IT'S NOW CALLED WALLY'S RAT PATROL

PERSONAL & PROPAGANDA:

I awoke this morning at 8;45am after 10 hours of sleep and awoke to a 3-, with a little back pain. and took my am pills. The change continues. I will post relatively early with just a few changes, as I have still to get to work on my other blogs, I did get a start on my “Organizers Roundtable” yesterday and changed the name to Wally's Rat Patrol, so far it is just set up; but can be reached from my main page. My BP is 144/81/63 at 10:15am. I didn't get posted yesterday but we did get to meet Sue and Bruce Temple for dinner at Gustav's down by Kaiser and it sure was good to see them both again, and I went to CPBT yesterday at 8am and did put my outline out. I also met with an intern from the Oregon Historical Society, they are putting together a “Labor History” program and interviewing various Labor Leaders. I am changing to posting this (My personal) blog to just Monday, Wednesday and Friday; (My Mehrens/Monahan) blog Thursday and Saturday; and (The O.R.T.- Now Wally's Rat Patrol) Blog Tuesday and (whatever) on Sunday. So today it will be a short one with many sections missing again. I should also get an email from the intern doing the “Labor History” intern on Friday and he will be coming by the house next Tuesday afternoon for more information for a “Labor History” report being put together by a professor at Lewis and Clark College, Thanks bunches Nellie and Ed; and I am sureI will definitely enjoy it. I did watch friend Bruce Broussard's Voters Digest Sunday night and then watched finally watched the V.I.P. CD and it was great and I will try to get with him to show it also and I did get an email from Michelle and she is leaving the O.M.S.N. So Glenn will be my/our contact for awhile, it should be helpful when I share it with the O.M.S.N. when I make their next meeting. I will be moving some stuff from the other sections up to here, because, after all: it is mostly “personal and propaganda”. I have taken the link for the Komen Walk off the front page but I think they will still take donations if you check a past blog with the link. I did check the DOW first thing and it is up slightly and the “WALL STREET, BANKSTERS demonstrations continue.

WHY IS IT WHEN YOU ARE DIAGNOSED WITH M.S. PEOPLE BELIEVE YOU HAVE NO MEMORY, AND CAN'T HEAR.

POLITICAL:

That Demonstration in N.Y. City against the Banksters was absolutely great ! And there is a lot of buzz on line about what many are doing to get even with them, some of which sound pretty good. I did see the demonstrations continue, all over the country. YEA !! (IF YOUR GOING, TAKE ALONG SOME VOTER REGISTRATION CARDS)

CALIFORNIA, BUT I DID HEAR HE BROKE HIS LEG; (I did have a text conversation with him yesterday and even though he isstill in a lot of pain he did sound pretty good) BUT THE PRESIDENT DID SAY HE WOULD BEGIN DRAWING DOWN TROOPS SOON. AOH REPORT:

This is my short report on the “Unite Ireland” issue. I am going to put the “Portland AOH” facebook page in here in the future, and just leave it at that.

I still think we need a few OREGONIANS on Father McManus's “Congressional Friends” list. We must never forget the Ballymurphy Massacre of 1971, (40 years searching for justice). We need to realize along with a number of Irish Catholic's, including a priest that were assassinated that day there were also a number of Northern Irish Protestants. This battle for justice that is being waged here in the U.S.A. by father McManus is also being waged in Belfast Northern Ireland by a heroic Belfast protestant named Raymond McCord Sr., whose son was also assassinated. I have received Father McManus's book and it was signed by our New Assistant G.P., and I now have a better understanding of commissioner Fritz's Animosity. I did send Father McManus a check to join his efforts and he sent me a thank you and I am now a Congressional friend of Father McManus, and I need to get 2 more for Brother brother Holmes.

SPORTS:

I did see that the Portland Timbers are selling individual tickets, and maybe we (AOH) can get an “Irish Appreciation Night fundraiser at Jeld Wen field?

I seems like the weather finally made up it's mind on whether summer is sticking around, but it is supposed be a little damp for a while; and I hope to have some golf, and PICKETING weather.

My baseball reports will be limited to, the Playoffs now that my Orioles knocked out the Red Sox :-); and wait till next year for the Cubs.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:

The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. And based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs at least for the next 2 years.

AT THE LAST 290 MEETING EVERYONE WAS IN FULL CAMPAIGN MODE, SO MUCH SO MANY MEMBERS COULD NOT SEE A GOOD IDEA THAT WAS BROUGHT UP, THEY SEEMED MORE CONCERNED WITH WHO'S IDEA IT WAS, WELL DONE AL FOR UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCE.

IT PAINS ME TO SAY THIS, BUT IT APPEARS A COUPLE OF OUR LONGTIME UNION CONTRACTOR'S ARE OPERATING LIKE THE BIGGER NON UNION CONTRACOR'S. STEVE, I AM NOT SURE IF JIM WOULD EVEN RECOGNIZE THE COMPANY HE BUILT.

Al Schropshire contacted me and asked to put my endorsement for Business Manager on his election web page, I told him I would be honored and he gave me one of his fliers; WELL DONE. I am more convinced than ever he is the right person for the job. His statement to me that he was running for the membership, not running AGAINST LOU, showed me a lot of class.
