I slept in this morning until 8:45am, after 9+ hours of sleep and awoke to a 3; and took my am pills. The change continues. I did get to the CPBT E-BD today that's why I'm posting so late. I did get myself in a little trouble this morning when I invited all to Al's fundraiser at Gloria'z because, as it was explained to me after that; we should not get the Council involved in Local Union Politic's; My apologies to all but what is done is done. The union meeting Friday night was quite the interesting meeting. I still have to check Al's face book page, as he put a post about our fundraiser at Gloria'z. I have updated My Rat Patrol blog, my Mehrens/Monahan blog, and I did get things square for our “silent auction” for Al at Gloria'z on the 29th and would ask all that can, to attend and I posted an invite on the our 290 face book page and please bring something for the auction and I will put his facebook page in the Local Union Section. I did send around that Wikipedia site on Monahans Texas that Judi found for me and I did get an email and attachment yesterday from cousin Dan and he is ready to publish his book, I now need to get the information to my Family Member email list. The “WALL STREET, BANKSTERS demonstrations continue, and I hope to make the gathering tommorrow night at Director Park downtown. It looks like good turnouts continue here in Portland and, SHOCK OF ALL SHOCKS, Commissioner Fritz was supporting their right to protest, it's alright here but apparently not in Ireland; based on the news the protest's are spreading around the world, and I did hear that Commissioner Fritz voted against the “jobs” Columbia River Crossing project, I guess I better get that Mary Nolan check in the mail.

I put together a flier for the local branches of Wells Fargo and Citibank, and it was very popular at the meeting Friday night, and today; but I haven't got to the local branches here in Clackamas yet.

The Demonstrations in N.Y. City against the Banksters are absolutely great ! And there is a lot of buzz on line about what many are doing to get even with them, some of which sound pretty good. I still think we need a few OREGONIANS on Father McManus's “Congressional Friends” list. We must never forget the Ballymurphy Massacre of 1971, (40 years searching for justice). We need to realize along with a number of Irish Catholic's, including a priest that were assassinated that day there were also a number of Northern Irish Protestants. This battle for justice that is being waged here in the U.S.A. by father McManus is also being waged in Belfast Northern Ireland by a heroic Belfast protestant named Raymond McCord Sr., whose son was also assassinated. I have received Father McManus's book and it was signed by our New Assistant G.P., and I now have a better understanding of commissioner Fritz's racist Animosity towards the Irish. I did send Father McManus a check to join his efforts and he sent me a thank you and I am now a Congressional friend of Father McManus.

I ALSO THINK maybe we (AOH) can get an “Irish Appreciation Night fundraiser at Jeld Wen field, and that would go a long way to having the funds for future actions.

SPORTS:

My baseball reports will be limited to, the Playoffs now that my Orioles knocked out the Red Sox :-), wait till next year for the Cubs. The tigers are out but the Cardinals are in.
