I slept in this morning until 8am, and after 10+ hours of sleep I awoke to a 3 with a stuffy head, I took my am pills and an alkaseltzer and proceeded to get ready for our family gathering at Danni's this afternoon. I am probably not going to be posting for a few day's now because I've got Danni's today Peg and Eric tomorrow, Dr. Finley Monday and then Judi's B.D. Tuesday and Wednesday. Most all from here on I want to wish all a 1) HAPPY HANUKA, 2) MERRY CHRISTMAS 3) HAPPY KWANZA 3) HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDI. I am not sure I will even have much of a new post today. I am going to get on the horn and see if Rhyon can do the prep for apprenticeship while he is in Hawaii waiting to get out. I will say THANK YOU again for the member's support of the “2012 M.S. WALK” save the date April 14th 2012, and we are going to have to start counting the volunteers that will be walking with us. I did call Dr. Finley to order some more Mynax but I will call him again today and see if I can get a treatment also. The yo-yo continues, the DOW finished up almost 125 yesterday and the “WALL STREET, BANKSTERS demonstrations continue, and many “other” organization's seem to be trying to take over the message; and while it has been really cold this last week I did get a few hours in. I still believe that the Credit Unions should get together and have a “C.U.M.O.” Credit Unions are Member Owned, gathering around the City. and the city should BILL the Banks for the Cities clean up costs, with some sort of “Business License fee” to pay for the clean up; and I did send this suggestion to Mayor Adams. SHOCK OF ALL SHOCKS, Commissioner Fritz was supporting the “occupiers” right to protest, so far anyway, it's alright here but apparently not in Ireland. I did hear that Commissioner Fritz voted against the “jobs” Columbia River Crossing project.

My flier for the local branches of Wells Fargo, Chase and Citibank, have been very popular at the union, the AFL-CIO rally downtown; and their local branches.

I have ordered MY issue of the “History of the AOH in America”, I still have to respond to their request.

OUR LAST AOH MEETING WAS GREAT, AND WE HAD A GREAT DISCUSSION ON WHICH POLITICAL PARTY IN IRELAND WE MIGHT BELONG TO IF WE WERE RESIDENTS AND VOTERS. WE ALSO FOUND OUT GERALD IS OPENING ANOTHER KELL'S AT 21ST AND EVERETT, BUT I THINK IT WILL JUST BE BREW PUB AND SPORTS BAR, AND OUR NEXT MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY JANUARY 17TH.

I still think we need a few OREGONIANS on Father McManus's “Congressional Friends” list. We must never forget the Ballymurphy Massacre of 1971, (40 years searching for justice). We need to realize along with a number of Irish Catholic's, including a priest that were assassinated that day there were also a number of Northern Irish Protestants. This battle for justice that is being waged here in the U.S.A. by father McManus is also being waged in Belfast Northern Ireland by a heroic Belfast protestant named Raymond McCord Sr., whose son was also assassinated. I have received Father McManus's book and it was signed by our New Assistant G.P., and I now have a better understanding of commissioner Fritz's racist Animosity towards the Irish and apparently New Jersey has it's own racist. I did send Father McManus a check to join his efforts and he sent me a thank you and I am now a Congressional friend of Father McManus, and yes Holmie, I do have your letter to join.

I do have MY signed copy of from Belmullet to Anaconda and it is super cool, and based on what cousin Dan found out about the Monahan's, and what I was told about the Mehrens's (Gramma Bossie - a Wallace)being from Tuam, north of Galway also Bab's and Mernie's kids and Mom and Dad's kids may share more gene's than we even thought, and I have begun to update my Mehrens/Monahan blog!

SPORTS:

I ALSO THINK maybe we (AOH) can get an “Irish Appreciation Night” fundraiser at Jeld Wen field, and that would go a long way to having the funds for future actions, and they did announce they were increasing the capacity.
