***MAJOR CHANGE IS IN THE WIND***

PERSONAL:



I awoke this morning at 6am, and took my am pills. (10), then laid back down until about 8am and awoke to a 3. I did check my B.P. this morning at 9:15am and it was 135/81/65. I am going to make some major changes in my blog and other things I did check out on line those new I Pads, and I saw where one went for $87.00 on an auction site?


I hope no one takes offense, but I'm thinking I am running this blog like a T.V. News director, by doing it basicly once and then repeating it over and over.


I am still working on correcting mistakes, AND NOT ALL OF THESE ARE MINE YOU KNOW!


I sure hope a new I pad helps.


IT STILL APPEARS I NEED AN ELECTRICTAN AS THE POWER IN THE KITCHEN IS STILL GONE :-( .




POLITICAL:




I did get one of my Obama Biden signs up today yesterday. I also found out that IBEW 48 is having regular election functions on Saturday's at their Hall in NE Portland.


CONGRATULATIONS CHARLIE HALES ON YOUR LOCAL 290 ENDORSEMENT.


SENATOR WYDEN, WE STILL NEED THOSE GOOD UNION JOBS ON THE PIPELINE AND COAL TERMINALS ! AND THE PORTLAND CITY COUNCIL COULD SURE STOP TRYING TO SLOW EVERYTHING DOWN, MANY OF THOSE GOOD JOBS WOULD ACTUALLY GO TO MEN AND WOMEN IN NORTH PORTLAND AMANDA ! I had a good conversation at B.T. With Barbara Smith Warner and she told me Senator Wyden would be in town in October and I will see if we can maybe get him out to the hall, the PAC meeting is the third Monday.


I must also say we have much to do before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear we will have a real coordinated campaign this year, and from what everyone is saying, we better. THANK YOU ASHLEY.

I received another fundraiser letter from Congressman Schrader and I will put his e mail address in here so you can help fight the “Rove Billions” ! And sign his petition to get us out of Afghanistan. And I also understand his lawn signs are ready.

Philosophy:



JUDI DID FIND ME A COOL IRISH SAYINGS BOOK THAT I WILL START ADDING HERE.


I will try to change them at least every few weeks, and here is the second:


How sweetly lies old Ireland, Emerald green beyond the foam, Awakening sweet memories, Calling the heart back home.


If we keep buying imports, where will our children work ?


IF YOU TELL YOURSELF A STORY LONG ENOUGH, PRETTY SOON YOU WILL HAVE YOURSELF BELIEVING IT. I am no longer a smoker !!


If other people think you are crazy, is it possible you could be ?


Is it easier to lie after that first one ?


How many people have been murdered over the centuries in the name of religion, especially so many that PROFESS they have a peaceful foundation ?


No matter how bad you think things are for you, and it pains me to say it, but; it's worse for many others, right here in the so-called “richest” country in the world, and it will be worse under a ro-money/ryan presidency.


I will put the prayers I have been posting again right here up front again, especially the repose of the soul of Uncle Hank, and for sister Danni, brother Gil. And thank you all for Rhyon, Christopher, cousin Amy, cousin Brandee and soon, nephew Rhett..

For sister Danni, nephews Steve & Daniel, cousin Dennis, sister Mary and Aunt Mary, and those who are having health issues; protecting Christopher, Rhyon, Brandee, Amy and Rhett, and all in need, and the repose of the soul of Uncle Hank Burgess. I did return the book to the church library, “BECOMING MORE LIKE CHRIST”; it is a basic guide to daily prayer and meditation and it has been uncanny in the assistance it has given me almost daily. I still think all those, so called, Christians in congress, especially V.P. Candidate Paul Ryan; could use a copy of that book!


I BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST WAS THE FIRST “TRUE” COMMUNIST, BECAUSE I BELIEVE HE WAS THE FIRST TO SAY; EVERYTHING “BELONGS” TO EVERYONE. In that same vain, doesn't that include healthcare?


ARE “ALL” WOMEN & UNION MEMBERS THAT ARE REPUBLICANS JUST STUPID ?”
(rhetorical question), THAT MEANS, I KNOW THE ANSWER.




COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:



SAVE THE DATE, NOVEMBER 17, FOR AN OREGON NATIONAL GUARD FUNDRAISER, HOLLOWEEN PARTY, 6pm AT THE 290 HALL IN TUALATIN; ALL DONATIONS APPRECIATED, and the responses seem to be coming in good.


The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, The President and our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. And based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs and picking Paul Ryan means they are locked and loaded.


The Oregon Military Support Network (OMSN) is having a spaghetti feed fundraiser also on on November 17th.


The Local 290 “DON SALEE” Member Assistance Program, and you can make a donation at the U.A. Credit Union.




UNION REPORT:



SENATOR WYDEN, AND PORTLAND CITY COMMISIONER FRITZ, WE NEED THOSE GOOD UNION JOBS ON THE PIPELINE AND COAL TERMINALS, SENATOR WYDEN WHEN YOUR IN TOWN IN OCTOBER MAYBE WE CAN GET TOGETHER, THE 3RD MONDAY PAC MEETING MAYBE!


I also received a phone call from brother Jeff and it appears his refinancing is going through with a great rate from Umqua Bank, which has me reviewing the SW Washington homes booklet I have.
