PERSONAL:


I awoke this morning to my alarm at 6:15am, and took my am pills. (12), and then went back to bed until after 9am and awoke to a 3. I took my five hour energy drink at about 9:45am because I was going to lunch with Peg, Eric and family, but I just talked to Judi and begged out because I woke up with a lot of pain in my hip. I took my B.P. at about 10:30am and it was 121/79/71. I slept late because because I didn't get home from Mass until after eight and not to bed until after eleven. Mass was a little spooky for me because of the Union meeting Friday night, because I did get my 3 resolutions finished, printed and to the meeting, and all 3 passed without a no vote. And it seemed the Gospel and seemed to be directly related to those three resolutions, and it seemed the Priest in his homily was at our Union meeting Friday night. I talked to Billy yesterday and he was meeting Kara for lunch today and was going to try to send me some Photo's from the presentation. Oh yeah, they also surprised me with my 40 year membership certificate and pin, and Al was kind enough to let cousin Bill present it to me, sister Clare and Brother Travis took pictures and a video and I sure hope I copies. I still have to check out on line those new I Pads, as I have a friend, and now cousin Bobbie who swear by theirs, although Judi is concerned because it is a Mac and a whole new language. I am not sure when I will post, but it will (hopefully) be before noon.


I am still working on correcting mistakes, AND NOT ALL OF THESE ARE MINE YOU KNOW!


IT STILL APPEARS I NEED AN ELECTRICTAN AS THE POWER IN THE KITCHEN IS STILL GONE :-( .




POLITICAL:



SENATOR WYDEN, WE STILL NEED THOSE GOOD UNION JOBS ON THE PIPELINE AND COAL TERMINALS ! AND THE PORTLAND CITY COUNCIL COULD SURE STOP TRYING TO SLOW EVERYTHING DOWN, MANY OF THOSE GOOD JOBS WOULD ACTUALLY GO TO MEN AND WOMEN IN NORTH PORTLAND AMANDA ! I had a good conversation Tuesday at B.T. With Barbara Smith Warner and she told me Senator Wyden would be in town in October and I will see if we can maybe get him out to the hall.


I did get to the old NWOLC building on Se 12th and Madison to Obama Biden H.Q. and got 4 lawn signs, but they wanted a $60 donation being they generally only give them out Monday's, Wednesday's and Saturdays, but after a little discussion, and the $60 bucks cash I got my four lawn signs, and then as luck would have it they were giving them away at the Union meeting and even though I didn't make the P.A.C. Meeting they did endorse Charlie Hales for Portland Mayor and Charlotte Lehan in Clackamas County.


I must also say we have much to do before the November elections, but I will also say, as a life-long Democrat; it does appear we will have a real coordinated campaign this year, and from what everyone is saying, we better. THANK YOU ASHLEY.

I received a fundraiser letter from Congressman Schrader and I will put his e mail address in here so you can help fight the “Rove Billions” ! And sign his petition to get us out of Afghanistan. And I also understand his lawn signs are ready.

JUDI DID FIND ME A COOL IRISH SAYINGS BOOK THAT I WILL START ADDING HERE.

I will try to change them at least ever few weeks, but here is the first:

If we keep buying imports, where will our children work ?

IF YOU TELL YOURSELF A STORY LONG ENOUGH, PRETTY SOON YOU WILL HAVE YOURSELF BELIEVING IT. I am no longer a smoker !!

If other people think you are crazy, is it possible you could be ?

Is it easier to lie after that first one ?

How many people have been murdered over the centuries in the name of religion, especially so many that PROFESS they have a peaceful foundation ?

No matter how bad you think things are for you, and it pains me to say it, but; it's worse for many others, right here in the so-called “richest” country in the world, and it will be worse under a ro-money/ryan presidency.

I will put the prayers I have been posting again right here up front again, especially the repose of the soul of Uncle Hank, and for sister Danni, brother Gil. And thank you all for Rhyon, Christopher, cousin Amy, cousin Brandee and soon, nephew Rhett..

For sister Danni, nephews Steve & Daniel, cousin Dennis, sister Mary and Aunt Mary, and those who are having health issues; protecting Christopher, Rhyon, Brandee, Amy and Rhett, and all in need, and the repose of the soul of Uncle Hank Burgess. We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. I did return the book to the church library, “BECOMING MORE LIKE CHRIST”; it is a basic guide to daily prayer and meditation and it has been uncanny in the assistance it has given me almost daily. I still think all those, so called, Christians in congress, especially V.P. Candidate Paul Ryan; could use a copy of that book!


I BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST WAS THE FIRST “TRUE” COMMUNIST, BECAUSE I BELIEVE HE WAS THE FIRST TO SAY; EVERYTHING “BELONGS” TO EVERYONE. In that same vain, doesn't that include healthcare?


ARE “ALL” WOMEN & UNION MEMBERS THAT ARE REPUBLICANS JUST STUPID ?”
(rhetorical question), THAT MEANS, I KNOW THE ANSWER.





COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & CHARITIES:



SAVE THE DATE, OCTOBER 27, FOR AN OREGON NATIONAL GUARD FUNDRAISER, HOLLOWEEN PARTY, 6pm AT THE 290 HALL IN TUALATIN; ALL DONATIONS APPRECIATED, and the responses seem to be coming in good.


The American Rights at Work still needs help; now more than ever. We must not take our eye off that MAIN issue, The President?, and our two Senators haven't; E.F.C.A. And based on what I have been seeing and hearing, the Republicans have Organized Labor directly in their cross hairs and picking Paul Ryan means they are locked and loaded.

THE SEPTEMBER UNION MEETING WAS AWESOME, AND WELL IT GOT OVER EARLIER THAN LATELY I MUST SAY, THE B.B.Q. WAS GREAT AND, AND THANK YOU AGAIN AL, FOR LETTING COUSIN BILL PRSENT ME MY PIN.
