***IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE 20+ YEARS DAD***

PERSONAL:


I awoke this morning at about 7am and awoke to a 2+. I then took my am pills (11) at 7:45am, then took my energy shot at about 9am. I took B.P. at 9:15am and it was 166/94/65. I realize I haven't posted in a long time and believe it or not I have received a number of e mails showing concern on why I haven't posted but I will attempt to post this morning as I want to catch the talking heads today. I missed a lot to post so I have lots of catching up to do. One of the important things missed posting was the 20th anniversary since we lost Dad and my reports on MY interpretations of the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates. I still haven't taken my quilt to the laundry yet either. I hope to post this morning and it WILL be a short one.





POLITICAL:


GET YOUR BALLOT'S IN !!


I support Mary Nolan over Amanda Fritz for the Portland City Council for a few reasons. A) I am a construction worker and Commissioer Fritz is attempting to stop the “coal exports” which would mean MANY jobs, construction and Shipyards and a lot of her constituents work in the yards, both the shipyards and the train yards. B) I am Irish Catholic and she is English, with a relative in the English parliament, and I think most know what the English have done to keep Ireland from becoming the free country it should be.


I did get one of my Obama Biden sign up, so far no one has messed with it, no tomatoes or anything. But I still haven't got my Clackamas County signs.


I will say I did get the recommendations from the local, and while I did follow most suggestions I did not follow all of them and I did get the Oregon Family Council recommendations from church, and it really appeared the questions and ratings were all done by republicans, and I did tell my pastor that they definitely did conflict with my beliefs.


We have only two days before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear there is a real coordinated campaign this year.

IF YOU TELL YOURSELF A STORY LONG ENOUGH, PRETTY SOON YOU WILL HAVE YOURSELF BELIEVING IT. I am no longer a smoker, but that dosen't seem to be working so well !!


If at first you don't succeed, try, try again; at least twice anyway.


Especially for my “Republican, so called Christian” friends !

COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:



Cousin Daniel's “Monster Bash” was a blast.


Brother Glen Schuck and the Oregon Military Support Network (O.M.S.N.) spaghetti feed fundraiser will be held November 17th 6pm, $8.00, at Grace Pointe Church, Helm Hall, 10750 Se 42nd ave. in Milwaukie; and they are also looking for donations, contact oregonmilitarysupportnetwork.org


The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, The President and our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. and based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs and picking Paul Ryan means they are locked and loaded.


The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program, and you can make a donation at the U.A. Credit Union, and those “Import” bumper stickers seem to be helping




UNION REPORT:



I just talked to cousin Billy to get straight the V.O.C. and P.A.C. Meeting nights this month.


We need to remember Brothers Jimmy Walters, Brother Bill Edens, Brother Sonny Newsom, who according to his stepson Wade, the BARBEQUER EXTRODINAIRE, is doing better.




SPORTS:



THE DUCKS ARE STILL KICKING BUTT, but they sure are not getting the respect they deserve from the BCS ! AND WHILE MY ORIOLES WERE BEATEN BY THE YANKEE'S (ONLY WITH THE HELP FROM THEIR FARM TEAM, THE SEATTLE MARINERS) BUT THE TIGERS SHOWED THEM YOU CAN'T BUY A CHAMPIONSHIP !




FAMILY & A.O.H. REPORT :


I STILL HATE THIS COMPUTER, AND STILL NEED AN ELECTRICIAN.


I AM GOING TO RUN FOR A.O.H. PRESIDENT THIS YEAR.

I DID UPDATE THE MEHRENS MONAHAN BLOG, I HOPE; AND PUT IN THE PRAYER TO SAINT JUDE FOR UNCLE HANK, hopefully.


It still appears I am one of the few “followers” on most of my blogs !
