie; and they are also looking for donations, contact oregonmilitarysupportnetwork.org


The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, The President and our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. and based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs and picking Paul Ryan means they are locked and loaded.


The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program, and you can make a donation at the U.A. Credit Union, and those “Import” bumper stickers seem to be helping



UNION REPORT:



SENATOR WYDEN, AND PORTLAND CITY COMMISIONER FRITZ, WE NEED THOSE GOOD UNION JOBS ON THE PIPELINE AND COAL TERMINALS, SENATOR WYDEN WHEN YOUR IN TOWN IN OCTOBER MAYBE WE CAN GET TOGETHER, AT THE 3RD MONDAY (October 15th, 6pm) PAC MEETING MAYBE!


We need to remember Brothers Jimmy Walters, Brother Bill Edens, Brother Sonny Newsom, who according to his stepson Wade, the BARBEQUER EXTRODINAIRE, is doing better.
