***FOUR MORE YEARS, FOR MOM IN CHIEF !***

SEPTEMBER 5, 2012




PERSONAL:


I did wake up at 7:15am, and took my am pills and then went back and napped until after after 9am. I did awake to a 2+, after 10+- hours of sleep. I am still taking my “screwy dream” pill (ariset) in the morning, with the permission of my neurologist but the dreams still persist, but they are not quite as bad. I took my B.P. at about 10:30am and I am back here in the computer room to get hooked up and checking my email. My B.P. Was 1129/81/60 at 11:15am. I did watch Michelle Obama's speech at the Democratic Convention, and I for one am totally sold on keeping her in as “First Mom” for four more years. I was going to tune in to Fox, but her speech left me with such a high I didn't want to listen to any more republican talking points. And that Current TV channel investigative reporter researching Ro-money and the Mormon Church was still on my mind. He went and interviewed an Evangelical couple (Tea Par tiers) in Iowa who didn't really believe Mormons were Christians, and if the choice was between Ro-money and Osama, (their words not mine) they wouldn't vote, GOOD !


I am still working on correcting mistakes, AND NOT ALL OF THESE ARE MINE YOU KNOW!


IT STILL APPEARS I NEED AN ELECTRICTAN AS THE POWER IN THE KITCHEN IS STILL GONE :-( .




POLITICAL:



The Democrats start having Michelle Obama ( FOUR MORE YEARS AS MOM IN CHIEF ! )keynote yesterday was absolutely awesome. I still think a “debt clock” that shows the debt increase, just since the republicans scuttled the PRESIDENT OBAMA PLAN”would be well received, being the republicans started their convention with the “debt clock” on the wall so all delegates could see it.


I must also say we have much to do before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear we will have a real coordinated campaign this year, and from what everyone is saying, we better. THANK YOU ASHLEY.

Congressman Schrader also did well at the picnic. I also received a fundraiser letter from Congressman Schrader and I will put his e mail address in here so you can help fight the “Rove Billions” ! And sign his petition to get us out of Afghanistan. And I also understand his lawn signs are ready.

Philosophy:



IF YOU TELL YOURSELF A STORY LONG ENOUGH, PRETTY SOON YOU WILL HAVE YOURSELF BELIEVING IT. I am no longer a smoker !!

No matter how bad you think things are for you, and it pains me to say it, but; it's worse for many others, right here in the so-called “richest” country in the world, and it will be worse under a ro-money/ryan presidency.


I will put the prayers I have been posting again right here up front again, especially the repose of the soul of Uncle Hank, and for sister Danni, brother Gil. And thank you all for Rhyon, Christopher, cousin Amy, cousin Brandee and soon, nephew Rhett..


“Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.”

FOR THE FAMILY OF UNCLE HANK BURGESS a Prayer to St. Jude for Eternal Life

You are my solace, St. Jude, in the face of loss and sorrow. I pray that you will guide my heart away from the darkness of fear and into the light of Christ. May the hope that St. Jude keeps alive in my heart be a source of comfort to all those who grieve. For in that hope, we know God's mercy, and we trust God's promise of eternal life. My soul longs for the fullness of life, which is only to be revealed when I meet my Maker in heaven. Stay by my side, St. Jude, so that my soul will always know the power of your healing love. Amen.

My daily prayer, is to Mary Mother of God…..”O Most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer. As your children we implore your intercession with Jesus your Son. Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today. For sister Danni, nephews Steve & Daniel, cousin Dennis, sister Mary and Aunt Mary, brother Gil and those who are having health issues; protecting Christopher, Rhyon, Brandee, Amy and Rhett, and all in need, and the repose of the soul of Uncle Hank Burgess. We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. Help ALL of us, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever, Amen.”


I did return the book to the church library, “BECOMING MORE LIKE CHRIST”; it is a basic guide to daily prayer and meditation and it has been uncanny in the assistance it has given me almost daily. I still think all those, so called, Christians in congress, especially V.P. Candidate Paul Ryan; could use a copy of that book!


I BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST WAS THE FIRST “TRUE” COMMUNIST, BECAUSE I BELIEVE HE WAS THE FIRST TO SAY; EVERYTHING “BELONGS” TO EVERYONE. In that same vain, doesn't that include healthcare?


ARE “ALL” WOMEN & UNION MEMBERS THAT ARE REPUBLICANS JUST STUPID ?”
(rhetorical question), THAT MEANS, I KNOW THE ANSWER.




COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:



SAVE THE DATE, OCTOBER 17, FOR AN OREGON NATIONAL GUARD FUNDRAISER, HOLLOWEEN PARTY, 6pm AT THE 290 HALL IN TUALATIN; ALL DONATIONS APPRECIATED, and the responses seem to be coming in good.


The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, The President?, and our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. And based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs and picking Paul Ryan means they are locked and loaded.


The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program; and you can even make a donation through the U.A. Credit Union, and I did win one of the “BULL SESSION” drawings at the last Union meeting and told Dave S. to give it to Justin May and now I need to call Ed Ellis to ask him to use my 1st installment as an auction donation starter for Justin at the dinner Auction.




UNION REPORT:



VOLUNTEER ORGANIZING COMMITTEE MEETING TOMORROW NIGHT AT THE HALL, 6:30pm, G.L.W.A.C.D.R.; I HOPE TO MAKE IT.

We need to remember Brothers Jimmy Walters, Brother Bill Edens, brother Dennis Hutzenbieler, (who looked pretty good at Kara's wedding), Brother Sonny Newsom, brother Gil Freeland for their speedy and successful recoveries who are recovering from surgeries, and I saw Gil Labor Day and he looked great.

WELL THE MARINERS ARE MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, UT THEY HAVE STUMBLED THE LAST TWO OF THE LAST FOUR GAMES.
