***KAISER PERMANENTE MAKES IT TRULY HARD TO THRIVE !***

SEPTEMBER 1, 2012



PERSONAL:


I pretty much slept around the clock and didn't wake up until after 9am, took my am pills at 9:30am and then went back and napped until after 11am. I then awoke and drank a five hour energy. I think my “fatigue” is because Kaiser's web site is screwed up and they don't even have the ritalin on my list of prescriptions. I notified my neurologist and received a message back from “his team” with an unacceptable answer. Their ad's say “pick Kaiser and Thrive”, well they are sure making it harder and harder to “THRIVE” ! I awoke to a 2, after 12+- hours of sleep. I took my “screwy dream” pill (ariset) in the morning, with the permission of my neurologist but the dreams still persist. I had some pain in my hip and put some biofreeze on it and then went back to bed until 11ish. I am not sure when I will post because I do not plan on getting out of my sweats until it's time for Mass. I am taping the PSU/CARROLL game and will watch it later. I have my bumper stickers for the Labor Day picnic and Judi did remember to put out the flag this morning as I did forget yesterday. I took my B.P. at about 1pm and I am back here in the computer room to get hooked up and checking my email. My B.P. was 136/94/52 at 12:45pm. If I am lucky I will post this afternoon, but I never know?


I am still working on correcting mistakes, AND NOT ALL OF THESE ARE MINE YOU KNOW!


IT STILL APPEARS I NEED AN ELECTRICTAN AS THE POWER IN THE KITCHEN IS STILL GONE :-( .




POLITICAL:



The Democrats should start their convention with a “debt clock” that shows the debt increase just since the republicans scuttled PRESIDENT OBAMA PLAN”! Republicans started their convention with the “debt clock” on the wall so all delegates could see it, maybe the Democrat's should have one at theirs that just showed it clicking since THEY scuttled the President Obama plan.


I must also say we have much to do before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear we will have a real coordinated campaign this year, and from what everyone is saying, we better. THANK YOU ASHLEY.

I also received a fundraiser letter from Congressman Schrader and I will put his e mail address in here so you can help fight the “Rove Billions” ! And sign his petition to get us out of Afghanistan. And I also understand his lawn signs are ready.

Philosophy:


IF YOU TELL YOURSELF A STORY LONG ENOUGH, PRETTY SOON YOU WILL HAVE YOURSELF BELIEVING IT. I am no longer a smoker !!


No matter how bad you think things are for you, and it pains me to say it, but; it's worse for many others, right here in the so-called “richest” country in the world, and it will be worse under ro-money/ryan.


IF YOU CONTINUE TO BUY IMPORTS, WHERE WILL OUR CHILDREN WORK? That is a great bumper sticker, and I hope I remember to take them to both the Labor Day and 290 picnics; I hope to raise funds for L.C.S.A. and the Local 290 Member assistance programs.


I will put the prayers I have been posting again right here up front again, especially the repose of the soul of Uncle Hank, and for sister Danni, brother Gil. And thank you all for Rhyon, Christopher, cousin Amy, cousin Brandee and soon, nephew Rhett..

For sister Danni, nephews Steve & Daniel, cousin Dennis, sister Mary and Aunt Mary, brother Gil and those who are having health issues; protecting Christopher, Rhyon, Brandee, Amy and Rhett, and all in need, and the repose of the soul of Uncle Hank Burgess. We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. I did return the book to the church library, “BECOMING MORE LIKE CHRIST”; it is a basic guide to daily prayer and meditation and it has been uncanny in the assistance it has given me almost daily. I still think all those, so called, Christians in congress, especially V.P. Candidate Paul Ryan; could use a copy of that book!


I BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST WAS THE FIRST “TRUE” COMMUNIST, BECAUSE I BELIEVE HE WAS THE FIRST TO SAY; EVERYTHING “BELONGS” TO EVERYONE. In that same vain, doesn't that include healthcare?


ARE “ALL” WOMEN & UNION MEMBERS THAT ARE REPUBLICANS JUST STUPID ?”
(rhetorical question), THAT MEANS, I KNOW THE ANSWER.




COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:



SAVE THE DATE, OCTOBER 17, FOR AN OREGON NATIONAL GUARD FUNDRAISER, HOLLOWEEN PARTY, 6pm AT THE 290 HALL IN TUALATIN; ALL DONATIONS APPRECIATED, and the responses seem to be coming in good.


The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, The President?, and our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. And based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs and picking Paul Ryan means they are locked and loaded.


The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program; and you can even make a donation through the U.A. Credit Union, and I did win one of the “BULL SESSION” drawings at the last Union meeting and told Dave S. to give it to Justin May and I did call Ed Ellis to help raise $ for them and I did tell him to use my 1st installment as a donation.




UNION REPORT:



HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE LABOR DAY WEEKEND.


LOCAL 290 WILL HAVE A SECTION AT THE OAKS PARK LABOR DAY PICNIC AND I WAS TOLD THEY HAVE OVER 400 SIGNED UP, AND WE WILL HAVE THE AFOREMENTIONED BUMPER STICKERS. IT HAS ALSO BEEN SUGGESTED THAT YOU PARK AT OMSI AND RIDE THE TRAIN STRAIGHT TO THE PARK TO AVOID THE TRAFFIC.


AND THEY ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A WELD SHOP FOREMAN, AND I MUST SAY, I AGREED WITH BROTHER DON CARTER THAT MAYBE PUTTING A FEW MORE HOURS ON THE CHECK MAY HELP.

We need to remember Brothers Jimmy Walters, Brother Bill Edens, brother Dennis Hutzenbieler, (who looked pretty good at Kara's wedding), Brother Sonny Newsom, brother Gil Freeland for their speedy and successful recoveries who are recovering from surgeries.

THE OLYMPIC'S STARTED AND WE HAD ONE OF OUR OWN, AN OREGONIAN GOLD MEDALIST; LEADING THE U.S.A. DELEGATION. U.S.A. U.S.A. ALSO I THINK candidate ro-money got the President a few more votes at the opening ceremony, and I think they agreed on Face The Nation this morning; and why do you suppose all those liberal TV and radio personalities love to bring up the fact that England, France, Germany and most of the rest of the enlightened world has free health care but forget to tell people they also have government's that SUPPORT unions, could one be tied to the other ?
